Yes, it's supposed to end like that for artistic purpose. It follows the storyline of the song and ends abruptly and unfinished just like the relationship and as predicted throughout. She knows and she out....he knew too! 🖤
@@odddevil9535 Exactly like the relationship after she finds out he cheated and lied about it. He knew she would leave too which is what he was afraid of throughout the song. The next song, Only Love, is what he’s going through after she left. It all makes sense including the abrupt unfinished ending of She Knows.
@@EmilPiano As far as I know it hasn’t been actually confirmed but it does make logical sense considering the lyrics of the song and the song that follows, Only Love, in which she has left him. I did see an interview where Josh said they left some imperfections on the album but even if this was one of them it had to be purposely left because it works with the theme. They are no longer some garage band making their first demo on their own, there is no way a mistake like that ending winds up on all streaming platforms, RUclips, the cd, etc., unless they wanted it there. They could’ve easily redone it if they wanted.
@@michaelchristy506josh confirmed himself that this song is actually about a simple breakup. But perhaps it could mean that he’s lying about still loving her rather than cheating. I’m not sure! I think the song can have multiple meanings.
Listening to it in the dark and the whole atmosphere changes, suddenly getting chills in a good way. The melody is perfectly balanced with the vocals (which are a haunting in a melancholy way) This whole album is making me cry but mostly this song right here 💙

I hear in an interview that “OK, I’m Sick” was about the victim, and “This Is How The World Ends” is about the villain. Obviously doesn’t apply to every song but yea, that was intentional.
this comment is gonna be so long but i really love this song and the lyrics and the morbid beauty of it all cw// mentions of relapse and suicide the more i listen to this, the more i think it's about relapse into some sort of addiction rather than cheating. the "i'm faithful i swear" line supports this in my opinion. i think it's from the perspective of someone who had been clean for a while and perhaps had promised their partner that they'd keep it that way but things get bad. they relapse but don't tell her. slowly more and more people find out. but they still don't tell her because they don't want to see her hurt. they need to see her happy. they need her to stay. without her they feel worthless. things are so far gone that they feel it'd be worse to tell her now because it'd only hurt more, knowing they'd kept it from her for so long as someone who's been in both positions multiple times i know how much it hurts for both, every time. the pressure of making promises when you don't know you can't keep them. the guilt when things start to go wrong. the pain of knowing the truth but not wanting to face up to it because then it'd be really true the way it builds up before it all gets loud when josh sings "when she cried, i caved" hits so damn hard and i think really shows the emotional torment for both characters and the toll it's taken on them both, probably without them realising with the abrupt ending, i think it's possible that that could be the moment where the speaker ends their life because it's all too much and they can't cope with it and they're realising just what they've done. i haven't got as much evidence to support that but i feel like it's a reasonable explanation, other than the band just wanting it like that the song is the speaker realising and breaking down, the repetitiveness of the chorus is like them crying out. the way the guitar builds and builds and then lets loose in the solo could be like their tears. the wail during the solo would be literally the speaker screaming in despair this is all just my theories but i think i'm probably not far off. i love how straight up the song is whilst simultaneously leaving it up for interpretation. badflower are a phenomenal band with such raw and moving songs, the likes of which i've never heard before, easily one of the best bands on the scene right now. i cannot wait to see them support palaye royale next year :) if you've read this far then thank you for reading my mini essay and i hope you're doing ok

She's crying
I feel the tension's rising
Inside I'm scheming
Anything to stop her leaving
Does she know my secret?
Did someone leak it?
Sometimes I get scared
But I'm faithful, I swear
I've made mistakes
But I know I can change
Still I lay awake
'Cause I lied to her face
Does she know?
Does she know?
We made up
She still put on her makeup
And we go out dancing
She doesn't smile or call me handsome
She gives me silence
Her energy like violence
She loves me truly
But she looks right through me
I've made mistakes
But I know I can change
Still I lay awake
'Cause I lied to her face
Does she know?
Does she know?
And I wonder
How long I'll keep this from her
I hate these secrets
But as long as she believes it
We'll stay happy and together
I can't lie forever
I've made mistakes
And she knows I can't change
All the truths I've faked
When she cried
I caved
Now she knows
Now she knows
Now she knows
Now she knows
She knows, oh
Now she knows
Now she knows
Now she knows
Now she knows
Now she knows
