Samsung & Google have to put more pressure on the app devs. Devs generally prioritize Apple as it's only one OS where with Android, like Windows app sometimes have to be optimized for multiple devices. But some app companies don't even have an separate set of devs for Android so they're working on the app for both OS'.

I'm glad you tried out samsung it's a better product than Apple I tried the 15 pro max last month and went straight back to my samsung series apple is a cool product but samsung gives a better user experience and options
I recently acquired this device. Initially, I was anticipating the release of the new iPad, however, the significant price difference compelled me to reconsider my options. Historically, I have utilized Samsung Note devices (currently the S series Ultras) as my primary phone and an iPad as my tablet. Nevertheless, upon evaluating my actual requirements, rather than mere desires, I have narrowed down my choices to two brands. Realistically, I could manage with a budget of $1600, but I managed to obtain this device for less than $1000. With additional effort and patience, I could have potentially found an even lower price. Nonetheless, I am content with my purchase. The device closely resembles my phone in terms of functionality. Currently, I am exploring its full range of capabilities. It is worth noting that Apple optimizes its applications more effectively, which was an anticipated aspect of this transition. I have a 14-day return policy, so I am still evaluating whether this device will adequately replace my iPad or if the additional investment in the iPad is warranted. Overall, I appreciate the positive long-term assessment provided in the review. Btw, AI responses make me sound so smart. Lol
I get it, life happens and work/partner/etc. deserves time as well but this video was 2 days late brodie lol I don't know how many times I refreshed my YT to see if a new video popped up. Now that we got that out the way, I have the Tab S7+ LTE and S8 Ultra and both are amazing tablets! I threw away paper/pencil and use the Tabs strictly for note taking for school and work. Consuming content on top of that is next level. I do suggest having a significant other when using this device in bed as you can have them prop the tab for you as its so large (no diddy). The thing with all this tech is that they ALL are amazing, but you have to figure out how to incorporate them into your lifestyle and that is when you are able to unlock the TRUE potential of these great devices.
Hey, man! The first part of your comment cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣 My bad man, my bad! When YT becomes the full time thing, it'll be easier to pump out every week, 365 days 😆 I'm doing my best! I'll have to put Maria on the back burner for a little bit 🤔 The no diddy 💀 Never diddy! Hahahaha. And 10000%, I agree! They're all awesome nowadays, it's about finding what works best for you in multiple use cases. I'm glad you're have such a great time with it!

I know this is not the relevant video but your reviews on te fold 5 helped me make up My mind I ended up buying it nowthat it has all the Galaxy Al features. super powerful and use ful reviews
As a Tab S9Ultra user, I absolutely love its 14.6-inch screen; the display quality is astonishing. Dex and AI features are incredibly helpful as well. I prefer using fingerprint to unlock the tab, but Tab S9Ultra can only store 3 fingerprints, which seems a bit limited. Also, I wish S Pen had a rubber cap on the end without the nib. It would allow for using it to swipe and scroll on the screen as a substitute for fingers, preventing the screen from getting dirty😀
I just bought the tab s9 ultra, I come from the tab s8 ultra, and I'm still delighted with its size, and now more with its battery I feel that with the LTPO screen now it consumes much less the screen and I can have the highest brightness in situations that had it low to save battery
Dex is the main reason I switched back from the iPhone. I plug my S24 to my 32-in monitor and I can watch my shows, while answering phones, texting, and much more. I traded my S8 Plus tablet for the S9 Ultra and I am more than happy with it.
Advantages: 1. Good multitasking capability, with the ability to open multiple app windows simultaneously. 2. High maximum screen brightness (93 nits), allowing comfortable outdoor use even under bright sunlight. 3. Smooth and responsive writing experience with the S Pen, along with plenty of easily accessible command and shortcut options. 4. Fast and accurate facial recognition, even in various lighting conditions. 5. Exceptional sound quality from the speakers, providing an immersive multimedia experience. 6. Good battery life, with 45W fast charging capability. 7. Good performance of Samsung Dex, especially in its classic layout when connected to an external monitor. Disadvantages: 1. Unsatisfactory haptic feedback, feeling somewhat cheap and with suboptimal positioning. 2. Relatively long battery charging time, despite having fast charging capability, full charging takes significant time. 3. Suboptimal use of the vibration motor, with a cheap-sounding vibration and uncomfortable positioning when in use.
What does being a buddhist have to do with those things? Lol. Do you study buddhist teachings? Do you use any specific apps or anything, or just youtube and the internet?
a new subscriber right now. just want to say your video is amazing. i love my S9 Ultra and happy to see an android fan like myself. want to ask, when you are outside, what kind of microphone do you use to have such a clean sound.?
Great review, thank you for keeping it simple and to the point. I do have a question though...How do this compare to the MS Surface Pro 9 tablet? I got one issued at work for business and am thinking of getting one of my own, but I am really liking these new SAMSUNG tablets. Any advice is appreciated.
Top quality content and presentation..you should have millions of subs but the problem is the tech yt coverage is so saturated with great channels that it's really hard for new ones to grow
i had this tablet for about two months, i just didnt like the app layout on such large tablet for what i use. plus it misses the create apps i use like pro create. i did buy a S9 though and that feels like a great genuine tablet. plus there is no drop off other than screen size. great review!
Maybe you got a bad haptic engine. The haptic engine on my Tab S7+ can be felt through the entire tablet, but it has started to wear out after 4 years & sounds like yours now. It used to sound/feel way more solid & premium.
its a great device.... software is great... but some apps are missing: Blackmagic Davinci Resolve, Affinity Photo & co... so i stay with my ipad pro and using z fold 5 als daily driver phone with all the great samsung stuff...
Great call on those apps missing! I especially found myself missing it when doing an editing/export test. Lumafusion is alright, but not quite like the others you mentioned. Responding to you on my Fold 5 😁
Your brain can only tell you about the apps the you need that's only iPad but it won't tell you about the ones that other people need that's not on iPad, you all think the same.
I have only had my S9 ultra for about 2 months now I replaced my laptop with it because it can do everything I need it to and having an S pen is even better for writing and drawing
Idk man, my tablet doesn't last me 3 to 4 days. I use it to take notes in classes and study. I got that don't charge past 85% option on so if i go into my day with 85%, i usually end up with 40% if i use my tablet for every class so I end up charging it overnight when I'm home again. It lasts me 2, max.3 days at uni. But what i can say is that its amazing for note taking. I can open the pdf or question sheet on one half of the screen and still write wonderfully on the other half. Directly writing on the presentation slides of my professors is such a boom when i review for my studies later and read all my clarifications. And making the notes during the lecture in the moment really helps remembering it later on. I don’t have the delay with the spen while writing. Its a wonderfully smooth ride and i almost exclusively use my tablet in horizontal mode cause it's honestly too big for vertical mode but damn, i love being able to open the pdfs and my notes at the same time without any strain to my eyes cause it's still comfortably big enough. For students, the only thing i can actually mope about is that if i open my pdfs in samsung note, take notes on it and forget to save it, then go off at the end of the day and open a few new sessions of samsung notes while my unsaved pdf is still open in the background, it will not save my notes automatically and close all tabs when i close all tabs or when samsung notes is overwhelmed by the many open sessions. But that's mostly on me, honestly. I just wanna go off home and forget to save it sometimes. But this only happens if you open a pdf for the first time in samsung notes and haven't saved it before. If you had it open in samsung notes once before, it usually asks you if you want to restore the unsaved file and it works! Just a little extra info. But honestly it's huge so if you want to be able to whip it out wherever and whenever, i wouldn’t recommend buying the ultra version cause any other version can do it just as good and is easier to handle in your hands. I only use mine when i have a surface to prop it on or when i can rest it on my legs comfortably. Cause you know, I'm rather short 😅 Anyway love it for my studies and its just wonderful for note taking and working on problems cause i can open up to 4 pdfs/note sheets while solving problems cause i need them for references all while taking my notes. I just wish i didnt have to plug the spen to the back for charging. I'm always paranoid that i will lose it somewhere, when its not at the top of my tablet in its place in the tablet case
I had a tab S7, but I sold it for the iPad Mini 6. The Mini is like the perfect size and the one thing android is missing is developer support. I got it for myself as a graduation gift and I did enjoy it. It was weird being a portrait size, but it was an excellent media machine. However, RUclips would constantly crash and wouldn’t function properly and the editing apps I would use to edit my word documents were just inconsistent and stuttered. Idk if the app ecosystem has gotten better, but once released the Mini 6, I was sold. Sold the Tab S7 and broke even on a mini 6. Haven’t regretted the decision and I have had a better experience on my iPad. More developer support, but the eco system of being able to airdrop and apples base PDF viewer and being able to edit on there was just superior to what Samsung offered from memory. Oh and with Dex, it was cool, but there were compatibility issues with my college programs so I could never use it as a laptop replacement. However, if you like android; they are solid devices.
I have the Tab S9 and the iPad Mini 6. I like the form factor of the Mini 6, but I have had many problems with it. I live in a hot/humid climate, and in summer it overheats and freezes. I also find that many apps are not optimized for the Mini, and the keyboard is lacking. So I use the Tab S9 most of the time, but wish that Samsung made a high-quality 8" equivalent of the Mini.
@@ljacobs357 interesting. Almost every single app I use is optimized for my mini. Even my random banking app that didn’t work on android tablets. What apps are you using that are not optimized?

I am thinking about getting one, for daily use and travel. When i travel, it's usually with my wife. How is the Ultra with sharing the wireless with two sets of earbuds?
Nice to see someone really using it with a long term review. How do you like the s9+ for portability, and reading on the go? I am debating with the base model and s9+. And secondly, I plan on using the tablet as a secondary monitor to my desktop when I'm not actively using it as a tablet. What do you think? Would it be a problem for the screen?
Fantastic review! Do you have any app recommendations for business owners? My hubby and I just started a business, and we wanted to know what apps and programs to use to run our business more efficiently. I noticed you said something about signing off on contracts- that sounds interesting! What apps would you recommend for something like that? :) Also, do you recommend getting this if you have a fold? Do you think they compliment one-another well, or do you not really need both and it’s just more of a preference?

Sorry mate you seem like a really awesome guy but you barely covered anything. How is file transfer. How is uploading and file sharing. How are the apps? What aspects of the software doesnt work? Can you work on this ditching your windows or mac?
@tahsin28 Hi there! Sorry if the video didn't feel complete for you, I'll do my best to make amends here: 1) File transfer speeds are great! No problems there. 2) Uploading to cloud/Google Drive has never been a problem and file sharing between the tablet and my 24Ultra and Fold 5 and 6 have been smooth. 3) Honestly no problem with apps software wise. Things have been smooth so far (as I would hope.) Maybe X doesn't run quite as smooth as on IPhone but that's an Android thing (developers) 4) Software is good! This used to be a huge problem with past galaxy devices (and why I stopped around the Galaxy Note 10+ and other Samsung tablets for a few years), but this overall has been really great. One thing I noticed is in Honkai Star Rail, sometimes my taps don't register but I wonder if it's an optimization thing 5) Now that my clinical job shifted software platforms, yes! The only thing I don't think would cut it is the Video Editing for youtube. I hope that helps!
Is it possible to replace my old laptop with this device if mainly what I do is browsing web, replying to e-mails, watching movies, sometimes have to make basic photo editing, sort some files, record screen during important lectures?
It is possible, especially if doing just the basics, especially with Dex it feels like a PC experienc, to an extent. Also check out additional videos/articles/forums on photo editing using Tab S9 as certain apps will have limited capabilities compared to the pc or even iOS counterparts. You'll also want to invest in a seperate keyboard cover or configure to use an existing Bluetooth keyboard and add a case or stand to prop up the device.
I'm using the Tab s8 ultra for study, it's way more than enough, tons of features I don't even have to use. For media consumption this screen is one of the best thanks to it's size and ratio.
Are you sure that the fast charging feature is turned on in the settings? That doesn't seem right. I do know these devices slow charge from 0-20% and 85-100% because fast charging puts serious strain on the battery. Even using your tablet between those percentages puts a strain on it.
I'm not sure what Anne is referring to as far as "micro stutters" - I just got done watching this video on my own Tab S8 Ultra which I haven't had anyway problems with in the 1.5 years I've had it. When the Tab S9 Ultra came out, I didn't feel like the upgrades were enough of an improvement for me trade my Tab S8 Ultra in for a Tab S9 Ultra. The waterproofing for the Tab S9 Ultra is comical; I love how they advertised a woman sitting by a water fountain with her Tab S9 Ultra. Anyways, I'm like never around a bunch of water with my tablet. 🤷♂️ Also, I didn't feel like the upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 was enough of a monumental difference (I have the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 which has the Gen 2 processor, and I appreciate it; but wouldn't run out and buy a new tablet for it). And for context, I have the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage; 16GB of RAM on a tablet seemed overkill.
Just got my s9 ultra today, with keyboard from samsung (but i hate it cuz it keeps falling off with little push) so imma stick with the keyboard backcover only and maybe just leave the keyboard at office for office work only lol oh. and it is HUGe. i mean it is so huge i don't think i can hold it in hands long time LOL
Hey, Anne! I don't blame you, that's a hard choice to make! That's SO interesting that your S8 Uktra had microstutters! I haven't experienced that on the S9 Ultra 🤔 (...yet.... hopefully never 😂) What do you use your tablet for?
I'm always torn between both currently using tab s9ultra and s24u great eco system. I also have the 15pm. The iPad does have some specific ios creator focused apps but I don't use that. Also the stylus comes with it and you can use any waccom stylus if you want which is a plus. For me it's a better all around device rather than a singular focused device like the iPad. And let's not even talk about for entertainment and media my goodness. I feel I'd rather have a new MacBook air rather than an iPad because iPad os is very limiting and has a terrible file management system as where the tab s9 series and samaung in general has a more native file system. Stage manager is nice on the iPad however only works when connected to a display. Feels like a waste of real estate not being able to use it solely on the iPad like dex does on the s9u.
@@DavidAVelez1I’m a med student so mostly for notetaking and Reading. Hello. First of all, how are you? Greetings from Turkey. I'm going to start college this year and I want a device that won't upset me for many years. In fact, does Android slow down? It's not a system I trust very much. Do you think iPad Air or Samsung S9 Ultra would be better for me? I'm not a gamer. The important things are that it will run 3D software easily. It will have a nice screen and it will be easy to take notes. If he causes problems, medical school will be torture for me.

I'd recommend the Tab S9 Ultra, it's already such a phenomenal tablet. According to leaks, the tab S10 ultra won't be released until Early 2025 with the S25 series. I don't believe the S10 ultra will be much of an upgrade over the S9 ultra which is literally already a beautiful beast of a tablet.

I'll have to put Maria on the back burner for a little bit 🤔
The no diddy 💀 Never diddy! Hahahaha.
And 10000%, I agree! They're all awesome nowadays, it's about finding what works best for you in multiple use cases.
I'm glad you're have such a great time with it!
David, as your subscriptor and follower I am always satisfied about your great quality content videos. This one, is amazing too. As a lawyer and professor I am needing a new tablet, my iPad Pro 2019 needs a replacement and you convinced me about the Galaxy Tab Ultra. Thank you for your videos! Keep it up!
Thank you so much, Manuel! I really appreciate the love and kind words 🤗
And that's super cool that you're a lawyer and professor! Great work! I hope the Tab S9 Ultra is able to do everything you need it to! (I think it will 😁)
Onward we go!
As a Samsung "fanboy" we need proof that you've switched from Apple to Samsung.
Thank you for your detailed dive there was alot of information that other channels don't go over. You just earned a new follower.
I bought one a few days ago. I only use it to take notes. That battery really is something else! 📝😎👍
Thanks for the video on this! This will be my next tablet.
Absolutely! A review for this is LOOOONG overdue haha!
When are you getting it?
@@DavidAVelez1 not to sure. Whenever my iPad dies. Which won't be long because my child abuses it daily 🫠🤣

I think Samsung is the new leader. They treat us like an adult.
I know this is not the relevant video but your reviews on te fold 5 helped me make up My mind
I ended up buying it nowthat it has all the Galaxy Al features.
super powerful and use ful reviews
Thank you for making this review! Been on the ipad for a long time, considering to try out an android tablet for productivity-
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
1. Unsatisfactory haptic feedback, feeling somewhat cheap and with suboptimal positioning.
2. Relatively long battery charging time, despite having fast charging capability, full charging takes significant time.
3. Suboptimal use of the vibration motor, with a cheap-sounding vibration and uncomfortable positioning when in use.
the battery capacity is like 3 times that of a phone. of course its gonna take a bit of time to charge.
As a Buddhist, I used my Tab S9 Ultra to study, take picture and draw recipes. I also Date a young beautiful girl whom I'm gonna marry this winter

a new subscriber right now. just want to say your video is amazing. i love my S9 Ultra and happy to see an android fan like myself. want to ask, when you are outside, what kind of microphone do you use to have such a clean sound.?
Great review, thank you for keeping it simple and to the point. I do have a question though...How do this compare to the MS Surface Pro 9 tablet? I got one issued at work for business and am thinking of getting one of my own, but I am really liking these new SAMSUNG tablets. Any advice is appreciated.
I've had it for 2 weeks and I'm currently using my phone to watch this video 😭 hoping I'll be using it more when school starts
Lovely review💯✨️
Top quality content and presentation..you should have millions of subs but the problem is the tech yt coverage is so saturated with great channels that it's really hard for new ones to grow
i had this tablet for about two months, i just didnt like the app layout on such large tablet for what i use. plus it misses the create apps i use like pro create. i did buy a S9 though and that feels like a great genuine tablet. plus there is no drop off other than screen size. great review!
Great review- Thank you

@@DavidAVelez1 I'll see about those next week. My brain needs to rest.
Have you tried editing 4k video with lumafusion or capcut? How was importing files to the timeline and was exporting the video painfully long?
What is the keyboard are you using in this video? Thanks
Great video! 🎉
Thanks Dr. Atom! Hopefully others find it as such also 😁
May I ask what you're a Doctor of?
I have only had my S9 ultra for about 2 months now I replaced my laptop with it because it can do everything I need it to and having an S pen is even better for writing and drawing
Still loving my S9 Ultra. Mostly use it for watching videos these days. Vibration and haptics are hit and miss for me
Idk man, my tablet doesn't last me 3 to 4 days.
Cause you know, I'm rather short 😅
Anyway love it for my studies and its just wonderful for note taking and working on problems cause i can open up to 4 pdfs/note sheets while solving problems cause i need them for references all while taking my notes.
Womp womp
I see you play rocket league my good sir😌👌🏾. Love the vids bro
I have a tab s7+ and imma be honest Samsung dex and it's multi tasking is soo good even with that battery life and I have a oppo phone and windows laptop yet that connectivity is soo much better i most likely will be upgrading but not sure whether to wait for the 10 or just get the 9 when prices drop when the new one comes out

What the headphones you were use with it ?
What was the keyboard you used with the tablet?

Also, do you recommend getting this if you have a fold? Do you think they compliment one-another well, or do you not really need both and it’s just more of a preference?
where do you buy that kick stand?

Great tablet i only wish the S pen' is more secure it keeps falling off when i'm not using it
Sorry mate you seem like a really awesome guy but you barely covered anything. How is file transfer. How is uploading and file sharing. How are the apps? What aspects of the software doesnt work? Can you work on this ditching your windows or mac?
@tahsin28 Hi there! Sorry if the video didn't feel complete for you, I'll do my best to make amends here:
1) File transfer speeds are great! No problems there.
2) Uploading to cloud/Google Drive has never been a problem and file sharing between the tablet and my 24Ultra and Fold 5 and 6 have been smooth.
3) Honestly no problem with apps software wise. Things have been smooth so far (as I would hope.) Maybe X doesn't run quite as smooth as on IPhone but that's an Android thing (developers)
4) Software is good! This used to be a huge problem with past galaxy devices (and why I stopped around the Galaxy Note 10+ and other Samsung tablets for a few years), but this overall has been really great. One thing I noticed is in Honkai Star Rail, sometimes my taps don't register but I wonder if it's an optimization thing
5) Now that my clinical job shifted software platforms, yes! The only thing I don't think would cut it is the Video Editing for youtube.
I hope that helps!
Which keyboard are you using ???😅
Bros voice is majestic
This or S9+? What are the diffeences?
I'm not sure why I don't face the same problem with the vibrations
They are pretty cheap but I feel them around the whole tablet
What is the name of the tablet stand in your video?
I - products are hyped
Do you mean overhyped?
Are you sure that the fast charging feature is turned on in the settings? That doesn't seem right. I do know these devices slow charge from 0-20% and 85-100% because fast charging puts serious strain on the battery. Even using your tablet between those percentages puts a strain on it.
Turn on Dolby atmosphere on that tablet
OH! Huge oversight on my part, thank you!
I've watched all your videos comparing the Galaxy S24 Ultra and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, but I'm still unsure which one to choose
I have the tab s8 plus and I love it❤ good video 👍
S9 ultra is good but main problem is oversized!
12-13 inch is best for a tablet
It is INSANELY large 🤣 Definitely too big for most people but I love it for my personal usage!
There's s9+ for that size
I love samsung ❤
All things at my home are from samsung
what about using the tab as 2nd screen? and what are the limitations when using it as 2nd screen?
I use Glidex from Asus for 2nd screen for pc, WiFi or usb cable work gear for me.
I hate the Tan S9 vibrations. Can they be completely disabled?
I do also 😭
I actually haven't looked into that, funny enough! I'll check!

recommended best screen protector for tab S9 ultra
Also, I didn't feel like the upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 was enough of a monumental difference (I have the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 which has the Gen 2 processor, and I appreciate it; but wouldn't run out and buy a new tablet for it). And for context, I have the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage; 16GB of RAM on a tablet seemed overkill.
Just got my s9 ultra today, with keyboard from samsung (but i hate it cuz it keeps falling off with little push) so imma stick with the keyboard backcover only and maybe just leave the keyboard at office for office work only lol
oh. and it is HUGe. i mean it is so huge i don't think i can hold it in hands long time LOL
I’m torn between this and the new iPads soon to be announced 🙈 had the s8 ultra but it had so many micro stutters compared to my iPad pro
Hey, Anne! I don't blame you, that's a hard choice to make!
That's SO interesting that your S8 Uktra had microstutters! I haven't experienced that on the S9 Ultra 🤔 (...yet.... hopefully never 😂)
What do you use your tablet for?
I use my tab s9u for media, art and my sheet music. Does everything I need and well.
@@DavidAVelez1I’m a med student so mostly for notetaking and Reading. I don’t game on it but Watch a lot of Netflix and also read manga 😊 The micro stutters often happened when navigating the ui, switching between apps and dragging a Photo into the notes app. This also sometimes happens on the iPad when I have a lot of apps open but it is rare. Glad to hear you haven’t experienced any stutters on the tab s9 ultra 😊
@@kaiichinose9590I also have both the s24 ultra and 15 pro Max, so I wanted to try the Samsung ecosystem experience between the tablet and Phone, but my previous experience on the tab s8 ultra is holding me back a bit 🙈

Really!
What does yours sound like?
There were a few people in the comments that agreed the vibrations sound and feel bad but it's definitely possible a few faulty units are going around
Mine also works perfectly.
I want to try to wait out until I get me the table S10 Ultra
Is it worth it to buy this Tab S9 ultra now or wait for S10 ultra? I am a med-student and I need a Samsung tab asap to study (I love the Samsung eco system and all other devices are Samsung)
More deals should be rolling out for May and June for the tab s9 to clear stock for the tab s10.
