agree. i had a similar discussion yesterday. i did not get spoiled on anything and even avoided the trailers so i enjoyed it a bit more since i was surprised with some of the plot points
+Danny F I still don't understand how the trailer ruined it for some people. People are too sensitive to spoilers, I guess. Spoilers never ruined a movie for me. That's stupid, if you ask me. And people who don't like spoilers and think it ruins a movie for them are weak minded, in my opinion.
+George Daugherty I think its about the experience of watching the movie for the first time and the thrill of the unknown. That is why people hate spoilers.
Freddy Krueger shut up Freddy, im trying to get him drunk in my apartment! I allready have the floor covered with copies of the style section and furniture covered in sheets.
Sadly the beginning was weak. I wish they would focus on making one movie a solid film instead of a muddled film that made me feel like I wasted money.
Ok so it's ok if Batman lights people on fire or straps bombs on to people in Batman Returns and blowing up a factory in The 89 Batman (Not to mention killing The Joker), but in Batman v Superman it's a problem?
That was almost 30 years ago. No one gives a shit about it now. Besides, everyone knows that the burton batman, while good, was absolutely nothing like the comments
What if, instead of a "fucking email" scene, we got brief scenes scattered throughout the film of Bruce Wayne conducting his own investigation on the Meta-Humans? Like, he was the one compiling all this info on the other Justice League members instead of someone at Lexcorp, and we would get quick shots of Bruce in the Batcave reviewing that security footage of the Flash or Cyborg being created, or maybe he was handed a report from Alfred that had Aquaman in it. Bruce could have come into possession of that photo of Wonder Woman as well. At first, because of the Superman/Zod battle, Batman's only concern was to keep tabs on other metahumans. But by the end of the film, he'd realize it'd be better to join these metahumans together so they can fight bigger threats like Doomsday or far worse beings out there in the universe.
Are we really passing over the issue that Batman stops fighting Superman just because he said his mother's name?! And after that, they just become friends!? What happened to all the Batman's motivation to fight Superman in the first place?
That moment probably triggered Batman that it was all a set up and Superman was a human being too having a mother just how he did. Batman thought "I did what I did for the past 20+ years for justice for my parents ...and this guy is probably in the same position I am."
But what he saw in Metropolis wasn't a setup. Bruce Wayne's employees and all that people died, was because of the actions of Superman and Zod. That was the most important incentive for Batman to fight Superman. What happened to that?
+Akshay Bharwani , it was still there in my opinion but Batman probably and finally got the picture. He realized that he didn't mean to cause that mayhem. Poor writing indeed and they should have added some dialogue about the situation, makes others wonder "that's it? He stops just cause Batman realizes he has the same mothers name as Superman ?"
*John Please Read* Just a theory, but Barry Allen comes back and warns Clark, saying he was right about Superman and saying its about Lois, possibly indicating that maybe the death of Lois is something that pushes Superman over the edge..... in the vein of the Injustice storyline!! They even use imagery from Injustice with the Superman soldiers kneeling before him! How does Lex get footage of the other Justice League members?! How does he know their names and symbols?! What if Barry Allen also went back and some how linked Lex to the footage as Lex hates Superman to. There was even a toy with Lex in his Mech suit, again possibly another link to the Injustice story line.
Bruce has to form th Justice League to stop Superman once he loses his mind. In the vision of the future he even punches through Bruces chest like he does to Joker in Injustice
I like that theory, I had thought the nightmare scene was supposed to represent a possible future if batman and superman could not put aside their differences. Kind of ties back with what you said because in "nightmare" scene supes says that bats took her from him and then proceeds to drive his fist thru bats.
+Reece Stickman Snyder is going to direct it and he will have to give a whole superhero team screen time, plus the side character. He tried with 3 characters in BvS and it did not really work. +Reece Stickman Same thing they said about this one. I don't know why everyone is bending over backward to apologize for these movies. If you didn't think it quite worked that's okay. It's okay to admit it didn't quite work. That's fine. We don't have to love everything. I love DC. I love Superman. But I don't really dig this current series. That's okay. We can admit that. However, with Batman so tired of Superman he had to fight and kill him to save humanity from the alien named Superman. At the end of the epic battle, Batman actually did change his way and evidence with not killing Superman or branding Lex Luthor in his own jail.
I thought it was weird how when the tv was on in the background talking about Batman, it mentions that a human trafficking ring had been busted up and Clark didn't look up or care about that, but as soon as they start to talk about Batman branding people he got all scandalized. Oh My God, that's exactly me and my friends opinion. I completely accept and understand the flaws but I just absolutely loved it, I am willing to overlook the flaws because I've rarely walked out of the theatre that happy
Me too. I have to eat humble pie because I hated man of steel and expected this to be dreadful. However, I was immersed and didn't care about any of these nitpicks. So what if Batman kills? It raises the stakes if we know he's capable of that
+RoboTurkeyNinja even then, 1 guy pulled the pin out of a grenade and it backfired on him and he killed himself, Another guy drove directly in to a gas tanker, not all but a lot of those are not his fault
03:38 that fucking laugh holy shit hahahahaha Btw, Lex opened the birth chamber before he brought Zod's corpse into it, before he know he could activate de Doomsday protocol.
this review upsets me about the whole batman killing people superman does bring it to his attention during the car chase scene he told him thats enough "the bat is dead" batmans code is what makes him batman as soon as he started to kill his enemy the bat was dead. people need pay more attention to the little things that this movie showed and tried to teach us. this movie was amazing yeah some of the things could have been cut like the dirt rising up but you can't help but feel the movie was about hope theres hope superman there was hope for batman even a new start with the justice league I give this movie a 8 out of 10 like if you agree
I see a lot of people who don't read comics say they didn't understand some things I'll suggest they watch the animated movies justice league: War that will explain Cyborg backstory and Darkseid especially for his flying aliens from the desert dream, Justice League:The Flash point Paradox to explain The Flash appearance, The Dark Knight part 1&2 to explain why Batman seems so violent and for the ending Superman:Doomsday Extras Batman:Under the Red hood to maybe explain the Robbin Costume
I didn’t like the court scene. I wanted Superman to actually talk about have conversation. When they blew up the courtroom they blew up act 1.. Missed opportunity.
BvS might be an alright movie to watch once in cinemas, but unlike Avengers or the Dark Knight trilogy, it's not worthy enough for repeat viewings after bad word of mouth, which is why the box office for BvS will dip hugely in subsequent weeks.
They did have the scene, when alfred tells Batman, while showing the newspaper, that he is becoming cruel because he fells powerless. Just pointing it out. Cheer!
I really liked it. The optics were awesome, the soundstrack was too and the acting was nearly perfect. I like the dark DC movie style. Only the whole Doomsday story was kind of unnecassary. But Batman v Superman without the "Dawn of Justice" story was awesome.
Every Batman v Superman review. >one guy in Batman shirt >one guy in Superman shirt >throw in the words "mess" "poorly written" and "disappointing" BAM! You've got your twenty minute review.
Chris there is actually a scene where Alfred asks Bruce "new rules?" and Bruce responds callously with "we were always criminals Alfred". I actually liked that he murdered people and branded them because it gave Batman an arc. After Superman's death we see that he isn't the same Batman anymore. He regrets that he let Superman down by murdering people and he vows that he's not gonna do it again. That's why he didn't brand Luthor in the end. There are answers to these questions but some are just not mentioned properly and you have to figure it out yourself.
My theory my the nightmare sequence is 2 parallel worlds are colliding kinda like in the flash when Cisco finds out that he was dead in a different timeline.
+GT KHAOS or just drive the car off the cliff. No one cares because it was hardly explained. It will push audiences away and they won't come back for justice league when they finally explain it all. IMO this movie was a giant fail. And I love DC characters and the animated projects.
How batman forever has a higher rating on rotten tomatoes than this idk. I am not saying bvs is a phenomenal movie it is easily the most dissapointing superhero movie but... idk am i the only one who feels this way?
The sad part is that even with the number of plotholes, the irrelevancy of the main villain, the fake death of superman, people will still go, see this and "like" it. Because its flashy and the action is good.
Andrew The God Plotholes and bad writing is an objective problem of the movie. But a multi millionary budget movie with so many big problems hurts the industry.
RetroGamerBrony i will tell you some of them, I thought they were clear: - How can Lex know that Batman would prepare his "offensive" that same night he kidnapped superman's mother? - Who is wonderwoman? If you have no comic knowledge you have no idea who Diana Prince is... - Why superman worries about batman at all? There is no motive, except the branding on criminals. - Why Batman, the very smart billionare never investigate superman accusations before picturing him as an enemy? - Why would anyone call his mother with her name instead of "MOM" in a emergency situation? - How can Lex know Aliens are coming on earth in the near future? - Why would an alien artificial intelligence give another species complete control over the system? - Why superman never took the fucking Zod ship away to hide it and maybe MAYBE try to salvage his race dna? - Why would ANYONE think people dead from bullets were killed by Superman? - Why would superman use the kriptonite spear when there is a fucking weapon alien expert LITERALLY 100 meters away? - How could Lois know she had to take the spear to fight the "monster"? she does not know what the monster is, batman talks to Wonderwoman and superman telling them its kriptonian and superman knows it because he sees doomsday being born from zod's ship. Lois could not know. - Why anyone would think a hole in superman chest is enough to kill him after a FUCKING NUCLEAR BOMB exploded in his face and he survived... - Why after superman is "dead" people thank him when the last time he fought with a supervillain destroying stuff half the world complained and attacked him setting up the event for THIS movie? these are the first points that come to mind.
Lex waited for batman to send up The bat signal and then he made the call to his henchmen and said tonight is the night. So he didn't know he waited on batman and then put his plan in motion after batman hit the signal
i really like the themes this movie brought up. i just wish they explored them more. i liked the first half thematically and loved the fight scenes. needed the second half to tie it together. also the editing annoyed me, where it would jump from story line to story line at important moments to the point where you stopped caring.
Guys the Flash's warning and Batman's nightmare are setting up an Injustice movie. The Flash said "Lois is the key, Lois is the key, am I too soon?", that refers to Lois getting killed and Superman loses his shit. So it wasn't a dream, if you look carefully you can see some papers flying around when Batman wakes up. In the dream Superman kills the guys with he's heatvision and sais to Batman something like she was my world, and then also kills Batman. The flying creatures are Darkseid's army and all that... So yeah, Injustice..
Well Superman's main angst against Batman early on the movie, was because of the bat's methods of taking down criminals. Also as reported the brand was also getting criminals killed in prison, however that is an issue Clark should not have had. Seeing as he is naïve to prison justice in child predators or killers will be murdered in prison brand or not.Later on in the movie what made the rivalry between Wayne and Kent to grow was because of Lex Luthor. He was playing them both and working them against each other with letters in messages to get the two on edge and push towards this fight. Which is the biggest plot hole around, in how he worked this all out.
Hey guys. The reason General Zod ship was able to reanimate Zod was because in MOS General Zod ship was able to grow or birth life again. That's why he wanted the tisserct(however u spell it). Remember what he said to Superman in MOS. "if u destroy this ship, you destroy krypton." The ship had the tech to bring life back to kryptonians.
Serious question, when the fight between batman and superman started, superman called batman "Bruce". When did he learn that?? Did I miss something in the movie, or was that another part that got cut out??
As a non DC/Marvel fanboy, it's kinda fun to watch all these spoiler videos before seeing it. love getting all the reactions, already watched stuckmann's non spoiler review, was waiting for this one, glad you guys are shooting it together! I am seeing it next week, I know I will enjoy it more, or at least be more informed, with these videos
12:55 you say Lex didnt know Batmans plan, but thats wrong, when batman stoled kryptonite from lex he left his bat symbol where kryptonite was and Lex knew what he need it for. So he planned to push superman to fight batman
This Lex Luthor..I guarantee you..will be hardened by this experience..the next time we see him I bet he will have his arms behind him like Morpheus in the Matrix and be the calm genius with a psychotic part to him that we all love..because this was a huge failure that he will learn from and make him better...
My pitch for the cameos would be.... -Newspaper headlines of weird occurrences of criminals being stopped in the middle of the crime by a Flash of red and yellow light. -Schematics of half man half machine project. -And a video of all the fish from a beach all heading to one location in the middle of the ocean.
Would you have been more on board with things if Zod's body was still recovered but was saved for a later film? In his place, how about the ship having hosted Brainiac? I think they'd make a better film with less premature Doomsday.
You guys need to see it again.. Almost all your gripes were answered. Lex could not take the body into the ship the first time bcos there was no need for him to do so. Once he gained control of the ship and learnt about Kryptonian history and how to create the doomsday monster (Host body + DNA + Kryptonian tech), he brought in Zod's body. Imagine carrying general zod's body around town/heavy security just to use his hand to open a door. Common guys! You can easily put that together. Plus I was fine with the usb stick (that was more like an easter egg than plot point). I took parts of the movie that didnot flow as world building for future movies. If that scene was an after credit scene, no one will complain (DC tried to do it different and I applaud them for giving the fans a different flavor). If you go to see the movie the second time to enjoy it for what it is, while putting things together, you will have a great time. I increased my score to an 8/10 from 7 after 2nd viewing. I know it wont get higher than that but its a fun movie that has heart and sorrow. I'll definitely see it 2 more times while i wait for Cap's battle.
+Yasin Erdal 8,5/10 I really liked it. The optics were awesome, the soundstrack was too and the acting was nearly perfect. I like the dark DC movie style.

you know, they actually had that scene. He explained it to alfred, you saw robins suit, and alfred tells him he ha changed.
Despite the flaws, I honestly love love love this movie.
Me too this movie was amazing
Oh My God, that's exactly me and my friends opinion. I completely accept and understand the flaws but I just absolutely loved it, I am willing to overlook the flaws because I've rarely walked out of the theatre that happy
same buddy
03:38 that fucking laugh holy shit hahahahaha
Btw, Lex opened the birth chamber before he brought Zod's corpse into it, before he know he could activate de Doomsday protocol.
i had the same thought as john but i just assumed that lex knew batman was planning something since he stole his kryptonite
I thought the same.
this review upsets me about the whole batman killing people superman does bring it to his attention during the car chase scene he told him thats enough "the bat is dead" batmans code is what makes him batman as soon as he started to kill his enemy the bat was dead. people need pay more attention to the little things that this movie showed and tried to teach us. this movie was amazing yeah some of the things could have been cut like the dirt rising up but you can't help but feel the movie was about hope theres hope superman there was hope for batman even a new start with the justice league I give this movie a 8 out of 10 like if you agree
Chris has the scariest laugh ive ever heard lmao. great vid guys
I see a lot of people who don't read comics say they didn't understand some things I'll suggest they watch the animated movies justice league: War that will explain Cyborg backstory and Darkseid especially for his flying aliens from the desert dream, Justice League:The Flash point Paradox to explain The Flash appearance, The Dark Knight part 1&2 to explain why Batman seems so violent and for the ending Superman:Doomsday
Extras Batman:Under the Red hood to maybe explain the Robbin Costume
Chris' laugh after that Lex Luther alcohol joke was amazing XD
Justice League: God's Not Dead 3
I didn’t like the court scene. I wanted Superman to actually talk about have conversation. When they blew up the courtroom they blew up act 1.. Missed opportunity.
I absolutely loved it. I agree with the flaws, but I was able to look past them.
This channel is criminally underrated....it deserves at least twice as many subs
Every Batman v Superman review.
>one guy in Batman shirt
>one guy in Superman shirt
>throw in the words "mess" "poorly written" and "disappointing"
BAM!
Sometimes I like to rewatch this video
"I'll drink to that" *sips girls drink for 25 minutes :D
This review is fckin hilarious. LMAO Well done guys.
Chris' Laugh is everything, lol so funny! 3:43 came out of no where...can't help but laugh and like the guy! :-)
Loving these collabs with Chris!
My theory my the nightmare sequence is 2 parallel worlds are colliding kinda like in the flash when Cisco finds out that he was dead in a different timeline.
No
+Abhinav Chandra The they should have explained it in the movie. Lazy script writing is lazy.
+MikeTran not really bruh . . all our answers are going to be answered in justice league . . its better to leave us at a cliff hanger
+GT KHAOS or just drive the car off the cliff. No one cares because it was hardly explained. It will push audiences away and they won't come back for justice league when they finally explain it all. IMO this movie was a giant fail. And I love DC characters and the animated projects.
Once dhere шas a civilization, mučh like ours, бut шidh a greater intelligence, greater poШers, and a greater capacity for ritual genital mutilation⸮
OR...... people just don't have the same opinion as you
Andrew The God Plotholes and bad writing is an objective problem of the movie. But a multi millionary budget movie with so many big problems hurts the industry.
RetroGamerBrony
i will tell you some of them, I thought they were clear:
- How can Lex know that Batman would prepare his "offensive" that same night he kidnapped superman's mother?
Marvel: "On your left..."
There were lots of things I really liked in the movie but there were also a lot of things I hated I would give it a C- and 4/10
Great review guys
2:06 that's what she said
Fun review, you guys work well together. Should do more of these!
10:36
It's funny that Chris says this, since Zack Snyder's exact reasoning was that Batman never directly kills someone.
The movie was poorly edited, but still good. Probably will be appreciated more over multiple viewings, kinda like Man of Steel.
Lex waited for batman to send up
The bat signal and then he made the call to his henchmen and said tonight is the night.
I agree with Stuckmann about Lois in the movie. I like Amy Adams but she isn't tough enough for Lois.
Good chemistry between this two amazing reviewers! Keep it up!
I felt like Clark Kents conversations with perry white explained his issue with Batman
Press 4 repeatedly and watch Chris's reaction..
Chris should be the next Joker
Well Superman's main angst against Batman early on the movie, was because of the bat's methods of taking down criminals. Also as reported the brand was also getting criminals killed in prison, however that is an issue Clark should not have had. Seeing as he is naïve to prison justice in child predators or killers will be murdered in prison brand or not.Later on in the movie what made the rivalry between Wayne and Kent to grow was because of Lex Luthor. He was playing them both and working them against each other with letters in messages to get the two on edge and push towards this fight. Which is the biggest plot hole around, in how he worked this all out.
I hate crazy Lex. Michael Rosenbaum has been the best Lex. Cool and calculating is the best way to play Lex.
guys do a review of the extended cut already! I am so curious to hear your thoughts!
Chris laughs like the Joker. Lol
Can you guys do more reviews together it's so entertaining
Serious question, when the fight between batman and superman started, superman called batman "Bruce". When did he learn that?? Did I miss something in the movie, or was that another part that got cut out??
I'm new to the channel so idk names but the guy with the superman t shirt should be the next joker, his laugh is on point lol
More like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Suckness.
Flashpoint paradox? Shut up Chris, it's Crisis, man. Crisis.
the animated movie is called flashpoint paradox
Would you have been more on board with things if Zod's body was still recovered but was saved for a later film? In his place, how about the ship having hosted Brainiac? I think they'd make a better film with less premature Doomsday.
I loved this movie.
Rate the movie! For me it was 6/10
6.5
+Yasin Erdal 8,5/10 I really liked it. The optics were awesome, the soundstrack was too and the acting was nearly perfect. I like the dark DC movie style.
+Edward Nigma I didn't love it or hate it. It was just Ok i mean i just like it that's it, but Batman was awesome tho.
6.8
8 of 10
Despite some pacing issues, this movie was AWESOME!!!
the email scene was actually quite intense, it may seem sloppy writing to you guys, but I and my friend actually scream when we saw that scene, and also the great soundtrack.
Oh, nearly forgot....
"Martha"
Age of Ultron was better than Batman V Superman
+Tomas Favetto (Marvel Fanboy)
DirilisBurakTV lol
Hell no.
Uh... no.
+Leo Anchieta according to the majority of the audiences and critics... yeah, it was.
