@@zi326 It's an abbreviated version of the bro code, like how all travel items have to be a bit smaller to fit into luggage. Just not as much text with each rule.
Barney's story is kinda sad. Once you get over the perspective of "wow he's so cool, he's such a player" it's just a lot of insecurities, and a constant need to pretend to be someone you're not, just to get laid and hurt women you don't care about. At this point, does he even know who he is without that act? For a sitcom it's definitely fun to see him making shit up, but really it's miserable and pitiful.
