I did enjoy the video. I would have liked it to be longer, though! I would be interested in seeing your training videos of Reina and how she is progressing. I would also like to see how you decide what to do with each horse. I mean like what kind of training schedule is needed. Does it matter in what discipline each horse is being used for?
@@lynnm.kleingardner8640 Appreciate the feedback and great ideas :) I am planning to do more surveys moving forward to create videos that subscribers like you wish to see. Many of my subscribers watch an average of 2-4 minutes so I am always thinking I need to make things shorter. I am curious what length of videos you typically enjoy? Thanks for the support :)
@@JSHorsemanship I like to see 20 minutes. Actually, watching you work with the horses, I could easily watch longer! But I have to be realistic. Sometimes life gets busy!
I am struggling to relax on canter and I bounce all over the place. i don't know how to sit back in the seat and go with the horse's rhythm. any videos on anxious riders relaxing and cantering?
I loved this! I bought my dream foal several years ago, a beautiful Lippitt Morgan. She's my first youngster, and i ran into some problems i saw in your clips. I really hope you have training videos with Reina posted, that would be amazing, as I loved the calm, matter of fact way you handled things!
That’s wonderful! It’s definitely exciting and challenging to work with young horses. She sounds like a lovely mare:) Thank you for your kind words and support. I am planning on doing some videos showing Reinas training and some of the things we are working on. I’ve been working on an online course that will be available the end of the year. That has been taking a lot of my spare time so I haven’t been doing many long form videos as of late🐴😊
I rescued a six year old Arabian Stallion who had been stuck in a round pen his entire life, completely ignored. He has scars all over his body because when he cut his leg or had an abcess they couldn't catch him so they did nothing to clean or treat his injuries. The vet said it looks like his face was burned. When I first got him it took 4 hours to just touch his shoulder. It took 2 years to pick up his back feet. He used to freeze up plant his front feet & roll his eyes back into his head if he decided not to walk through a gate or something. Now he walks calmy through gates, over tarps and logs and over a bridge, in the horse trailer, through water & anywhere I ask him. He trusts me. I put a saddle on him & he bucked like crazy. But now I can saddle him & lay on his back but he is scared of anyone getting on him. I tried riding him a few months ago but he spun around and I fell off and fractured my rib. I called my trainer and he said, "that horse isn't even in kindergarten yet. He's in pre-school. Go back to the basics. Its gonna take a long time with him because he's lacking confidence and super sensitive and afraid." So, Im back on the ground. He really tries hard he but when he gets scared he's super fast & bolts. Do you have any videos that you can recommend for a challenging forward moving scared horse?
Little kids ride horses, so your weight really isn't a problem. In fact, most professional jockeys are closer to your weight than to most other people's.
There's a horse build for every rider out there. I have a very petite adult boarder here who rides a beautiful black pony! And a very tall, big boned woman who rides a huge draft- looking quarter horse. Then there's everything in between. Horse can be for everyone! Best wishes!
I am planning on getting back to posting in June:) I’ve had a lot going on personally, so I haven’t been able to post anything for a while, but I’m planning on getting back into the swing of things this summer.
I Hope you found this helpful :) What type of topics would you like covered in upcoming videos?
