this is an amazing video, great work, looked like fun and i loved the drone shots. If there was a video id recommend to showcase the wildtrak and/or raptor this is no.1 on the list
Can't believe my rude head actually made it into the video 😂 Thanks guys! Was good to see you and the rigs in person. Hopefully see you again on some future trips.
I can't believe I just watched 65 min of content. Awesome video, mates. I have Google Maps open in another window just to follow your track. I wish your production team included a map overlay on all the sites you visited. I wish there was more commentary on the 4WD setting when traversing the different challenges. I wish I have a Ford Ranger Raptor :( And that EDX v2 camper, too.
Awesome video, your tube just confirmed my next purchase " a Raptor v6 " ....beautiful beaches , must try out our Namibian beaches, with Dunes connection the ocean ...🍺🍺🍺🍺
great video guy's !!! I bet you are glad you have got STEVE & STIRL as part of your crew , "or not"😂 , NO really could not ask for two better blokes to take with you on a trip !!
Absolutely, I’m digging my heels in as “they” will attempt to remove any trace of our early history, and this doesn’t refer to our good indigenous people, I like the mix of both, but those governments placing a lot of land into indigenous land tittles, that won’t serve indigenous communities one iota.. it’s all about resources and large Corporations.. no taxes being paid to Australians from foreign companies, and Gosh knows how they spend the Royalties today, certainly not on major infrastructure of new hospitals, roads or dams.. including more social housing requirements, as we have Aussies living in tents due to foreigners buying homes, immigration levels too high creates rental crisis..
How did you go with the Raptor towing the trailer? I know the Next Gen Raptor has a limit at 2.5 tonnes so curious to know how it handled the camper trailer (ATM at 2.25 tonnes?).
Enjoyed the video what is the wattage of the 3 solar panels on the roof top tent? would like to see a video of the canopy set up. hoping to take delivery of our LXD 4.7 soon
Thanks for your comment. The Canopy is equipped with 3 x 100 watt solar panels. There will be a video of the Ranger coming out soon. Thanks for buying a Mountain Trail RV and we hope you enjoy it...
Man imagine the actual Ford F150 Raptor going over there. Including the Raptor R and Raptor 6x6. it would be crazy sight seeing those going through there
Thanks for the vid. Was keen to see the EDX in action as it's on our short list of campers. Might take the drive up to Albury Wodonga and check it out.
Lovely video. How's the comfort of the wildtrak front seats over the long trip when compared to PX3 you previously had? I had a px3 and sat in a wildtrak a few days back and the new wildtrak seats seem harder. Maybe they soften up after time?
Thanks. I thought the seats were really comfortable. Heidi and I never discussed them which means they were good. Steve drove the Raptor from Albury to Queensland and he said the seats in the Raptor were noticeably firm. Thanks for watching!!
@@MountainTrailRV thank you so much for the feedback. I currently own a Gen 1 Raptor and will be upgrading. I have a Raptor on order that's due to arrive in March. Since you've driven both, which would you say is the most comfortable between the v6 Raptor and v6 wildtrak on road? And which is the better daily and long distance holiday vehicle? I love the sound of the Raptor, however yes, it's got a drinking problem and the sheer size of it is a little bit of a put off and makes it a little less versatile.
Has there been any issues relating to one of the fuel lines coming off. Some reports indicate this an issue with the 2BiT. Also, thoughts on how the 2L at high revs (lot more piston movement) over years this will impact the vehicle compared to the 3.2?
These are next gen. No 3.2 available anymore. I have had the 3.2 and the 2L. 2L is far superior. But like the 3.2’s, turbos have been known to be a weak point. Nothing but good reports about the new v6 though. 👍
The Camper being towed by the raptor is a Mountain Trail EDX V2. It weighed 1850kg fully loaded with food, camping equipment and water on this trip. the fuel economy was around 37 liters per 100 on the sand.

Was great to see you Josh! Hope you enjoyed the rest of your visit on the island!
Hey guys, could you tell us the fuel-burn for each of the rangers on Fraser please?
Interested to know how the petrol went against the diesel.

The Raptor is super cool. Heidi commandeered it as a daily driver. She does that!!
25 years since I went to Fraser. Beautiful spot. Great van. Hope the Melbourne show goes well.
great video... but bags not buy these vehicles second hand...
I was thinking exactly the same thing.
They had a thorough clean and underbody wash. No rust appearing at this stage!
They'll be fine. Took my Suzuki there about 15 years ago, to this day, not a single spot of rust. Good clean after and it'll be fine.
Love your work. Any chance of a rust prevention video in the future for prepping before you start?
Lol, I don't think they care about rust
Great vid! Very professional. Your caravan and campers look like good quality. I’ll definitely keep yours in mind when I’m looking for one.

Steve and Stirl certainly added to the trip. It was a lot of fun with them onboard.. They will be back for future episodes!!
I have watched this video 5 times now. I want this life once I retire.
I love this craftsmanship. This caravan should definitely be in Turkiye ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching...
When did the wild track get a twin turbo diesel.??? He says at 50 sec that it’s a 3ltr v6 twin turbo.?..
Always Fraser to me!

Great video touching base on the rangers capabilities towing off road. would love to see a tow comparison on the next gen V6 diesel vs bi turbo.
Great suggestion!

"Great campers! I'd love to get one for my Ranger Wildtrak. Is there a distributor in the Philippines where I can (wish) purchase one?"
thanks for the question but we are only supplying the Australian market currently
Ahhh the salt water crossing hard to watch😵
How heavy was the raptors trailer? And how was the fuel economy?
