awesome, as a Syrian I'm also really interested in mastering tunisian Arabic. It's one of my favourite dialects :) I hope there will be also Algerian and Moroccan teams in the future!
I'm Tunisian and I like the Syrian Arabic too ...we can teach eachothers 😊
*As a British who went to Tunisia in the summer of 2022 I can confirm that this country Tunisia is one of the best countries in the world ! I love the weather there with the food (I like spicy food) and the beach 😍🤩 this summer I will return to Tunisia 💗*
You’re welcome take care ☺️
I am Maltese and I could understand most....except some words like barsha....we say hafna! We say similarvword for carrots which is Tzunariya. Nice programme and I enjoyed it
In Tunisia, we say “a hafna” refers to a small quantity, and “a hafna” is a word by which we mean the amount of something that is shown in the palm of the hand or handful. Except in one case, the word "hafna" becomes "barsha". I'll give you an example. When a person puts a large amount of almonds or nuts in tea, we say that this person puts almonds by the "hafna", and here we mean that he puts large amounts of almonds because he is supposed to put a small amount.
They even say "mela" regularly like we do in Malta! :) :) Hehe
Cool, I said Sfennaria. But my friend is from the south and said Senaria. Interesting to see how Malta was influenced by the crazy Tunisian rhythm and accent 😂
Barcha means "a lot" or "many". But hafna for us means the opposite.
بربي ما عادش تختار اللي يتكلموا بالفرنسيه ، إختار كان اللي يتكلموا تونسي عربي بحت !

This is great content. I'm looking for more entertaining stuff in tunisian arabic. Does anybody know any good tunisian youtubers? Or maybe tunisian shows and movies that don't contain any sexual content?

60 % of Tunisian are berber 20 % European and Turkish origin 10 % Black 5 % mideast origin and 5 % ishmealites Arabic....Arabs are minority in tunisia an 60 % of the Tunisian language words are berber, French, Italian n Spanish......
There more Turkish and Black than Arabs! Yeah sure! Funny how 60% of the dialect isn't Arabic but in this video 90% of the words used are Arabic.
How similar is Tunisian Arabic to Egyptian Arabic? Which I know is the “standard” Arabic.
Egyptian isn't Standard Arabic or Fusha it's just that everyone understands the Eygptian dialect because media and exposure etc. The Tunisian dialect is different from Egyptian and is more like maghrebi Dialects like Algerian and Moroccan.
@@MN-pj4uu interesting. So is Egyptian dialect what an Arabic learner should go for ?
@@EphemeralProductionsDepends on why you want to learn Arabic if you just want to be understood by most Arabs then yeah the Egyptian dialect is good but if you're emigrating to a specific country then learn the dialect of that country.
@@MN-pj4uu k. Yeah I just want to be understood by most so I will stick with Egyptian. :)
@@EphemeralProductions This is not how things work. If you want everyone to understand you, you have to speak classical Arabic, but the Egyptian dialect is not understood by all Arabs. In the past, Egyptian soap operas were watched by Arabs and through them they learned the dialect, but today the new generations do not understand the Egyptian dialect and are not interested in it, so young people will find it difficult to understand you, and for this reason I advise you to follow classical Arabic.
