One Major problem is the Right Wing owns all the Radio stations (except NPR) and the “Christian” stations have preachers/ pastors that have Sold Out to the Propaganda,Mark Lavin’s & Fox’s talking points / Echo Chamber!!
I have heard one of my favorite pastors, here in Hawaii, actually say “ if you don’t vote for trump, I question your Christianity” it’s Ironic because he used to have a church on the poor side of town & talk about the big churches & the people & some superficial and now he has the big church and is on the Radio, a Total Sell Out! So sad. But that is a Vast amount of Voters!! All on the words “Abortion” but how many have known women that have had Miscarriages?? Trump is the biggest lier in the history of man!

Problem is both sides do it. I'm a Republican, who will say it is kinda stupid to put the Constitution in a bible, but whats even stupider is the church leaders that promote trans and homosexuality like its a thing to celebrate. Now I can understand when certain people think this way, but that coming into the churches is just wrong. I mean it isn't in any of the churches anywhere near me because I live in a pretty conservative area, but it was in like half of them in places like Maine. I'm okay with saying that conservative politics shouldn't be spread through Christianity, even though a lot of it is similar. But if you don't want politics to be mixed with religion, then keep your progressive politics out of it too.

Good for you! The living word is when God talks to your mind. Are you ready for that? Some 7 or so years ago I sat on my couch crying to God about all this (Trump) evil and wondering if good would survive, and God answered me in my mind. He said yes, not to worry, a few other bits...then he said not to worry, that evil cannot prevail "it is built into the nature of matter itself, it's a rule of physics you don't yet perceive. It can't happen. Not possible. I don't even have to pay attention. It can't happen. It's not made that way". The churches insert themselves between you and the living God and then they train you to listen to them, as if their words are God's. Obviously, that's not true, which is why so many Christians abandoned their moral values to vote for this antichrist whore. Why do they not see this?

Our politics needs to be better, it needs to solve our problems. Ultimately, it is our expression of love for each other. I find his yelling arrogant and demeaning. I would never allow someone to talk to me like that. And I don’t think it’s effective. What kind of person lets someone scream at them and says yes, sir I’ll do what you told me. No man on earth has that authority over me. People who have taught me did so because they were better than me or smarter on a particular thing, not because they yelled at me. Politics is not dirty. Yankee Doodle stuck a feather in his cap and called it macaroni? The song was not meant to be a compliment but rather a joke. A “Yankee Doodle” was a simpleton who thought that just putting a feather in his hat would make him macaroni or fashionable when, in reality, he was just a country bumpkin.

The Founding Fathers deemed *ALL* religions unfit for modern, civil governance.
The *1st Amendment's Establishment Clause* prohibits the government from making any law, _“respecting an establishment of religion.”_
This clause not only forbids the government from establishing an official religion, but also prohibits government actions that unduly favor one religion over another. It also prohibits the government from unduly preferring religion over non-religion.
*Constitution Article VI Supreme Law - Clause 3 Oaths of Office*
_"The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; _*_but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."_*
This means nobody is ever required to swear to a god or on the Bible, or any other religious book for an oath of office. They may choose a god or religious book, but none is required.
Thomas Jefferson and Calvin Coolidge did not use a Bible in their oath-taking ceremonies. Theodore Roosevelt did not use the Bible when taking the oath in 1901, nor did John Quincy Adams, who swore on a book of law, with the intention that he was swearing on the constitution.
_"In this enlightened age and in this land of equal liberty, _*_it is our boast,_*_ that a man's religious tenets will not forfeit the protection of the laws, nor deprive him of the right of attaining and holding the highest offices that are known in the United States."_
*-George Washington* (To the Members of the New Jerusalem Church of Baltimore, 27 January 1793)
_“The United States is not a Christian nation any more than it is a Jewish or Mohammedan Nation.”_
*- John Adams* (American statesman, attorney, diplomat, writer, Founding Father & 2nd president)
_“...the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion."_
*-Treaty of Tripoli - June 7, 1797. Signed by President John Adams & Ratified UNANIMOUSLY, by the Senate June 10, 1797*
....only a few times in history the Senate unanimously agreed on anything.
A 2018 Supreme Court Ruling re-affirmed this statement, from The Treaty of Tripoli.
The Supreme Court released an opinion on May 14, 2018 in Murphy v. National Collegiate Athletic Assn., 584 U. S. (2018), Justice Thomas in his concurring opinion wrote:
_"The Treaty of Tripoli was passed by the Senate and signed into law by President John Adams. As such, it is a "legislated text" which must be read "textually". The lower courts in this case read a hypothetical legislative intention into the text by dismissing Article 11 as "a mere formality". _*_The language itself makes a clear direct statement that our government is not based on the Christian religion and any attempt by a government official to represent our government as Christian contradicts the text and the historical understanding of our founders."_*
_"Who does not see that the same authority which can establish Christianity, in exclusion of all other Religions, may establish with the same ease any particular sect of Christians, in exclusion of all other Sects?"_
*- James Madison 4th president* (A Memorial And Remonstrance, On The Religious Rights Of Man: Written In 1784-85)

A practicing Christian should pray for those in authority. "Jesus" calls on Christians to show care for those they don't agree with, those they don't like, those who cause them problems. "Jesus" says a person who doesn't is no better than a self-aggrandizing, attention-seeking hypocrite like Trump. "Jesus" did not, however, teach his followers to idolize blowhards like Trump.
Good on you for leaving; "Jesus" is a blowhard too, a proud, selfish, self-serving deity masquerading as a humble, loving, and caring, if you accept the common "Jesus is God in the flesh" teaching. And if Jesus wasn't God, then why TF should anybody care about his teachings or death? And nothing can change that the God depicted in what we call the Bible nowadays is a monster.

The pastor said everything right! Bible is not for sale of political agenda. Christianity is not for politics. The Lord tells us to love, pray and bless people, not hate, not attack. And it is not about "him".. who clearly thought that he could brainwash all the evangelical christians to his side.

    • @cpamfly6858
      @cpamfly6858 11 дней назад

I think that Politics is the apex of Christianity, or at least it should be. After personal salvation, of course. Politics is how we as a people decide to take care of each other. If it is right for an individual to love his neighbor, then it is right for America to embrace godly values. I think where the church went wrong - and the screaming pastor- was its failure to tell its followers that Donald Trump is likely the antichrist. He is certainly against everything Jesus Christ ever taught. And to focus on saying that politics should be left out the church is wrong overlooks the real problem. Christians failed to distinguish between right and wrong. Then they go along with all of the lies that Trump has been saying. All for the purpose of gaining political power. No one wants their evangelism anymore. No one wants to be part of such a hateful group of people. And I would ever never let someone scream at me like that pastor does. Liberals appeal to people based on facts and good arguments. Not by belittling and yelling at them.

As a Christian - and one not into this style of church or preaching or likely a good bit of his theology - I LOVE everything he’s saying here! And that he is kicking ass and taking no prisoners, confronting the audience with the truth of the corrosive effect of combining political idolatry and Christian faith. In these days, this is a ballsy move and he knows he can lose a LOT of support, and money, from this bold statement. (Many preachers know that their jobs are on the line and stay quiet about their very similar concerns.) Good for him!
