I found the song Do Not Wait a year and a half ago and listened to it everyday in preparation to ask out my crush, who would then become my first love and share the happiest memories with. Well, fast foward, we broke up 3 months ago and I just found this song and I started sobbing immediately. I didn't realize that Do Not Wait fades into this song, and this songs message perfectly describes what I'm going through. Shivers.
Tldr: this song feels like a transition into a new chapter for me
i haven’t listened to this song in a while and when i listened to it yesterday i broken down in tears. me and my now ex internet best friend haven’t talked in like 5 months and i never got over it. she was my only friend and i loved her a lot. i miss her everyday and i think about her a lot and i always wonder why she suddenly cut me off. sometimes i cry myself to sleep thinking ab the good times we had like when we both stayed up texting each other. i don’t think i’ll ever find another bsf like her, our connection was just different. i also have 2 irl best friends but im not their best friend. im always the second choice in the group. like whenever i make a suggestion to out somewhere they always say to check on their bsf (which i understand) but they always put down my ideas to go out and have fun (this happened like 7 times now). and rn tbh idk they make me laugh but also they make me feel like shit sometimes. i dont think i’ll ever have a bsf that will also consider me as their bsf. i have developed a trust issue and honestly i don’t feel like opening up to anyone bc they’re gonna leave me at the end anyway. um ok i kinda feel better getting this off my chest. if there’s anyone reading this pls give me any kind of advice pls thank u
I have experienced something similar with one of my best friends who decided one day to just stop talking to me. I tried talking to her and she just ignored me, everyday i would look at her hoping she would look back and regret what she did or explain to me why. After months went by she finally talked to me and worked it out. And since then we have become closer than before, i guess my point is to never completely give up on them even if you think they have.
Don't worry about it the true friends are not necessarily the ones that have to be there with you (physically) but you know you can count on em when you feel good and bad,it's kinda difficult find yourself a good Friend but also it's good to be alone in a while so you can count on you and explore yourself

I really know that feel really close. I had a best friend since we were 8 i was always in love with him but decided not to tell him to ruin the friendship but just 2 months ago i finally realized he doesn't think of me the same way.I'm always the one that dms him, the one that gift him stuff, the one that always wanted to meet up but turned me down and that always cared for his mental state. But realized the relationship has been one sided for almost 11 years now and decided even tho it hurted a lot just not to keep talking to him because i was only hurting myself in the process. And i realized all of this because he said that he would visit me in christmas or new year but never came and then her best friend told me that he was were i live since november and not a single day he went to visit me... Currently feeling like shit but i will manage to go through this.

it's amazing that the begging of this song is the end of the "Do not wait" and the end is the begging of the same song but also is a perfect complement of "Treacrerous doctor". BLOW MY MIND
That ending is class. The sound of the end guitar solo has some weird high pitched melancholic sound to it, its quite euphoric and surreal. Like in an indie club at 3 am and the lights are going haywire, pissed off your head and you just hooked up with a randomer. Somehow it describes that feeling, I sound insane but it conjures up a strange memory for me.
