As a former Lyft driver, and now Uber and Lyft rider, sometimes people just need a ride to get from point A to B. Just because they have to pay for transportation doesn't mean they signed up to be Mr. or Mrs. Personality. You never know what people are going through. So as long as they've paid to book the ride and aren't being disruptive or disrespecting to the driver verbally, physically or damaging their vehicle, just give people a pass to be human and get to where they need to be.
1. Tips aren’t mandatory 2. People aren’t required to engage in conversation with you….like that shouldn’t even bother you lol there’s bigger issues going on in the world. You have the right to have an opinion, as I do but you do seem overly entitled. Fix it.
You ae not required to tip. If you are treated badly, you should not tip, and tell them what the problem is. It is probably best to check the reviews of a restaurant before you go there. When you reward bad service, you are encouraging it.
I think you should you should treat/greet all of your riders with an open mind. Riders who do not carry on a conversation with you or not making eye contact could have various reasons for doing so and that dosent make them suck. They could be leaving a bad or uncomfortable situation... Taking an Uber because their car broke down, leaving a domestic abuse situation, they could be sick, you never know. I know you say you drive for the experience and not the money, but thats MOSTLY (money) what you talk about, Tips, and the value of your truck, etc. Maybe those non-tipping riders think you already have enough money. You sound like a good guy maybe, but if I needed a ride, I would not want you to be my driver honestly. The only positive things I heard you say about riders (people) were about the ones who gave you money, all the other riders are a bump on a log, or just less than a person that you'd like having in your new vehicle. Somebody's paying for you to pick them up, so you may need a different approach to every day people. Hopefully Uber is not your only source of income because your new truck needs gas and maintenance and you may need to fund your everyday life. If Karma bites you for having such negetive outlook on people that. you dont know their financial, mental, domestic situations, you could find yourself calling Uber to get to work or wherever. Less judging and give people the benefit of doubt since you dont know them. Tampa is a great place and its people are great also.
I liked the Tampa bay area when i went there, my only other florida 1st hand experience comparison is Pensacola, i liked tampa a lot better then Pensacola.
Haven't been to Tampa since 2014. Want to go back. I've thought about riding around Brevard for Uber driving, but Melbourne, Cocoa, and Titusville don't feel safe enough for me to do it. I'd probably stick closer to the beach side or the suburbs like Palm Bay. So Instead I had thought of doing door dash but my car just went to the shop for repairs lol.
You make a good point about tropical vegetation. Sarasota and even Bradenton definitely felt a lot more tropical to me than Tampa. Same thing on the east coast when you compare Melbourne to Vero and Fort Pierce. Melbourne feels super borderline when it comes to the vegetation. Once you're north of the Beachline expressway, you typically won't see any royal palms or tropical trees or anything of that manner. As someone who's lived on the east coast all my life, I feel that the tropical vibes pick up heavily in the Vero Beach area and south of there. Makes sense too since their cities slogan is known as "Where the tropics begin".
Uber Lyft is better . Forget Uber Lyft pone GPS para los pasajeros. There are people that do driving as a side hustle I have met doctors lawyers and even Police doing undercover at the same time that earning extra side hustle.
Tampa is definitely changing we’re getting lots of new luxury condos. Also with the prosapoal of Ybor harbor and the mixed used west shore development. Not sure if these are Long-shots developments or if Tampa actually has that much demand.
I’m not from Tampa but I’ve spent a lot of time there as well as most of the us I have to say that Tampa is great to base any kind statement based on Uber drives basically a amateur taxi service employing people who cannot get real jobs that build futures giving people who usually are underachievers in their work and cannot afford their own. Cars the more successful a area the less need of services for the lower economic classes
Tampa and the surrounding area was my home for about 20 years, I built three businesses there before covid, built my first house in Riverview.... been on the good and bad side of the law there as well. Can't say a bad damn thing about it. I miss it, but just like everything else it meaning Florida is collapsing just like the rest of the United States. Waiting on a contract to close for work in the Grand Canyon tomorrow morning I guess we'll see how that goes🎉
I don’t care what people say Tampa is trash!!! It has diversity but that doesn’t pay my bills. The cost of living here is so bad and jobs suck here. Good for a vacay but not to live it’s too ratchet. I can’t wait to leave this shitty town!
@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS the 3 month's of a little chilly weather I get here keeps the cost of living low and all the zombies out. from now till Christmas time is perfect here.
The cold/hot theory needs to be thrown out the window. There is way more gun and gang violence in Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, DC, Philly, Cleveland and NYC than there is in Tampa.
Just imagine the possibilities if Florida had a competent governor, right? Tampa is the city with the most amount of potential out of any of the major cities in Florida. Why? Because it's not surrounded by water, highways or swamp. It still has much untouched land just directly to the north and east of it. It's Downtown area has not fully developed like what Miami has seen, and that just leaves me thinking Tampa's Downtown has the potential to be great because of it's waterfront location on the Bay. The Brightline train service is supposed to expand from Orlando to Tampa in the near future. Look, developers have ruined Miami's Downtown/Edgewater/Brickell communities with too much condo/loft development for wealthy people not even from the area. So Tampa has a blank canvas and they can use Miami as a perfect example of what NOT to do to a city. Anywhere you can have a relatively blank canvas and look towards other cities in the region as examples of what to do and what not to do can only help that city move in the direction they want to go towards.
So basically your saying tampa is an old city. Thats exactly what people DONT want. The people want NEW, not old. Why do you think pinellas county is stuck in growth
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS It doesn't matter if Tampa is old or new. Tallahassee is the oldest city (other than Saint Augustine) in Florida and yet it's population is growing leaps and bounds every year now. Jacksonville, another "old" established Florida city, is also growing and attracting a lot of young people from south Florida. People don't care how old or new a city is. If it has potential and it has what they are looking for it's going to grow. Proper local leadership can make or break you. And the fact is Miami is ran by very corrupt republican leadership, mostly in the city of Miami. They do not care about the quality of life of their residents unless they make 6 figures and can afford to live there now. The working class are being priced out. What are you going to do when your working class can't find a place to live anymore?

I don’t bother them 😅 but I don’t like em either. I stick to tourist areas for sure
I agree, if you don’t talk now you have a bad energy? Wow that’s quite insane to say

I dont hate Tampa, theres things I like about it but the reality is that most of Tampa is crap!!
Keep coming to Tampa bro u can make east $180 a day especially when we have games and concerts going on

Tampa like most other warm weather city's are full of crime, gangs, drug's and lost zombies..the last place in the world I would want to live.
