im sorry but nobody is pointing out the obvious? this wasnt found. it was clearly taken apart, dirtied up and then cleaned back up and put together.
the dirt splashes are a clear indicator that happened, due to the placement of the mud splashes. its like someone took a dirty brush and just slapped it on the front of the screen.
he did it before, but he is not getting any better in faking !!

12.58 there is black mark on screen. . Final 21.52 . not even 1 scratch on screen. I also love the way you clean all electronic devices with tap water. Great channel about how not to
U do realize as long as no energy is stored in caps and no power going threw it u can clean any electronics with tap water as long as it's completely dry before a re power on

Hard water will absolutely ruin electronics the minerals in the water conduct electricity. Salt water is the worst. Did you spill the water while it was running or connected to a power source. ...
The battery/batteries is one of the more sesitive areas. My guess is that you had it running power from the battery when the spill happened.

My compa qv50 i start after many years . And monitor turn off in 10 second sometimes 5sec. I open it i listen spark sounds from secreen connector which is look like Rubber ,, but i dont know how to fix it

Not necessarily that cassing damage could have been sun damaged before cracking like that. There was no evidence of the monitor beeing hit or smashed. The cassing damage would have been different.

The monitor seems legit, but it's probably like a lot of other videos like this where the device is staged in a state of disrepair. Still interesting to watch, but very risky. If that cathode ray tube had fallen off the bike, the likelihood of it exploding and showering them in shrapnel is high. With the vacuum present in the tube, the face of the tube which looks to be about 19" has almost a ton and a half of force from the atmosphere trying to push into the tube where the vaccum is present. If the glass envelope is compromised then the CRT can implode and then explode.
Likewise, if the implosion band around the face of the CRT is removed (which keeps the face in compression), the tube can also explode.

@Skeleton Masher I also don't believe in this renovation. I have 25 years of experience in repairing home and industrial electronics. I know what a flooded electrical switchboard looks like and I know what a radio found in a damp basement looks like. Electronic components should be tested if damaged, corroded or exposed to water or fire. He replaced capacitors because it looked bad? Didn't measure? For this there is a messuring bridge to measure the resistance, inductance, capacity nad ESR. He not measured semiconductors? Realy? I do not turn on an unknown device without check everything and overcurrent protection. In my opinion, he replaced the PCB. But, you can disagree with me.

Depends on the type of abuse it went through he was lucky in needing to replace only a few capacitors. If the chips were the problem then it might get cost prohibitive, also desoldering mircochips without frying them is much more time consuming because you need to have the chip cool down between desoldering the pins especially if it's heat sensitive.
Estos monitores son muy buenoa duran decadas , lo lastima es que ya no se les consiguen los flybacks y otros repuestos originales y toca adaptar

Witam i pozdrawiam!!Udana renowacja i naprawa monitora od komputera,duża wiedza i dokładność pozwoliła uzyskać dobry efekt,jednak nie wolno myć wodą wszelkich płytek??myjemy wodą dedykowaną,Izopropanolem lub środkiem do mycia PCB,poza tym powinno wykonać się dokładne pomiary po włączeniu!! Także klient pokrywę żywica epoksydowe ,będzie trwalsze!!!tak trzymać..
Można myć wodą (z mydłem). Robię tak od lat. Ważne jest tylko dobre wysuszenie. Wyjątki mycia wodą: kondensatory papierowe, cewki WN, transformatory (zwłaszcza toroidy). Nie za bardzo wierzę w renowację przedstawioną na filmie, bo jestem elektronikiem i wiem jak takie urządzenia działają i ile czasu czasem trzeba poświecić na szukanie jednego wadliwego elementu, który wywołuje reakcję lawinową uszkodzeń. Wymiana elektrolitów na chybił trafił, bo źle wyglądają bez pomiarów mostkiem RLC? A co z tranzystorami? Wszak w CRT jest bardzo wysokie napięcie. W 9:50 widać blok WN. Ale niech mu będzie...

It's not faked he knows what parts need replacing. He replaced the capacitors and even showed the volt/ohm meter test results. Just because he dosen't show all the steps dosen't mean it's a fake. He time lasped what would take days or weeks.
