Not perfect?! But it is! Seriously! This is one of the best 8-Bit renditions I've ever heard! The choice of the instruments couldn't be any better; it sounds like it came straight out of the Famicom! I love how during the melody you sustained some of it making it fade out beautifully, then the melody moves on at full volume.
Oh my... This is friggin' fantastic! That intro sent chills down my spine, then the main part of the song just blew me away. I have no words, this cover is so good. Brilliant job on this.
Brilliant work. This is easily my favorite piece of Zelda music to listen to over and over again. Love that it sounds like The Imperial March from Empire Strikes Back.
I bought A Link to the Past back in the summer of 2013. It was the second classic game I ever bought, and I couldn't tell you how excited I was when it arrived in the mail. I've been playing it on and off, every so often, since then. I still haven't beaten it. XD
Have you made this?! So yhea.. You really need to go to nintendo to ask them if they can put your awsome oldskool music in to mario levels! Keep on the good work!
as always, the good stuff. That timpani set. It's always nice to see people make use of it. You said below that you made a new timpani set by sticking your standard snare into it? That's pretty cool.
Hot damn, DanO, give yourself a pat on the back for this one. you made a richness of sound here that's impressive. Did you end up using DPCM for the Tympani? it has a richer sound than the Tympani in SMB3... Then again, you did that really awesome trumpet trick for the red wings theme, so... I'm not sure. I really do need to sit down one of these days and watch that Famitracker tutorial you did again and see if I got the patience to cover something.
8BitDanooct1 Hey I am trying to remix the DOOM soundtrack and I've hit a small snag, I'd like to have a DPCM sample for a combined kick drum + snare, how do you go about layering samples like you did here? :D
the website it was hosted on appears to be down or something, but here's the cover/original entries plus the FTMs derived with nicetas' nsf decompiler (for entries that used Famitracker). also the freestyle entries aren't included because i didn't care enough to download those. dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6449659/Misc/FCP.rar

+SonicFan3642 I completely agree. This could honestly not be any better. Thank you for bringing happiness to my ears.
+Moop Bread thank you!
8BitDanooct1 I really like the cover you did on Meta Knight's Revenge too. It really brings back some memories. Keep up the good work! (☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞
@@8BitDanooct1 Don't know why, but I actually want to hear how the SNES version fared.
This legit sounds like a bowsers castle theme in mario bros

8BitDanooct1 May I express my honest amazement, because this cover is absolutely godly, no it's even beyond that...
An 8-bit version of my favorite Death Mountain theme? Sounds fantastic! Great job!
Why are you just the best thing that has ever happened to my ears? This is AMAZING!
Yo, this is dope. I've been trying to find stuff like this for a while. Good job on Dummy too

thanks! i layered the timpani and the snare sample i use for the DPCM channel, you can isolate it in the FTM or NSF to hear what i mean.

Gotta love those dootdoots and loud dootdoots. XD
Parallel Parker thank u 4 noticing the dootdoots
+8BitDanooct1 where are the Dootdoots?
Is this mixed or raw straight outta FT?
For some reason I can hear Pokemon out of this.
Sonictails54321 Me too!
I feel like it would be a Pokemon Leauge theme.
Would it be possible to cover soaring dreams(daytime) from the ORAS soundtrack?

Needs more thunders man!
NOW DO IT WITH VRC7!!!!!
You wouldn't happen to know where I could find all of the entries, would you? I missed this one.
