- Located just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., Arlington is a popular destination for those who want to live close to the nation’s capital while still enjoying a suburban lifestyle. The city is situated just minutes away from Washington, D.C. and is well connected to other major cities through its public transportation system, making it an ideal choice for those who work in the city. Additionally, the city’s close proximity to major airports, including Reagan National and Dulles International, makes it super easy to travel in and out of the city.
Arlington offers both advantages and challenges to its residents. With its close proximity to Washington, D.C., strong job market, and high quality of life, the city is an ideal choice for many families. However, its high cost of living, crowdedness, and traffic, are important factors to consider before making a decision to live here.

Rick, this is great info. As someone moving to the Greater DC area in a few months, I've been actively trying to figure out exactly which area to live in and Arlington is at the top of the list.
Awesome, glad it helped! Many of the people I work with that are interested in moving to Arlington enjoy Alexandria as well. I'll have that video out in the next day or two. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thanks for watching!
How’d your move go? Let us know how we can help!
Great info!
Thanks!
I grew up in N. Arl., VA from 1950-1976 on Patrick Henry Dr, at the Rte.66 overpass. House was taken when freeway built. Went to McKinley Elem., Swanson Jr. High and Washington-Lee High School. Fsther was WWII Veteran and worked at the State Dept. We walked to school every day, played till dark ALL over the place and Never heard of any dangerous threats to us. Far Cry from today!😢 BTW, W-L was the #2 rated H.S. nationwide in 1966-1968.
Its funny you mention fitness lol I was watching a virtual drive through around the city (possibly might be moving out there) and I was surprised to see so many people jogging lol
It’s so true!
Cheaper than where I’m considering relocating from (San Diego )so looks amazing.
Absolutely. It’s all relative and dependent on where you’re moving from! 👍
Could you please break down the cost of living? Wonder if it’s significantly higher than in Austin TX
I certainly will! I’ll have a video up about that asap
Is Falls Church considered in Arlington, or is that a totally separate city? Is that a good secondary option for families?
Hey! Falls Church is its own independent city within Virginia. Fantastic area. I'll have a video on Falls Church coming out soon but if you have any further questions about it feel free to reach out
Grew up in Arl. Had many friends and business in F.C. Very nice!
in your opinion, what is a good annual salary for a comfortable life in arlington? just got an offer there but ive never been, i don't really care to have a car and like things like going out, sight seeing etc
It certainly depends on many factors! Give me a call or send me a text and we can discuss 443-837-5059. There are some amazing, walkable places for you to check out. We’re happy to help get a game plan set up for you to make your move if you end up taking your job offer!
Hello! Firstly, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the video and have already subscribed :D
Just for some context, I'm a single 20 year-old guy in Charlotte NC, and am a cybersecurity consultant earning $96k/year. I'm considering to move to the Arlington area this summer and am looking for a more exciting place to live. Given my salary, do you think living in Arlington is feasible, particularly with or without owning a car with a one-bedroom/studio? I remember you mentioned the cost of living is very high and am curious to know your thoughts :D
Also, are there any neighborhoods you might recommend given my circumstances from a social and financial perspective? Thanks!
Thanks for subscribing, glad you enjoyed the video! I’d be happy to discuss this more and make a game plan that will work best for you! Text or call my cell or you can book a zoom call. All my info is in the description!
Nice very cleared information please what is the single bed room rent cost?
Job option Maintenance technician

Love the Afghan community in VA.
Can you do a video on Alexandria VA? Please
Certainly can!
here is the first Alexandria video, which is a full driving tour. Pros and Cons coming in the next couple of days. ruclips.net/video/lU1kUq84rcI/видео.html
@@RickHartunian Yayyyy thank you 😊
I go where you go, EM.
I doubt you go here.
Check out my Arlington full tour videos maybe I actually drive where you go every morning!
VA is not low tax, but anywhere would probably look good after CA taxation. VA has plenty of crime and illegal immigration, but then so does CA.
