- Ringo, Barbara Bach and John Matuszac sit down with John Davidson to promote their new movie Caveman in 1980. It's pretty apparent none of them are feeling any pain. John Davidson has a hell of time trying to conduct the interview. The intros and outros that John Davidson does were not normally part of the program. It appears they had to edit the interview to make it approprite for air. Karen Grassle (Caroline on Little House on the Prairie) and Andy Gibb were also guests that day and hung around for Ringo. There are Lennon selfies from Shea but, as someone already pointed out, people have taken photos of themselves since cameras were first generally available.

He said "that not an hour of one day went by without a drink" and that wasn't beer. Glad he got help and is now clean and sober. His wife Maureen painted a picture of him which is actually quite interesting and probably accurate. A fully grown man acting like a small child and hanging out with other adult children.

This is a classic example of how NOT to host a show. Obviously, Davidson was not prepared for Ringo in that condition. But instead of simply accepting it, rolling with it and maybe even having fun with it, he stiffens up, gets defensive and the whole thing just gets worse and worse, and worse.
I'm a Beatles fan and Ringo was so disrepectful here. I love me some alcohol at parties too but people shouldn't have to "put up" with your drunk self, specially when they're so confrontative about it

🥰 Yep, he was probably at home, beating his wife and kids while this was airing! Wait, no, this was an evening show, so John Lennon was probably finished with that "workout", and by now he'd be in the studio, ironically singing songs praising "peace"(or communism).
Yep, he was living like a king, in lavish, up-town penthouses, being chauffeured around in the nicest cars, wearing the nicest clothes, eating at the nicest 5-star restaurants, while writing songs trying to convince the rest of us 'lowly serfs' that we'd be better off living under an authoritarian communist regime, owning nothing, and subsisting only with the most basic resources. But worry not... That lowly standard of living would've ONLY applied to us regular rubes, but NEVER to John or Yoko!! 😈👹
