hi I’m 200lbs and been on a starboard drive for the longest time but need to shake things up now, what size would you recommend?

Hi Mark, Either the 8'2" or 8'8" would suit you. The 8'2" would give the most performance if you're comfortable dropping down to 121l. The 8'8" will certainly give more surfing performance than the Drive and will be less technical to paddle out than the 8'2"

Do you think the 9’3 would be ok for a guy 95 kilos? I currently surfing the 9’4 whopper which I bought because I found my 9’5 wide point too tippy?

      Hi Ken,
Sorry for the late reply. The 9'3" should be fine for you and will offer much more surfing performance than your current Whopper and also the Wide Point.
Well worth trying one if you can, we have a 9'3" on demo currently with The Sup Store in Christchurch.

Great board, definitely easier than the pro model

Agreed, and still offers heaps more surf performance than the Wedge!

Would you recommend the 8’8 or 8’2 Spice for 80kg intermediate rider? I now ride a 9’5x32 153L Wide Point, looking for a more advanced board.

      @@carloscala412 I have a similar question - I'm 66Kg. Intermediate rider now on a 125Ltr. F one wondering if the 7'11 X 29" would suit me.

Hi Carlos, apologies for the delay in getting back to you. You could ride either! it depends whether you're looking to take a big step down in volume for the extra performance the 8'2" 121l will offer. You're well within Starboard's recommended rider weight for the 8'2" however it will be a more technical board to paddle. The 8'8" will offer more performance than your current Wide Point due to it's more refined shape, thinner rails etc and will also be very stable and more forgiving than the 8'2". I hope this helps!

Hi Michael. Again, apologies for the late reply. The 7'11" would be an ideal step down from your current board. The 7'11" is available to demo via some of our UK retailers depending where you're based in the UK. Might be worth seeing if you can try one beforehand if you've not paddled anything with similar volume before.
