We laugh at The Weather Channel naming Winter Storms, the NWS NOAA and other Meteorological agencies don’t participate in the naming of Winter Storms. It was strictly for hyperbole ratings. With that said, up here in Michigan we name Winter Storms…. Winter Storm December/ Winter Storm January/ Winter Storm February/ Winter Storm March.
