Dude the amp is wired up wrong. I know this was ten years ago but in case anyone else is watching this now and doesn’t know. At 9:03 you show the wires for the speaker. You haven’t bridged it, so you’re only getting half the power of the amp. You should take negative from left channel, and positive of right channel or vice versa. This will give you a fuller sound. Thanks for the video, saved me loads of research on how to get the feed for the external amp. Ta 👍
Great video bro, very informative.. I want to do the same with my F82. Any ideas of the frequency range you’re getting from the Pioneer sub? As I understand it, the HK system doesn’t push much low frequency so I’m just wondering if the Sub is capped to something like the 80/60 Hz?
What if i can access the amp, can u get sound from the underseat subwoofers? Ive just had a kicker L7 installed and this is the method the guy used. Its just that something dont sound right. I have no bass at all on the lows and the highs r really loud, any ideas?
Had the same issue! Don’t wire it to your underseat subwoofers. Try wire it straight out of the wires coming from the amp. It’s usually the thickest wires that power the stock subs coming out of the amp
@@Tec_Wizzz ah great, i was thinkin maybe it cz of the old amp. Bcz ive put the bass all the way down on my system, u literally hear no lows but the high come through on the sub.
@@adzsyed2051 the problem is that the Harman Kardon amp changes on Frequencys with changing volume! That’s why there is no way to make a harman Kardon sound good with a sub! Sucks!
As long as you have the speaker inputs, you can get a LOC that has a built in remote wire or buy an amp that turns on from speaker input alone smfh. Shit ain't hard.
@@lockheedloadyeah it is when ur lc2i doesn’t pick up enough signal from your tapped speakers and doesn’t turn on so you need to run a remote accessory wire dickhead
Hi bro thanks just what I needed Does using line out lose any quality off sound than using rca leads from head unit Jusy Got my brand new bmw f44 gran coupe this week and need to put in amp an sub In

What did you use for the remote wire ?
Came to comment this
Few people have commented but don't seem to have an answer... but where did you find the remote wire in order to attach to aftermarket amp?
Remote wire(blue wire) usually comes with your amp kit
