What’s even scarier is that the shaykh حفظه الله was born, raised & lives in Madinah & he’s exposed to all this fitnah alone. If only he saw what some of our sisters in the west sew, wear & design in the name of Niqab. Don’t even get me started on how some of them even act. They were Niqab and act like Mutabarijahs. Allahu Musta’an. May Allah guide them and guide us all Ameen

It's sad it's happening like this, I am in Mumbai and wear very simple black abayas with black niqaab. Trust me when I am in some gathering people make me feel down because of my Abaya. Also I don't wear makeup, so again it's on downside in today's so called modern society. It's strange we are moving away form our purpose.

Assalaamu alaikum, sister! I applaud you for holding firm in your obedience to Allah’s teaching of wearing modest clothing, which I believe includes niqab. He teaches us to hide our beauty for our protection and to help our brothers, too. It’s sad when sisters either fail to understand or willfully disobey in order to look good on social media.

Really? I’m from goa but I live in dubai. And actually my family is not very practicing. My mom wears abaya and hijab and I do too, she wears makeup and I don’t. But my parents don’t do much of the Islamic stuff. And our relatives and people who we know from goa they’re not at all practicing, just name sake Muslims. And I want to wear niqab next year in 12th grade. Im in 11TH right now. And obviously I will have to tell my parents and if I stray wearing then my relatives will obviously notice. So I’m scared I’ll be judged. Although I’m scared it doesn’t budge my decision to start wearing niqab inshallah.

I have never seen such niqabs as mentioned in the UK alhamdulillah. But I have seen sisters beautifying their eyes so that the visible portion of their face is the most attractive. It makes my heart weep at how people think they can fool Allah, but they are only fooling themselves. It’s no different to sisters who wear figure flattering abayas tailored or belted. I also blame the so called Islamic clothing industry for what’s termed as fashionable Islamic clothing for promoting this immodest and unislamic trends.

I agree! When I reverted 2 1/2 years ago, I had a really hard time finding an abaya that was not fitted or that didn’t have a belt! Also, hijabs (shaylas) are generally too short and/or not wide enough to provide enough coverage. (Thankfully I discovered sellers like Sunnah Style, but their clothes are expensive so you have to save up.). The prevalent *style* at least in the West is to wrap the hijab over the head and then close around the neck, which is so minimal that it does little to hide one’s beauty. May Allah continue to guide us and make it easy for us. Amin.

Regarding this, Allah and his Messenger ordained this:
      قُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا۟ مِنْ أَبْصَـٰرِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا۟ فُرُوجَهُمْ ذَٰلِكَ أَزْكَىٰ لَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ
Say thou to the believing men that they lower some of their sight, and preserve their chastity; that is purer for them. God is aware of what they do.
      (24:30)
And say thou to the believing women, that they lower some of their sight, and preserve their chastity, and that they show not their adornment save that apparent of it, and that they draw their coverings over their bosoms and not reveal their adornment save to their husbands, or their fathers, or the fathers of their husbands, or their sons, or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers, or the sons of their brothers, or the sons of their sisters, or their women, or what their right hands possess, or male attendants who have not the resourcefulness of men, or the children not yet aware of a woman’s private parts. And let them not strike their feet to make known what they hide of their adornment. And turn to God altogether, O believers, that you might be successful.
      (24:31)
      Just as a reminder.
Actually i don't know if there were more verses discussing this, probably.
But this clearly shows that there is a focus in this case on women, some people act as if this wasn't the case, may Allah subhana wa taala guide them.
But also some may burden others with rulings not prescribed by Allah and His Messenger in the Qur'an.
Both are indeed deviation, so let's all pray we are saved from those evil ways.
      Salamun alaikum

The main issue is that Muslim sister and brothers need to learn about Allah and how to obey Allah 1st. Once you understand your obligations towards Allah, covering and lowering your gaze in public and social media wont be a problem. So if we taught our community how to get closer to Allah and follow His orders, believe me the rest will fall in place. But mostly dont understand unless calamity befalls them and they have to beg to Allah.

    This is true.
Although the face covering is arguably not required (talking for the generality of believing women, it was indeed ruled for some at some point in time), the idea of not attracting s3xual attention is what is most important.
And what is then the point of covering more, when you attract more?
This is why we must use our aqal, and try not to forget why the rulings are in place, that is, not to fullfill the face of the ruling while forgetting about the why.
If you see the children of Israel when they set the fishing mechanism on the sabbath they were ordered to observe, they didn't technically work on that day, but their intentions were to cheat the system, so they were judged by their intentions, they broke the sabbath even if they tried to hide it with technicisms.
    The same here.
It's obvious that there is an emphasis on women covering more than men, we see it in surah an nur clearly...
We could argue it's due to them having more beauty naturally, thus we as men got less to cover and they got more to cover, because we all cover what is attractive in that manner to the other.
But again, also the spirit of the ruling.
Covering you all but texting in appropiate manners with people or displaying yourself in a place, with such a purpose of course... that's not the way.
Although we all got fitnah, and struggles to do, i say this because we can't only focus on this and then leave our own faults aside... as hypocrites would do.
    Salamun alaikum

The biggest fitnah of hijab and niqab: expecting women to unilaterally leave nothing for society to lower their gaze over. The other biggest fitnah: making the first gaze haram and not teaching ourselves how to use the first gaze in a halal method. None of the examples in this video refers to nakedness. The hijab/niqab was commanded to obscure the nakedness of the body, not the clothes. A woman showing her eyebrows is not a concern. Her body and hair is obscured and is not causing a fitnah in society. She is doing enough and can adorn her clothing bc it is not a reflection of her nakedness. The biggest fitnah is making the first gaze haram. If you see a woman’s eyebrows or design on her niqab and then lower the gaze, suddenly society has created fitnah? Removing a woman’s ability to have control over the gaze of her nakedness is the ultimate fitnah of the modern age that the ummah has failed to protect. Instead the ummah has formed a narrative that society must enact unilateral control over women’s appearance rather than defend and uphold the right to women’s privacy. There are more important things to be concerned with. Ppl in our ummah are being butchered and jahiliyyah is rampant. This video is a fitnah.

Deen is revelation (Quran and Hadith) though your thinking has access to it or not.

    • @wc7zr

@@ishratfatimah712 show me the proof that seeing women’s eyebrows in public is haram. If a woman personally wants to obscure her eyebrows willingly out of her own judgement of her situation, Alhamdulillah. Where does society get to dictate and assert her submission to hide her eyebrows or clothing design? The Quran asks the women to submit to Allah exclusively, the One who needs nothing from no one, to obscure the nakedness for her own benefit. This video and you are asking the women to submit to you for your own desires, not Allah.

    • @wc7zr
      @wc7zr 3 месяца назад +1

I’m going to add that better you have women that appreciate and value their person to preemptively prioritize who has access to it within their own ability then mandate women to unilaterally appear in uniform with no value over their person. The former is a society with a strong line of defense and the other is susceptible to a Trojan horse. I said this before and I’ll say it again: women are the last line of defense against the Dajjal. If you force women into uniformity, to blindly submit and worship what society mandates, instead of having ownership and control over their person as Allah designed, you are opening the door for the fitnah of Dajjal.
Eyebrows and clothing fashion are not haram for public view. Women need to value their appearance and learn how to actively exercise exclusivity over who has access to themselves, and that takes personal experience, not broad mandates.

The problem I have seen as a muslim sister who wears the normal hijab, is that most of the women I met from the masjid who wear niqab do the most gossip, and even lying, and envy. I've met multipule sisters with niqab. I wanted to befriend sisters from the mosque, but there was so much fitnah. This shows outward appearance of deen can be deceptive. It's better to get to know muslims, even if they don't look very religious.

I'm sorry sister, but I could say the same about sisters who do not wear niqāb. And what is considered 'normal' hijab? Is niqāb not normal? This video aims to advise sisters who wear niqāb but may still be decorating their appearance. It's important to remember that niqāb is part of shariah and should not be conflated with an individual's personal actions or sins. Our focus should be on supporting each other in adhering to Islamic principles while understanding that wearing niqāb is a separate matter from how a person behaves.

Having good manners is no excuse for not wearing the proper hijab/niqab and vice versa, neither is good. What we aspire to as women is a combination of good manners and good outward appearance. So, this attempt of yours to justify a person outwardly displaying their disobedience of Allah is wrong. All persons should be given the benefit of getting to know them better before passing a judgment. If you are not friends with these niqabis, how do you know all they do is gossip? If you are only friends with women who don't wear the proper hijab, you deny yourself an opportunity to meet women who have a combination of both.

Assalaamu alaikum. When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it meant the niqab itself is a fitnah! I do believe there is convincing teaching for niqab and that women should wear hijab - loose abaya, hijab that covers head and bust, no makeup, etc, as well as teaching to wear niqab. I’ve never seen the type he speaks of, which tries to draw attention to the wearer’s beauty. The whole idea is to hide one’s beauty, right? Unfortunately, where I live in the USA (or shouldI say USI 😢) I am afraid for my safety if I were to add niqab. I believe women should hide their beauty as much as they are able to in a safe manner. I’m interested in hearing the opinions of others, though. (Except for non-Muslim trolls. Don’t waste your time. I probably know more Bible and catechism than you do and have done a lot of research before converting to Islam). Thanks in advance!

the topic of hijab is actually related to psychology in various ways.
so hijab means covering yourself, right? and niqab helps with that as well. now the problem that the author of the video is talking about is "how" the hijab is used. some actually use it to hide their beauty. but most women these days use it to accentuate their beauty, like in a kind of attention seeking way. different people have different ideas. some would like to use ge niqab but in a tiny bit more revealing kind of way, some would intentionally use the niqab to highlight the attention to their eyes, then there's the use of makeup as well, then some would wear the hijab either in a loose manner to show a bit more skin or even in a tight manner to show the contours of her head. if the skin is covered, then that is a good thing Alh'amdulillah, and you will get rewarded for that. unfortunately, you are not allowed to try and look beautiful to non mahrams. whether it's in the form of looking rich or looking beautiful, whether it's a slightly transparent niqab, whether you want to show some jawline etc. etc. there are people who don't try hard with hijab, and they could have reasons like, feeling hot, or feeling annoyed, or feeling suffocated, etc. etc. but the primary action has to be to conceal beauty. there are other forms of hijab as well, like lessening the chances of people seeing by trying to stay inside more unless you absolutely need to step outside etc. etc.
the primary reason has to be to conceal beauty. if any man or woman [yes i have included men as well] conceals their beauty so that the other person or public don't get distracted by his beauty, then that person is walking the path to jannah. Allah wants us females especially to try to preserve others' psychology. Men are constantly wanting more and more women, whether they're Muslims or non Muslims, wherever they're from, their momentary greed to breed as many women as possible is ingrained in them. But that is not the problem. the real problem happens right after. as they seek out more and more women, out of habit, curiosity, greed, etc. etc. they judge more and more. appearances are always being judged by our brain. unfortunately, not everyone is beautiful so not everyone gets judged fairly. our brains conclude these results almost in nanoseconds, without us even realizing. when these judgments happen, we as humans unconsciously reject the not so beautiful ones. this happens unconsciously. men's wives are being tolerated now rather than wanted. unconsciously they are being rejected. beauty standards are rising so high. because comparisons are constsntly being made, the human body is constantly being analyzed in appearance. this is only growing. this is why the hijab rule was made. to protect people's psychologies.
if you have any intention to look beautiful to attract anyone, then you are very naive. it gives you happiness sure, and most of us haven't really grown up. now if any of your actions reflect this, like idk, shortening your niqab, tightening your hijab etc. etc. if any of your actions [important note: you do it intentionally] to make yourself prettier to other people, then the action will be classified as you not giving a second thought about why Allah made the rule, you shooed it off and didn't care about Allah wanting you to try and make the world a less judgmental place. we do sins everyday, and Allah forgives them, because our minds don't work perfectly all the time and most of the time we don't want to think critically and we want to shoo our responsibilities away.
so the niqab is only proper if you actually want to do with the mindset that Allah id telling you to do with. and hijab. the amount of effort will be rewarded with because no matter how beautiful you make, the fact that you tried to wear the hijab is in and of itself certainly doing something for Allah. It's just that if you aren't doing it properly, you might be sinning as well. Only Allah knows how much that sin is, whether you deserve a big sin or a small sin in your records. Allah understands our psychology the best because He's literally God duh, and He forgives us and helps us, but there might come a time where that sin isn't forgiven anymore. unfortunately, that is when no one can help you anymore.
so basically this is the whole story.

Niqab in itself is not fitna. However, what the Shaykh is alluding to is that some sisters have the face veil embellished which draws attention when the entire point is to deflate attention away. I guess it depends on the intention (niyyah), for instance, if it’s an occasion (like a wedding) and she’s with her husband then she can get away with it.
