Nice to see some varadero wrenching on the tube!
Thanks TheRydde, its my daily rider, so it will appear from time to time, its a great bike, owned it about 5 years now, it had 19,000 miles on it when i got it, now just gone through 85,000 miles
Very Good
Thank you! Cheers!

Your welcome , hope you enjoyed it
Thanks so much for making the video mate. Much appreciated.
Thanks Col.Klink , glad it was of help, i will hopefully being doing more on the Varadero in the future
@@TheAmateurBikeBuilder cheers mate. I recently purchased a 99 Varadero and love it. Just getting to grips with the mechanical (ie lack of computer bits and pieces that I'd taken for granted) nature of the beast :-)
Its a great bike, bought mine with 19500 miles on it, now has 86600 miles on it, due for a makeover/strip down so that will probably follow the Z650 restoration i am doing at the moment
@@TheAmateurBikeBuilder understand completely. Mine had 100,000 on it when I got it but most of it is Australian distance travel...fortunately no collisions with animals. Thanks for taking the time to record step by step your work and share it with us. This is one of the best features of RUclips, people being able to share their knowledge. Cheers.
@@ColKlink-pk9yx Thanks again, really appreciate your comment.
Thank you 👍
Cheers Marko, hope it was helpful, there will be more video's on the Varadero coming in the next couple of months
great video thank you I have never seen my spark plugs or air filter they could be iridum plugs and K&N air filter for all I know . I bought my Varadero with 21000 miles its just gone over 30000 miles now I have replaced the brake pads all round and just fitted new chain and sprockets and tyres . I have bought 2 bikes and was delighted to fine K&N air filters fitted one was filthy no bother just wash it and spray some K&n oil on it the other is brand new . before I awaken her from her winter sleep I will check the tyre pressures bleed up the brakes as I think they go off over winter easy enough job only 6 bleed nipples : ) and then inspect the air filter and plugs but with such low miles they shoud be ok . over time I will buy a accurate low range torque wrench and feeler gauges and check the valve clearance .
Thanks Harry, mines heading towards 82000 miles and still going strong, thats the beauty of K&N filters, just wash it re-oil it and away you go
I will be trying to replace the spark plugs this week and also the air filter not sure if the air filter is exactly the same as yours my Varadero is from 2007 I’ll post it out as soon as I finish
Hello Hugo, no the air filters are different, but both have the small pink filters shown in this video,
Good vid mate, I couldn’t get your other vid on the ST strip down to play, not sure why?
Thanks, the ST stripdown isnt live yet, thats coming soon

Thanks Abdenour, it is a great bike
