Stranded in a Lookout Tower by a Surprise Snowstorm. Mountain top rescue

- I got called by a couple who was stranded in a mountain top lookout tower by a surprise snow that came a day early. They had planned to leave that morning before the snow came the following evening, but when they woke up they were greeted by around 18” of snow that their Subaru couldn’t get through. What they didn’t know was that down the mountain farther the snow was WAY worse and they were in a lot more serious of a situation than they thought.
When they called me, we decided that since there was no more snow coming that day or night, it would make sense to wait until the following day so that we had a full day to perform the rescue, and that allowed me to formulate a better plan. Since this was so far away from home, and was so deep into the wilderness, I didn’t want to try this one alone. So I called my buddy Adam with Remote Access Medical, and he brought along his medic Bryan to help out.
The following morning we took my American Track Truck @Jeep, and Adam’s @AmericanExpeditionVehicles Prospector up and
ran into FAR more snow than we were expecting. We ended up hitting about 4’ of snow at a very low elevation and all came to the conclusion that there was no way that car was getting out in one piece, so this was most likely turning into a people rescue mission, not a vehicle recovery. After an hour and a half of pushing through the snow, we finally made it to the top were we had a long conversation with the owners and they made the call to take the risk, and try to get the car out anyways.

Thank you for rescuing my son. He's incredibly lucky to have you and your team available. I'm so glad nobody actually needed the medics but it was a really good idea to bring them along. Those are amazing machines I had no idea even existed so I learned a lot as well. Hope he did too. 🙄
I agree. It would have sucked being there until spring. Thanks for helping my son too!!!!
I bet you were relived to know your son got rescued im very happy for you
Case is the man, never takes bank, Nate seems ;like a great dude to go on more adventures 🙂Great job guys.
You're welcome. Happy to help.
Lol....lemme guess- u expressly told him "I don't think u should go this is a bad idea" amd he said "yes yes Mom- it will b fine!" And went anyways
A lot of people suggest a snowplow, but there’s very good reason we don’t use one. Number one is that there is no way in hell any normal sized vehicle is pushing through that deep of snow with a plow. Keep in mind that there was another foot to foot and a half of snow under how far we were sinking down in that intro clip. Notice that the highway departments all over the country use full size dump trucks loaded with weight in the back to plow through up to a couple feet of FRESH snow, and then have to switch to snowblowers when it gets any deeper than that. It’s simply not feasible/possible to plow roads all over the forests, especially once we get a little later into the season and the snow hardens up.
The other reason is that we are not the only ones who use these roads and trails. These are all winter recreation areas used by off readers, snowmobilers, skiers, and snow shoers. The forest service would never allow us to destroy their winter recreation areas to save someone’s vehicle. This particular road we were on is one of those areas that closes to wheeled vehicles in less than two weeks and becomes a very popular snowmobile trail for the rest of the season. Removing all the snow from a major snowmobile trail right before it opens is simply NOT an option, even if it was possible to do so.
Long story short, plow blades are cheap and if they actually worked for the type of recoveries I do, I would already have one.
I wasn't so much thinking of a real plow, just something triangular on the front since your front grill seemed to be pushing snow at times anyway, where the bottom wouldn't go below your bumper/frame but would help keeping the snow from building up on the front of the vehicle. That's just the engineer in me trying to find solutions to every minor issue.
I have a snow sport plow it's light and has a rubber bottom doesn't tare up the ground like others just a thought love the vids .
@@seannordeen5019 that creates another problem, because now you’re lifting your vehicle off the snow, which decreases traction.
I used to cross country ski on all the back roads in New Hampshire. I would be pretty ticked off if some clown had plowed it when I got there
@ZARGON the only snowcat that would be practical for me would be a Tucker Terra Light with all rubber tracks. But even that couldn’t plow a road like that, and I wouldn’t want to plow a road like that anyways
I can’t believe you do that with no charge. It gives me a little faith in humanity. Awesome video
“Take my Jeep, go down the mountains, I will stay here”. This is exactly what I was thinking when you came in the cabin!
It's a lot of people's dreams, but in reality everyone I've ever met would go insane after the first 3 months. Most people could never handle solitary confinement, no matter what they say. People in prison can survive days or weeks in solitary. Less than 1% can survive months or years in solitary, and even then, there is still plenty of human contact every few weeks.
You have to be a true lone wolf to survive, and actually crazy to really enjoy the minimum 7 months of isolation. Cell service would be an extreme luxury where I live, but without solar panels a phone would be a worthless brick in the first few weeks. You would also need some basic knowledge in the local flora, because even if you could collect enough meat for the entire winter, you would likely die from scurvy. There are enough vitamins available even in winter (vitamin C is critical), but you would NEED to know every possible source, and collection, and prep methods.
My dad and I did a week with no food, no guns, and only a fishing pole. The lakes we lived near were an easy luxury, but in November the ice fishing was awful. We caught 3 small trout after about 70 hours of ice fishing. Spruce tea became a staple, and while tasty at first, it was miserable by day 5. It gave us a few mandatory nutrients but after 7-8 months of winter it would have been intolerable. My slingshot bagged us a porcupine, and that was a huge morale booster. It tasted awful but I've been told that it can taste great if prepared properly. Something I learned on that trip was that salt is infinitely more valuable than a hatchet. Unfortunately halite is impossible to find in winter, so a large solid brick of salt would be essential for any extended trip. (I've never seen nor heard of a "survivalist" talking about how important salt is.) If we had a gun and it was legal to do so, we could easily have had a few elk and a moose; fine for protein, calories and basic nutrients for the winter, but still deadly without other options.
Lookout.
Casey, when you gave the money to Adam and Bryan, it just proved how much of a total rock star you are! It is truly no wonder at all why you have so many terrific friends, and why there is so much banter between all of you. It was fun to listen to Nate as this went along (and most of us can fill in the blanks I'm sure).
Agreed!!
you are so right! Casey has good Karma to Spare!
Let the good deeds go forward.
The ad revenue and advertising for his company make up for it. RUclips isn't like the glory days, but with 125k subscribers, I'm sure his ad revenue just from the channel, and not even counting actual towing revenue, fully pays for all his fuel and equipment and overhead, and insurance. So the hundreds of dollars daily for towing goes right in his pocket. He seems nice. But he's not doing this for free. Nor should he. 😂
@@sasquatchrosefarts actually, the subscriber number has absolutely ZERO relationship to how much RUclips pays. My pay is based on video view numbers, and watch time hours. I actually lose money on the vast majority of these videos, and then every so often one will do good enough to make up for the losses. Some months that will happen a few times, some months it doesn’t happen at all. As a matter of fact, I haven’t had a profitable month since May. The towing company doesn’t make any money. RUclips completely killed the towing business and it’s done a grand total of 5 paying jobs this year. That’s actually why I bought the big truck and am hesitant to film most of the jobs I do with it. I needed something that would provide a consistent profitable income without relying on RUclips, because RUclips is definitely not paying the bills. Between the jobs and RUclips, I put in far more hours now, and bring in less money, than I did when it was just me and my one little truck going to work every day.
It’s pretty badass to have the capability to do this sort of thing for people in need. Literally making the world a better place, helping out your fellow man. People these days need a lot more of this in their feeds and less toxic BS.
Your comment is spot on this world is about supporting each other and being the best we can possibly be!
I have to question those needs. In most cases, people do stupid sh*t and then have to be saved from the results of that sh*t.
Omg!! If they couldn’t get up there & get them out .. What other options did they have to get out of there??
This video is on track to be the second one to hit a million views! Keep liking and sharing to see if we can do it!!
It's cool ✌️
Awesome work Gentleman.
I never would have guessed that truck would have made it there and back, what a beast of a machine!
That Jeep with them Tracks is awesome too! It sure made quick work of the task at hand.
Could you have looped the tow rope from your hitch, around and under your axle, then hook up to the car?
That would have kept the tow rope much lower, wouldn't it?
This is an excellent video
💪😎👍❤🙏
I’ve watched it like 4 times lol. I’m almost done building a tracked rig so the jeep in deep snow gets me excited
I don't know what's wrong with me, why am I so addicted to snow videos?
Even with me and the kids begging, my wife says I can’t have a tracked Jeep. Says watching you will have to do. So please keep posting these awesome videos so at least we can get our “fix”. Stay safe!
One wife for sale. Slightly used. 😅
Sorry bout yer 🥜🥜
Here is how you justify your purchases: You buy what you want, put it in the garage or somewhere where your wife can't see the purchase. When you finally bring your purchase out where she can see it and she asks 'when did you get that', you reply 'oh, I have had it in the garage for sometime'. Problem solved.
Isn't it easier to ask for forgiveness then ask for permission? Asking for a friend.
I don't ask. In fact my Mattracks are being built now
Years ago (maybe 35) a couple of older guys got caught in an early snow at high elevation during deer season. They were many days over due and search and rescue were looking for them for days. Chopper finally spotted them and air lifted them out. Their truck with camper stayed there till spring thaw. The guys were none the worse for wear, food, or water when rescued. They had begun to ration their meals though. Said they could hear CB radio traffic talking about them and searching for them but couldn't reach them with their radio. A lesson or two learned. Winter weather is unforgiving of mistakes. Been there seen and done that.
When you said a Subaru was at the top, I pictured that guy exactly. Go figure.
Casey, thank you for your Service and how you make a difference for the greater good with these rescues you do in the Cascade Region. You are a great example of being a good man to all of us that feel very fortunate to have found your channel and will be a dedicated follower of your mountain rescue activities.
I have been involved in the Search and Rescue arena since 1973 as a volunteer, Sheriff and USAF SAR Mission pilot. I was based in Oregon for 15 years and flew over 2000 hours during my career for SAR Missions. I would like to meet you some time in the future and share rescue stories.
May you have fair winds and following seas in the rescue journey that lies ahead for you. All the best S. Bakker AKA- Call sign Guardian 1
I'm sitting here daydreaming about riding up the mountain with you guys, what an awesome video. Super capable vehicles, with incredible men to the rescue.
Same here. Instead I'm on my couch lol
Well that was a pretty dang amazing rescue video. I can see how people get in trouble there when you get those heavy snow falls and I am sure that the weather forecasters are always off on the amounts. Your Jeep did freaking amazing Casey , never so much as a hiccup. I am glad that everything turned out good , thanks for taking us along!
the weather in the cascades is very unpredictable no matter where you are, north or south. it's a nasty mountain range for weather... one time i was in the north cascades during august, beautiful 75-degree day. in the time span of 90 minutes, it went from sunny 75 degrees to overcast 28 degrees, 25mph wind with snow, then back to sunny 75 degrees. no warning, nothing like that in the forecast.
Nate was just using colorful working words!!!!
Young man i am an 64 yrs out doors man i just hav to say you young man you are one of the most kind an giving men i hav ever incountered Iv raised 2 kids that give more than they take as well.Your parents must be so proud to call you son...Keep up the great work young man Thanks for the smiles .....
The clear weather made this a deceptively beautiful rescue.
Thank you for taking us along.
The Office of Tourism in Oregon ought to be proud of your work, showing us the beauty of Oregon like you do.
Best video yet. That was certainly an amazing trip for all concerned. Having the medic guys along was a very good idea, given the conditions experienced. The intro and the music accompaniment was really great. And you have added Nate to the cast of characters who are your wingmen. The scenery in that area is beautiful. EDIT - I have watched this video all the way through fifteen times, it is that enjoyable.
I think the reason these and Matt’s videos are so good is because there’s a story arc every time. You start with a problem, begin perpetration and the journey there, you go through struggles and challenging situations, and usually, end up coming away victorious.
That's a really good observation. Also, the manufactured drama in so much of what is on actual TV these days is like a caricature of real life. The writers of those shows (even the "reality" shows) make it so extreme that it is readily noticeable and very unrealistic. These RUclips videos are just people doing their jobs and you get the same arc, but the level of drama is so much more authentic.
If this was a television show the tracked jeep would have thrown a track, or the Ram would have gotten stuck and needed pulled out. Maybe one of the campers would be suffering from a medical emergency.
Here they we just stuck, which is still a very life threatening situation. There was a tough choice to make about leaving the car or not. And, like you observed, we have a Hollywood ending.
Sounds like marriage.
I was thinking “they need a sled” but the Subaru was the sled. Thanks for sharing.
This is one of the coolest videos! It did look like you guys were havin a grand ol' time. It's easy to do that when you have good, capable friends helping into/out of sketchy situations. Nice hand off of the tip those folks gave you. 👌. What views! All of it from the chest high snow that looked like you were actually plowing the road open to looking off into the mountains. That old tower set-up too was way cool.
And yes it was on account of your transmission Nate won the race. Without your transmission to transmission power from engine to wheels, driving skills matter not!
Another great job by somebody who's "not good at this"!
Thanks for taking us along Casey.👍
Very cool how you continuously put others first on so many levels. One the big one helping that couple out of bad jam. Two giving the gas money to Adam. Three giving a transmission to Nate. I consider your videos to be some of the best examples of what it takes to just be a straight up good human being. VERY NICE.
It's uncanny how you guys manage to always find all the fun ways to put in a days work while helping someone in it real deep 👍
As a fellow Oregonian, I so appreciate the beauty of Mt Hood and the situations people get themselves in trying to do recreation on it. Awesome rescue! You guys are so much fun!
Casey
You're such a good man and a great dad! The world needs more people like you.
We wanted to do something to bless you. I'm thinking some books for Riley.
All the best to you and your family
Philip and Christina Winburn
AWESOME JOB! REALLY ENJOYED seeing Nate along with you.
THANK YOU to everyone that helped go help someone to needed helped. It is COOL to see so many different people with different abilities come together to go out and help accomplish things for strangers. Casey you are luck to have groups of friends and people to call. I think it was so smart having the 2nd rig but also someone who knows the area and who can medically help. Thank Lord no one need medical.
I probably would of asked to do the same can we try get my car down even if it does get damaged.
GREAT JOB EVERYONE! 👍
Nate is a great wingman and a funny guy. Well worth the editing to have him along.
When you got to the point on the way down where there was the possibility of the Subaru going it alone on the other road, visions of the Donner Party crossed my mind. Glad all went well. This was a great Subaru commercial.
It was so well filmed, I had to put on a sweatshirt, I got cold! Awesome video, great bunch of guys. Two very lucky people were rescued. I don't think they comprehended how much actual danger they were in...food until May, doubt they had that.
Yes, sooo well filmed
Yes, the filming is really beautiful. Yes, I got really cold, with freezing fingers!
Isn’t there always a helicopter rescue option ?
Awesome video Casey, was great to see you have Nate and the other guys and very capable truck go along with you on that recovery. I never thought that car would make it out without any damage. It would be great if those other guys would go with on your longer traveled recoveries for backup.
When they were making that trip up there through that untouched snow, it reminded me of that scene from the movie, The Shining where that cook took a Snowcat and went up to try to rescue the little boy and his mother from the Overlook Hotel. I'm sitting here in my warm house in Nashville and it's over 50 degrees OUTSIDE plus I even have a little space heater at my feet in addition to the central heat but watching that, I still feel like I'm freezing!
Having Nate on here made it funnier. He's such a nice funny guy. Absolutely love your vlogs!
I love the 4x4 Wood blocks used to get on and off the trailer smoothly. Such a simple solution to a problem. 👍
Lookout towers are pretty cool and the drone shot confirmed the magnificant places they are at! I really enjoyed this adventure. The suspense, friend's interaction and humor, Nate's commentary and McGyvering, the views, the icicles, the epic snow and tracks plowing through it. Seeing the rescuers cars struggle, and then a Subaru comfortably sliding behind them was pretty funny. They are so lucky to get out this way!
Good to hear that (part of) the Red Cherokee is still saving other people's day.
Stupid is stupid. Why, in the dead of winter, do you fine gentleman have to risk life and limb to rescue people like them who don't use common sense and stay a little closer to reality in the dangerous areas in winter. Thank you four gentleman for being true heros. Hope he makes it to work. Bless you for your service.
This video was fantastic! Your videos are so entertaining. Beautiful scenery. Awesome service you do for people at no charge.
Sprinkling Kindness like confetti 🎉 Good things come to good people like you!! Happy Holidays
Having soloed on the ocean, I am a firm believer of having three qualified crew. there is perfect and each has a particular set of skills. . .Well done.
Rorys I hate Casey shirt brought me here. I love how you call out the haters and tell it like it is in regards to sponsorships, Heavy D, etc. subscribed and on a binge. You and Rory are at the top of my recovery list. I’ve deleted more than I’ve followed lately.
That was sooo unbelievable! Talk about snow, you guys hit the mother load! Glad that it turned out okay for everyone! Love the Jeeps performance! 💯👍😎
It was great at the end when Casey figured out how a Subaru made it up to the tower. The couple being rescued were pretty cool. He was obviously down for an adventure--didn't get to have it on skis, so he bolted out of there in his newly freed Subaru to go make an adventure out of his 3.5 hour ride home. Nice video as always. Thanks for sharing!
Many years ago a few friends and I were riding our dirt bikes up in the mountains in the spring. We were east of Hagelstien Park. (Next to Klamath Lake) The snow was still frozen, and we could go anywhere. We went for miles up to a look-out. We went up and ate our lunch admiring the awesome view. We decided to head back, fired up the bikes and went about a foot, and went in clear to the frame. We tried to pack a trail to get some speed up, but it was no use. We were about 9 miles from bare roads, and 30 miles from the trucks. So we just had to build a fire and wait until it froze up again, (we hoped), and then ride out. By about 12:AM, it had frozen up enough that we could go. We did need to keep our speed up, but we did make it out. Only one of us had lights (me), so I was in the lead, and I was also the one that found all of the soft spots. LOL This was in the early 70s.
The wives were less than pleased, but were happy that we at least made it out.
Intense story. What memories!
@@TheWestlandgirl I will never forget it, that is for sure.
I keep watching and I’m astonished by the lack of gratitude from the dude being rescued.
You should put little Subaru stickers on your window for every one you pull out.
I did not think the Subaru would come off that mountain, least in one piece. Another outstanding job done ! Not even a scratch on the car.
That was an awesome video Casey! Glad you got Nate to go with you as well as the other rig. There is safety in numbers and you played it safe. If I ever make it to Oregon I want to stay at that lookout tower. It is absolutely beautiful up there. If it's winter I'd have to pay you to take me up there and come get me, in the tracked Jeep.
Survival 101, never go off on your own. These rescuers are there to save your life.
Who goes into the mountains, in the winter, in anything but a four wheel drive, high clearance vehicle? The tower looked great to stay at. I’m sure they were very happy to be rescued.
Thanks for capturing this rescue, has to be one of your best recoveries. We need more details on that lookout tower and how come it is there.
Fire lookout. They are all over the place
Now we have fire satellites, so no need to pay someone to sit in a tower.
@@dubious6718No satellites. They just replace the people with cameras on the towers that are already in place. One person can watch many cameras. The tower I used to work at now has cameras.
@@lookoutman1970 They also use satellites. The maps are even open for the public to see where there is ongoing fires.
That was a really good video!! The extraction went a lot smoother than I thought. I was agreeing with you, Casey, that the Subaru was going t suffer some damage. But thanks to you guys off-setting your tracks out, plus the snow being very light and fluffy it made it out just fine! I'll bet that was one REALLY GRATEFUL couple!!
I was employed as a tow truck driver and I know that the tow hooks are designed for short ditch recovery there are also frame hook points that are stronger.
This was awesome! Nate is a great co-pilot. Enjoyed watching.
Same thing happened to me once. was sitting at 11,500ft in a rental that took 6 months to book and then it dumped 18" of snow overnight with drifts hitting 3ft.
The next day I had a rescue company pull my car down the mountain. I wish they had a youtube channel it was a lot of fun.
It can happen really easy. I’ve been very close to getting stuck by surprise snowstorms as well, but I wasn’t lucky enough to be in a lookout tower!
Sounds fun How much was the pull out????$$$
@@jimanderson2518 they operate for free on national forest roads. "Colorado 4x4 rescue and recovery". Showed up in jeeps with 40s and didn't use chains.
That truck was a beast !! Awesome recovery and video !!!
Incredible video! The tracked Jeep is way cool, but that Ram is a BEAST. Can't believe how well it did in that deep snow.
Most scenic recovery I've ever been on. Absolutely beautiful.
Nate is HILARIOUS! You need to FORCE him along on more adventures.
".... OK youtubers, now you listen to Nate mouth breathe" So funny.
People amaze me as to all the different situations they get stuck in. You just come to the rescue. How wonderful.
I can't believe you did not charge him for this recovery, you are awesome!
You provided a service, therefore you should have been paid.
Would love to be stranded in a lookout tower away from society for awhile. Sounds like heaven
Nice recovery, yeah by yourself that would’ve been pretty nerve-racking, and the Subaru did better than we all thought, good job
Well done, Casey. I was glad to see the guy give some cash for the rescue. You don't charge and sometimes their poor judgment gets them in a bad situation or just having a bad day and they should offer something. You offered it to your buddy to cover his fuel for the assistance was a "pure gentleman". Nate is a character. You def need the "uncut" versions, we are missing the funnier parts.
That Wrangler is beast mode! Love it!
That jeep is so awesome with the tracks. I cant believe how it just plows right thru,I also cant believe how good the pick up truck did.
Thanks.... Enjoyed soo much. This is the great side of RUclips.
This was a great adventure video. The track jeep did amazing. I was also impressed with the pickup with the mondo tires, I was surprised how well it did. Although I think your tracks breaking the snow helped them too. That couple was so lucky that first there was a vehicle like yours available, and second that the Subaru when rigged like you did just became a big toboggan and was able to sled across that deep snow.
Shows where you don't think about where and when going camping means risking your life, and the loss of use of your car for six months, and it may be parted out like the leftovers you pull out during the forest cleanup days when you do get to it.
I hope Nate can join you on more recoveries. He's a cool guy, you two are hilarious together, and I think he really enjoyed the adventure. I would not have bet that vehicle would come out unscathed, but I'm glad everything went so well. Gosh I hate snow! I have worked in it, shoveled it, driven in it, wrecked in it- not my fault! enough in my life. I wouldn't mind if I never seen any again. You guys stay safe in it, and GOD bless.
That was very sweet of you for giving your buddy that money that was given to you. Happy endings all around.👏🏻💖
THAT WAS REALLY AWESOME OF YOU ALL TO RESCUE THOSE PEOPLE!! LOVE WHAT YOU DO FOR OTHERS!!
That was awesome! I would have loved to be on that recovery! Fun in the snow! So glad you got the car out and I'm sure they were happy too! Yay Nate got first! Thanks to everyone who went with you. I agree, would have made me feel better too.
Lived on a mountain pass for thirty years.....you get real tired of the stupid people fast.
New sub who doesn’t usually sub to channels however because you don’t charge the people you rescue, you deserve every sub you get!
Casey your AWESOME. Thank you for everything you do.
Great video!!! Keeping your cool in such a dicey situation was great. Loved the winter office. You can have it. I had my fill of snow by the time I was 18. I grew up in Northern Iowa where winter snows often came in November and didn't leave till April. I love the winter pictures, just not being in them.
You are so Amazing Casey! You and everyone that helped are God sent. Y'all are awesome! Thanks for all you do!💖
OMG what a rescue!!! You guys are beyond amazing!! I was thinking geez, maybe leave them a couple bags of corn chips and some chili. Miracle workers 😇
Thank you for all you do helping others in need of rescue.
I’ve rented one of those lookouts before. It was amazing. You have to book a year in advance tho because there aren’t many of them and they are in high demand. The one I stayed in looked out over the Rogue River and the views were epic. It still had the Osborne fire spotting device.
I love these types of rescues, great job guys
Great rescue guys.! Thanks for doing this. Just awesome!
U guys r awesome! Thanx 4 helping these peeps!
Wow I don’t know what to say!!! That was an amazing mountain SNOW RESCUE!!! We’ll done👏👏👏👍👍.
Thanks for sharing the adventure!!
One of the best vids yet, Casey! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! That dodge build was insane. I took a quick peek at AEV's website for their builds and that was a $125k build easily. but I never would have thought that giant diesel would have been floating across the snow like that. I thought for sure He would have buried it.
Loved the New jeep on the tracks! That was just amazing to watch and to see the subie just sledding its way behind you. Very fun vid gentlemen!
And there was zero hesitation when you handed the cash to Adam. Youre a good Man, Casey.
That was just fantastic. You do great work helping people. God bless you guys 👍💯🇺🇸
Brings back memories of younger days, I used to ski all over Mt Hood & Bachelor, love me some of our Oregon majesty... Great rescue guys, the scenery just made it that much better....
Well you promised snow recoveries and this one certainly delivered. Loved it! Keep up the good work.
World class vid, Casey. Wow, well done, heros! Thanking you for posting this and for the example you and your friends set. Good job and God bless you, and all hidden heros round the world. 😇🙏🕊️🎶🤗🥰👍
You are all wonderful men , and have hearts of gold . Be safe
Such a cool rescue! Thanks for filming
That was incredible! Beautiful scenery!
I'm really enjoying the beauty and simplicity of the outside the jeep shots on the way up to the lookout, especially as opposed to static mounted inside shots with talking the entire time. Y'all really hit a nice balance! Nice camera work on your absolutely elated buddy riding up with you, loved seeing his happiness at just being a part of the whole endeavor. ❤
Great to see Prof out there doing good works for the community, not just making bangers.
Wow, just found you guys, what an adventure!! I'm a 73 yr old G'ma & I'd watch your unedited vers!🤣 That dude took off on the hwy like a bat outta hell, hope he didn't wreck the Subaru!! BTW they're manuf 30 miles from me in Indiana!
Carry on, loved it!!!🙏💕🙏
That was an awesome recovery Casey! Congrats on your win Nate, good to see you on here again!
Great to see you on a recovery Nate. This was awesome Casey and the scenery was beautiful. What a Winter wonderland!!
The snow up there is absolutely beautiful. I would love to spend a week up in that lookout tower with that snow.
This video was a really good watch. Lots of beautiful snowy wilderness!
Very lucky couple. Casey to the recovery. (And Nate)! Wise idea to keep all three rigs together. Usually, misery loves company but in this case, it turned into relief and fun. Actually, I thought the couple in the car were constantly beeping horn to stop. NO, just creative censorship. Nate was a hoot for ride along, he should be with you more often. Grumpy and Ben stayed by their respective wood stoves. (Wise choice). The recovered couple will have another adventure about their life story. The worry was not about snow to deep at the tower, but running out of supplies. Do I hear the William Tell Ovature playing in the background.......Hi O Silver....aaawwwwaaaayyyy!
LOVE the scenery, especially all of that snow! :)
What an amazing jeep.
Awesome job and very smart thinking bringing another vehicle with medics and mechanics.
Good thing you got them out when you die before the next storm hit.
When the Subaru owner was talking about going 3.5 hours another way alone I'm thinking hell no, too risky and without help before the next storm got there. They could be stranded in the car.
What a phenomenal group of men.
And super cool tower.
Awesome rescue! So happy you are all safe.
Looks like a blast. Glad you got new tracks. I think the bridle actually helped keep the front clip intact.
