Thank you for the breakdown. How do you account for the trip to measure the doors? Have you found a way to get the home Depot replacement screen doors to not rack when you slide them? Merry Christmas
Mary in central Fl.Prices in Fla are insane right now.I have a woman owned slider door company that wants to hire me to only do only clean and Spray silicone for a new maintenance service. Total payment 50.00 no trip charge.
I don’t know where you make all your money but you’re not gonna make that kind of money in Greensboro North Carolina. No way! Only rich people are gonna pay those kind of prices and the rich people around here use their custom builders to fix what’s wrong with their homes. The average person is not gonna pay $125 for a trip fee.
You are almost certainly correct, an average income average homeowner cannot afford to pay anybody to do anything. Average homeowners require cheap handyman and more wealthy homeowners, businesses, Realtors, residential property managers, insurance companies, commercial property managers, and dozens of other types of clients are all willing to pay these rates and more. It may be that everyone would prefer for their licensed home builder to work on their house, but across most of the country those builders are booked out a year or more. The trick isn't just knowing how much to charge, it's knowing how to your clients. There are client bases for every type of business just like they're a client bases for every type of car. You have to choose what kind of car you're going to sell and then you have to find those clients.
I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge. One of the things I love about this is knowing how much I save by doing it myself.
