Not only is this dangerous for the deputies, but this is dangerous for the los Angeles citizens. Having deputies out there over worked causes more mistakes they are most likely angry and stressed that will pour over to the citizens they interact with. And to have suicidal deputies carrying guns around people is very dangerous this needs more attention.

And the asshole public doesn't help with the way it's in style to hate ALL cops and call them "pigs." It's the norm to dehumanize them and to disrespect them. So many citizens are guilty of this. They absolutely don't help with the anti-cop attitude that has become the norm since the George Floyd incident that involved a handful of cops and entire police forces across the nation have had to suffer backlash even if they weren't involved. Disgusting general public these days.

On the biggest scale, CDF, (before it became Cal Fire), and various fire agencies were shut down by pollution control boards, miscellaneous bureaucrats and organizations for decades despite warning of future conflagrations without controlled burns. The 4 million+ acre burn of California in 2020 was mostly preventable. There's nearly always opposition from somewhere, either public or bureaucratic agencies for identified hazards. I honestly have VA here in Florida and I must say they have been really good with mental health... I even say better than civilian hospitals and facilities... I noticed many staff at facilities are much much nicer and actually care because
      1. They got the job specifically because they want to help vets and enjoy serving those who serve.
      2. They are vets themselves and been through the mental health struggles as well, so they know.
Not everyone is like this though of course. But I've experienced both civilian and VA and VA is like the Hilton compared to civilian in my opinion. One thing I will say is there is a lot of ways to reach out for help with the VA but you have to be willing to get it and stay on it. I will also say that sometimes the doctors aren't the greatest because the VA overworks and under pays them, but that's my biggest complaints is that there is not enough man power to meet the growing number of patients needs in the VA

So glad I left the LAPD when I did. It’s nothing but negativity and the adage of we are a family is a joke. What he’s saying is the truth and you wonder why we continue to see such a negative affect on the community they serve. Becoming successful at something else besides policing is what makes me feel better with my life. These deputies that have problems need to know there are other things you can do with your life besides policing. How sad that the dept can’t support their own let alone the community as well.

I now have a First Responder Therapy dog that goes to Police Departments, Fire Departments, EMS units, Comm centers to just give these personnel just a little bit of a break. To The Ex-Sheriff guy who came forward and spoke up. Thank you for coming forward.
Every Officer, every Public Servant, before you're issued a Badge; You swear an Oath to ALWAYS Uphold and Defend The Constitution ! Yet, I see these Officers VIOLATE The Constitution everyday.
To ALL These Officers out there:
If you're doing Traffic Stops or Checkpoints, You're in VIOLATION of The Constitution !
You have The Right to travel FREELY on State and City Highways and Streets without being molested by Government Officials, unless you've committed a crime.
Traffic Stops are NOT crimes ! You don't go to jail or prison for Traffic Stops ! Therefore ALL Traffic Stops and ALL Checkpoints are a VIOLATION of The Constitution !

There’s a comment made here by the fellow
that struck me as weird: “when we ask where is so and so, we get to find out..: “oh they ate their gun yesterday (as in they committed suicide with their own weapon!!..”…..” but if the person wasn’t saying anything to any co-worker re. their feelings/thoughts ..”as though they can’t go on..!!..” - Just a thought ..but..
is it possible that there is foul play within the
staffs’ hired members..? -To say this much more……: ‘He stated they weren’t allowed to
complain’ …. sooooo did those who would get
to hear the complaints also per-say reach their own quota to the point that they would have badly reacted toward their own folks whom they had hired..? (unless they knew something fishy which they were to have wanted to keep from coming out.., thus a motive to annul a party in
their midst who knows..?? Hopefully that’s not
    it..!! But.., hmm!!🧐)
    - For outsiders .. looking in or trying to….,
.. it’s harder to figure the whole thing out.
But seems like it needs be ‘thought thru’ on
many levels (…. hmmmm: just in case?🤨
as there seems to me a bit of some fishiness!!)
    -Thanks!

When my son was executed with 5 shots in the back by the L.A. police - no one cared. Now these officers are self terminating? Could it be divine intervention? I dont know if this is justice or not but i have heard thru the grapevine that others are self terminating themselves because of their crimes they have committed against the people. Maybe a hotline should be establised country-wide to give these officers a chance to admit their crimes and find more healthy ways to resolve some of their heartache. There are numerours crimes many of these officers have committed. They need a hotline so they can unburden their souls before divine intervention takes action. My three cents. Either way, karma will have its day (over and over and over - before its too late). Ever knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess. FACTS.

So the head of the sheriff’s department has an “ executive team”, while the cops out protecting their fellow Angelinos, get nothing huh? There’s one if the problems right there? If he was a real leader, he’d get rid of his team, and use that money to hire more cops. Period. I left Venice years ago, and haven’t been back. It’s a great place to be from, but seeing and hearing how the leaders don’t care bout crime, cause they live in gated communities, im glad I got out of that rat infested place.

The mental health of LEO’s should be a priority for any department. This isn’t just a LASD problem. It’s a nationwide problem. Untreated mental illness can lead to self medicating (pills or alcohol) and that’s frightening when you consider that they’re armed and depressed or stressed and tired. I can’t imagine what they see on a daily basis.
While I may often disagree with the way that certain law enforcement agencies have handled their interactions with citizens and then hidden behind qualified immunity, I do want a healthy, safe and well trained (meaning they actually know the laws they are supposed to enforce) police department that allows the officers time off and to get help for themselves when they need it and not to hold it against them. Those two feelings can exist at the same time.
Mental illness is an ongoing problem in our country and we need to do better. Especially for those who are supposed to be protecting us. I’m including the Armed Service’s in this comment. My dad is a Vietnam War Veteran and it’s been hit and miss with his VA interactions, it just depends where you live. Out here it’s been pretty good. When he lived in the south east, not so much and as yesterday was Veterans Day, I can’t think of a better time to raise this issue of mental health in those who serve to protect us here or abroad.
