- I've been doing this for over 10 years now, and I always get asked the same question - "what's the toughest thing you've ever put in foam?"
Well, it's not quite that simple, as I believe with Shadow Foam, I can organize anything so this week, I challenged cameraman Matty to find me his top 5 most difficult items to organize in Shadow Foam!

The paddle mixer would be an ideal candidate for those plastic Christmas tree storage boxes. Obviously only a seasonal purchase. The box, not the mixer.

Content suggestion. Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2 inch Router The router comes in a duffle bag with lots of accessories and a cheap cardboard insert. It is crying out for Shadow foam.

It would be good if there was a library of templates that could be used for cutting out the more challenging tools even better if they had the ideal depth marked on them.
Something like an angle grinder is difficult as the tool often wants to be only half inserted into the foam and so cutting around using the item is never going to be ideal whereas cutting around a template for the most common tools would be a lot easier.
I would love the paddle mixer as my dad is a plasterer and I would love to give it to him as a present. Another awesome video

Paddle mixer maybe best sticking in a plastering bucket standing the paddle vertically thin end in the bucket
Camera and Tech gear seems like a good fit for shadow foam. Be interesting to see more electronics.

I would love the gimbal, if it is available. I don't live in the UK though, but in Germany, so maybe that disqualifies me. Anyway, fun video again. About the mixer, I think I would have looked for a longer case, something more like a deep rifle case.

That paint sprayer would be awesome for me loosing some of the weight to a shoulder strap would be great with not having the ability to swap arms when one gets tired.
Seeing it reminds me I’ve got about 80-90ft of 6ft high feather board fence to paint at some point 😢 so will definitely come in handy soon

I could definitely use a couple of those items on my projects, but if I was given the pick of them I'd take the Hohem gimbal for my young nephew who makes transport themed videos with only his phone. Nice work packing everything, and yes keeping cables tidy is a pain, I like the little tin idea.

Wow that mixer was a bugger eh, but I think that gimbal unit would be pretty amazing to have. It sounds/looks like it would be pretty handy to use while filming with my iPhone, so I would pick it if I were to be chosen.

I don’t know much about that phone thingy looks cool… but if I had to pick a prize it would be that chair! I have a similar one in my shop but not as loaded I bought it about 5 years ago . But I still would love to see you do a complete socket Extensions ratchets like the set I have cause I can’t figure out how to do it! They would have to stand on end to get all 300 ish sockets to fit in my us general 44 inch pro tool chest! Thank you for the time you put into your videos to entertain and educate your viewers!

@@ShadowFoam I have around 30 ish 1/4 3/8 1/2 inch from 1/2 inch long to 4 foot long extensions about 15 ratchets and my sockets are different brands from harbor freight to sunex craftsman USA snap on Mac standard metric low profile to extra deep …. My tool collection is from 50 years of working on everything from auto heavy equipment big trucks and trawlers….
Milwaukee do a really big double length wheeled packout case that I bet would fit that mixer nicely.
Do really need to invest in those!

Great video! Just bought some shadow foam for a knife box I'm making, although I'm finding it hard to cut some blade slots in it, any tips for cutting/peeling a deep slot that's only 3 mil wide? Also, I've wanted a hang drum since I first saw one back in 2012, so I would love to win 1, either way, I appreciate the entertainment from this video as well as your great products. Thanks
Best advice I could give is to peel with tweezers, I have had to cut and peel such narrow spaces very often so that’d be the only advice I have to share so far 👍

What would your channel be about?
First will be about setting up my tool boxes, then a full truck build to be a car hauler and pull my 5th wheel RV. After that will be full time RVing and travel.

Hi as a plasterer the mixing drill is a bit of a pain to store in the truck but would love to have the battery mixed drill very handy if it is not possible to plug in

I have been looking at organising my toolbox for work and wondered how well shadowfoam would work with storing pliers on the side instead of flat, space is a perineum. I work as a multiskill maintenance engineer so carrying around both mecanical and electrical tools fills up the quickly. That gimbal would be epic, doing the NC500 in june and would get some epic shots.
We have organised tools on their side in the past, don’t do it too often in the channel because it’s not as visual but it definitely can be done
Multi skill maintenance engineer myself packed a t stack full of foam and my top organiser has all my most used in, has made my days so much easier
I’d love a High Volume Low pressure paint sprayer that would be perfect for painting walls as I hate painting walls takes to long

I think i would have used one of the big,wheeled cases for the paddle mixer like the milwaukee packout box designed for chainsaw/strimer or the stanley 240l on wheels but then the box would probably be about the same price as the tool 😂😂 scrolling through the comments i saw you mention that you are looking at doing some snapon toolbox inserts and i was only thinking of this the other week, is it possible to make a shadow foam wedge so i could put it in my top box lid area I could organise all my sockets? But if I am lucky enough to win for me it would be the gimbal as I am interested in getting into creating for youtube.
What videos would you create for RUclips?
@ShadowFoam probably some automotive videos like crash damaged/mechanical repair and modification videos, and the sort of workshop tour/ toolbox tour and that sort of stuff. I have been watching a few machinist channels lately and may get into that too. First I need to find somewhere to do all this may have to build something as doing it on my drive like I do at the moment isn't fun at this time of year

That plaster mixer got me thinking….
I can tell the paddle wouldn’t fit in corner to corner but level; BUT, have you ever & is it feasible, to crisscross items in the Shadow Foam?
For example, say you have drumsticks and a snare drum. Could you cut the drumsticks in deep, and then cut the drum above?
I know the concept works, I just mean is it possible in Shadow Foam, and have you done it? 👊🏼
Concept is 100% possible and we have done builds where we have “hidden” items in foam underneath big items

Is it possible to drill into shadow foam? For example if you were trying to cut in holes for smaller diameter sockets?
I have been using my hole saw on the Shadow Foam but word of caution you need to apply a lot of pressure to avoid the saw going off and scratching the foam
Yeah I've used a hole saw for the bigger sockets, but I can get a hole saw small enough (10mm) for the smaller ones, so wondered if a drill bit would have the same effect?
Would the plaster mixer fit in a guitar case?
I did consider that! But the mixer is too tall to fit in it, but great idea nonetheless!

You could've drilled a hole and had the mixer shaft stick out the side or top of the box. Electric HVLP.
I was considering that tbh but was unreceptive to drilling a hole in my case permanently for a challenge
