Looks good. I'd like to see another collaboration between Insta360 and Caddx because the stabilisation on the Peanut is very good with the Insta360 software with Flowstate on. A 4K peanut would be my ideal camera.
@@bugsy742 That would be interesting because as much as people love Gyroflow, I don't think it's nearly good as the Insta360 stabilisation. And as far as I know you can't use the Walnut with the Insta360 software.
Looks pretty good to me, but I got the runcam thumb pro recently and I find the image pretty darn good. This one would probably be better though, especially with the higher image quality available. I’m very tempted to get one, maybe in a few weeks after checking it out more.
@@mtcdrones thumb pro does have image stabilisation and also gyro data for if you want to turn off the stabilisation and use gyro flow to stabilise it. For such a small camera it’s surprisingly good video quality.
While making my review video's the Walnut got burning hot almost untouchable, I addressed that to Caddx. So far it got better but still very hot when using the Video download over WiFi connection. It is better to get the video off the SD card.
My peanut broke. I sent it back to caddx who told me they could not replace it as it had been discontinued. I was offered a 60% discount on the walnut but its just not the same for my small quads. I was gutted.
@@RS_ This is from the actual email. They said I burnt it out which I definitely didn't "Hello Steve sorry for the late reply Peanut has been discontinued, we have no more in stock Yes, I can offer 60% off for Walnut Camera, but it's not released right now, no specific price set But its price will be lower than peanut"
What a shame, the Peanut is an excellent camera. Let's hope that they bring out a replacement. I guess that the deal with Insta360 is over.... happy flying!
I had the same experience when my 1st one broke 👍 I bought a further 2 when they were still available, one survives to this day and I know I’m on borrowed time, I do far more of my flights on 3.5” quads than I do with my 5” birds and the Peanut has been invaluable to me, such a shame 😞
Am I the only one worried about the battery life? 25-30mins is not enough to get me through a morning session, let alone a full day. I understand you can power from your quad (adding more weight given the magnetic charger), but I need to swap between quads. Any idea how long it takes to fully charge?
Hey brother do you know how I can update the firmware? My Walnut arrived yesterday but it’s being an absolute MARE 😢 stops recording after 23 seconds if it starts at all! 😞
Hold on,.. when you connect Walnut to VTX, you'll get DJI O3 system ;) price wise, the extra $$ you spend on upgrading DJI Vista system to O3 is about the same as using Vista for live view and Caddx Walnut for recording.
Lots of things made with quads that only fly for 5 mins in mind. They forget that there are big markets for cameras like this for other use cases... Happy flying
Thank u for not running to review. Now we have clear understanding of the product.
Fantastic review, Lee! Thanks! 😃
Really nice camera indeed! As more options in the market, the better!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
And to mention the Caddx Walnut has better image quality then the GoPro Session5! Thanks Lee!
Humm…should I buy this or wait for the new Session 6🤔🤔
Did you just say the German "kaputt"? We most likely would use "fertig" (which translates to the English "done"). ;-)

Hey buddy I’ve been using a couple of peanuts since they were released and I love em, my Walnut arrives mid week so I’ll do a comparison 👍🤝

Does it have built in image stabilization or does it vibrate while flying?

@@davidreynolds8551 WTF are you talking about? Tumb Pro Does NOT have built in image stabilisation!
Can the iflight type C cable be used to power the camera using the lipo?
There is a cable in the kit to be used with the magnetic charger for that. Happy flying

I suggest do not transfer file with wifi, same as peanut caddx its very2 hot and will fail the unit, better using cable or mmc direct,
This is great info 👍🤝
would you recomand this camera for normal pov shots or like mounting on a bike,
Maybe, it works well but I've not tried it like that. Lots of options for this pricepoint.

Discontinued? Really? The best camera for under 250gr builds...

how about durability, man? thanks 🙏
Not broken mine yet... Happy flying
@@Painless360 great! Thank you 🙏
Would love to see the comparison with Thumb Pro
How to fix may caddx walnut everytime i record it stop at 24 sec and record new?
Can this be connected to a flight controller directly?
Yes it can via the supplied charge cable to a UART. See manual.
Will it fit in the same case for GoPro 5?
Doesn't fit mine here... Happy flying

7:28 - 2x 5 min flights
before battery dies?? That's a total deal breaker for me.
Lots of excellent cameras in this segment now. My two favourites are the RunCam Thumb PRO and Caddx Peanut (if you can still find one!)

I'd contact the seller, that sounds like a potentially dodgy unit. Best of luck
@@Painless360 thanks brother 👍 a replacement is now with me and so far so good 😃✊👍
No to get my pea brain around installing and using gyroflow! 😱🤣
Gopro stock price never been high since going public
please please give us some vtol flight dvr footage

@@lomtikster Well, yes, but you wouldn't be buying a walnut for each quad 😉
I think the next session is coming. Will get interesting…
I think it's quite a bit heavier though...
10 min battery time is just useless
