@@elmundodestreaming9952 no, has dongle, but I use a small 4 port USB hub in one of my shield ports for mouse/keyboard/G20 plus anything else, other USB port is for my hard drive docking station (2 drives)

I actually purchased the W1 primarily for my PC, since it is hooked up to my living room tv. It’s way more convenient than the Bluetooth keyboard I was using prior. Just mentioning this because you said in your video you didn’t know why someone would use this for their PC.
*FOR NVIDIA SHIELD TV USERS* I'd just like to say that the back button on the W2 air mouse actually doubles as a Home/Return home button. I accidentally stumbled across this today. If you long press the back button it takes you home. This is an ideal remote for Shield TV users. I can't rate it highly enough. You may want to try this with your other android devices as it may be the same. Cheers
The W2 is the better hands down. You just need to LONG PRESS THE BACK BUTTON TO GO HOME! You get a better device with VOICE CONTROL and more functionality on the keyboard and simply needed to read the features to find out about the long press HOME option... Please update this video with at least a text overlay about this so people don't waste money on the W1 anymore.
some peopel including myself would rather get W1 without someone hearing everything we say with the voice control, I would get w2 if it did NOT have voice control, but like he said its all personal preference, some are ok with devices hearing everything
It should be noted that some people do use Air Mice on PC for head tracking or minimal movement with RSI etc. Head tracking by velcroing an air mouse to the top band of a headset or the top of a hat. It's a super budget setup you see sometimes in the flight sim community.
I don't know what it is but I received the W1 two days ago and the air mouse just doesn't work as it should. The respons or allignement is constantly off. Very anoying. Also the on/off button only works to turn my android box off, doesn't turn it on..weird.. Maybe you got a tip for me. Greetings from Netherland

I just bought the Wechat W1 remote and i'm about tor return it cause it doesn't work correctly in apps like silk browser its impossible to use and click on the address bar and type away also other apps the center button doesn't work like the original remote.

Why do most Android TV builds / launchers refuse to add home, back, restart and shutdown button commands on the gui? Would solve a lot of headaches. I know you can 3rd party apps but not all work, root issues etc.

So I use the w1 and I use it on my PC. My PC is connected to my TV as a 3rd monitor and Its easier to use than having to move my mouse/keyboard from my desk to couch when I wanna watch something. Everything works fine except my back key is another menu key lol as for the home button you don't like thats missing, The remote has a learn function, if u have both remotes couldnt you teach the home button to the w2? Provided you dont use the mic button,Just teach it to that.
I have the W1 and I had so many issues with the remote not responding and the light staying on (or flashing) so I use a Fire TV remote with my Nvidia Shield TV (I don’t like the Nvidia remote as it uses coin batteries) - unless I had a dodgy W1
Got both but use the W2, it’s a far better remote than the W1. Used button mapper to get a Home button. Never used the on/off switch or the lost remote signal.
I love the design of the W2 I just hate how they got rid of the home button. Many people won't want the hassle of adding button mapper either. I agree though, cracking remote.
I have had the w1 for a week now and I love it. I didn't know about the hold down on the center button for the scrolling feature I will try that thanks. It is easy to learn the buttons for the volume I also had to learn it for the center buttons to use without the air mouse. I agree about the home button I use spotify and if I had to back out every time that would suck lol. I would highly recommend one of these remotes thanks for the awesome review.

I have the wechip I. I absolutely love it. I used a Bluetooth keyboard with a mouse pad before. This is way better. Especially with the IR learning. I don’t have to switch remotes like I did. Definitely want that home button.
I use the W1. I think its the best I've ever had. The sound works perfect. I always turn the TV remote up too loud, then tune it lower using the W1. Letscrackon

Yeah, I bought the Ver 2 and there is no home button. I've tried to remap it and it doesn't work. IT SUCKS. I had so much hope for this but they just need to add the Home button! Time for a new remote!
The W2 does have a home button : Fn and left direction = home and it works. However it is absolutely impractical to turn the remote over to do this so I am using Button Mapper too. Another feature missing is that there is no light to indicate the remote is charging or fully charged.
I have friends that have one or the other but have gravitated to the MT08 2.4 ghz mini keyboard remote. So I bought one and I really like it. Just don't buy it from banggood. They have terrible return policy.
Hi ,I programmed all TV controls and it worked fine until I put usb into the tv .mouse and key pad ,home button all worked but I lost all TV controls ,so I took usb out everything working on TV remote again ,so it doesn't do both , it's a shame because it's a nice mini remote
So I got the W1 a few weeks back and I am not happy with it. I don't know if I have a defective one or if there's some setting I'm just not seeing that needs to be changed. But on mine the OK button in the center acts like one of the arrow buttons or occasionally as the back button, it does not actually select anything. I keep on having to use it and the Amazon Firestick remote at the same time, it's really annoying, thinking about replacing it with just a generic full sized wireless keyboard so I can type stuff in even faster.
Ain't had the time to sit down and watch something on the firestick till today. When I did I still had the same problem, and I made sure the mouse mode was not on. But then the firestick updated and when it finished and rebooted the problem was gone? I don't know what was going on but it seems to be fixed now, very weird.
I've got the W1, and it's connected to one of my PCs. Why? This is out in my "he-shed" (aka, man-cave), where I have my home office as well. The home office PC has two monitors, one of which goes through a splitter/downconverter, so I can send that second screen to both a 1080p monitor and my 55" 4K TV at the same time over HDMI. So while I have a Shield Pro and an HTPC on that TV as well, if I want to use the big PC as a media player, I can control it from the couch with this. The W1 is a bit awkward for any extended keyboarding anyway -- I have a different wireless remote for the HTPC with a bit more capable keyboard. Though not the cool air mouse feature.

Personally I use wechip G20 remote, has everything you showed except keyboard, I remapped menu button to open settings on my nVidia Shield TV 😜

Does the right-click button work properly for you? For me, it doesn't recognize the pointer on the screen so it opens an unwanted menu.

on the W2 to use the HOME key you press the RETURN key for a few seconds and it goes to home.

Just checked and it actually shows a back icon and not home. So the same as the back button on the front.

Why can't you just say "home" on the W2 version?
The W2 does have a home button : Fn and left direction = home and it works. However it is absolutely impractical to turn the remote over to do this so I am using Button Mapper too. Another feature missing is that there is no light to indicate the remote is charging or fully charged.
Found out if you put arrow in middle of your screen then long hold arrow motif on remote you will have more control over it .Tad Arr 🙂
I have friends that have one or the other but have gravitated to the MT08 2.4 ghz mini keyboard remote. So I bought one and I really like it. Just don't buy it from banggood. They have terrible return policy.
Does it work without USB dongle because i lose it

Hi ,I programmed all TV controls and it worked fine until I put usb into the tv .mouse and key pad ,home button all worked but I lost all TV controls ,so I took usb out everything working on TV remote again ,so it doesn't do both , it's a shame because it's a nice mini remote

Have you tried CTRL + C to copy and CTRL + V to paste?
So I got the W1 a few weeks back and I am not happy with it. I don't know if I have a defective one or if there's some setting I'm just not seeing that needs to be changed. But on mine the OK button in the center acts like one of the arrow buttons or occasionally as the back button, it does not actually select anything. I keep on having to use it and the Amazon Firestick remote at the same time, it's really annoying, thinking about replacing it with just a generic full sized wireless keyboard so I can type stuff in even faster.
Make sure the mouse isn't active. If the ok button starts jumping around selecting random things, click the mouse button and should work fine then.
Ain't had the time to sit down and watch something on the firestick till today. When I did I still had the same problem, and I made sure the mouse mode was not on. But then the firestick updated and when it finished and rebooted the problem was gone? I don't know what was going on but it seems to be fixed now, very weird.
Well that sucks about the missing home key.....I have 2 of the W1 remotes and they have been great with no issues.
I've got the W1, and it's connected to one of my PCs. Why? This is out in my "he-shed" (aka, man-cave), where I have my home office as well. The home office PC has two monitors, one of which goes through a splitter/downconverter, so I can send that second screen to both a 1080p monitor and my 55" 4K TV at the same time over HDMI. So while I have a Shield Pro and an HTPC on that TV as well, if I want to use the big PC as a media player, I can control it from the couch with this. The W1 is a bit awkward for any extended keyboarding anyway -- I have a different wireless remote for the HTPC with a bit more capable keyboard. Though not the cool air mouse feature.
I have w1. Adequate remote for shield and fire TV remote replacement. W2 is useless without the home button
got the w2 pro and it's a good one with a home button.
