I was always curious of how the dialogue would change if you opted out on Leif’s quest… But I never tried it because I just couldn’t bring myself to skip upper snakemouth. It’s a huge turning point for Leif and brings the team closer together. *Spoilers* I was also fascinated by the roaches’ secret experiments (along with discovering that hidden room with the “goddesses” on those screens). In my opinion, it doesn’t feel right to skip out on Leif’s quest before starting chapter 7… but it’s nice to know what Leif says if you decide not to do it.
When i saw this scene, I did kinda hope there’d be more tension or maybe even an alternate ending for the roaches where they aren’t happy with the saplings destruction at all Sadly that’s not so but it’s still neat the detail is accounted for
I didn't know that Leif had a different speech depending on weather or not you completed his sidequest because when I played I did the main story first, then did all the sidequests after.
If you did Leif's quest, he will mention the laboratory and the roaches' evil experiments on their quest to mimic the sapling's power, and all the suffering that brought to the land
I don't think it's exactly "rare" either, but I uploaded it for the sake of it because there have been many people who requested who wondered what the dialogue is if you don't do it.
it's a side quest, but who in the world doesn't do the quest from their literal pary members, knowing full well something about them isn't right and are wondering what happened to them. Honestly i feel like it being a sidequest is just a formality, i've never seen anyone skip it in their first playtrough
@@bluerious5475 For what it's worth, Leif's quest first takes you to the Ant Kingdom's residential district, then after that it hints you to Snakemouth Den. Plus, the door that opened after the trapdoor on the first level of Snakemouth Den was a hint that there's something you wouldn't get to explore the first time around.
Leif was always my favorite character but this scene made me like him even more. Also the game itself is spot on with it's storytelling!
It’s such a fluid and subtle difference I love it

Yeah, it definitely makes Leif's argument feel a little more flimsy, but it's a very very interesting difference!
I did skip his quest before going because the game kinda started giving me a sense of urgency at this point, so dont blame me
lol I assumed the difference would be that Leif just doesn't do his speech and he lets Vi beat him up

This is what I got
Me too I haven't seen the other version
What's the difference?

Wow
I don't know the difference between if you have done it because 3 out of the 4 playthroughs I did I did Leifs request post game lol
Honestly I really don’t think this dialogue is that rare considering that Leif’s request is side mission content

@@janthejetplane5668 ... i skipped it during the first playthrough lmao, I never knew to go back to Snakemouth
