It is is really nice to share The list of companies and their work. It clearly justifies the point of having lot of opportunities in embedded domains. It also boots motivation of lot of engineers wanted to work for cars, aero craft and a lot more.
The one thing that most interests me in a conversation with other embedded engineers is.... The products they've worked on and the special experiences they've had. My senior manager used to tell me his work experience on pacemaker and they kind of robust software they had to develop during the 90s. Please let us know more of that kind.
Such insightful takeaways from this podcast episode! 🌟 Piyush Itankar's remark that 'Embedded systems are omni-present' truly highlights their pervasive nature, shaping our world in countless ways. Rajat Batra's perspective on debugging skills being more crucial than programming in embedded systems is an eye-opener. It underscores the vital role of troubleshooting and fine-tuning to ensure these systems operate safely. Kudos to @inpyjama for bringing these gems to light in this engaging discussion! 🎙👏
As it seems like we're all taking a moment to introduce ourselves in this podcast, allow me to join in. I'm Ekeno Lokwakai, currently a student at ALx Africa. 🚀 I've always had this incredible fascination with low-level programming that never ceases to amaze me. It's like peering into the inner workings of technology, and I absolutely love it!
You may add a description regarding Model based design since it provides an algorithm derived from the physical world for the embedded application. Example: Solar tracker.
Thank you for this informative podcast. I was also having this confusion what general computing system is… because in books also i have read that there is difference in embedded systems and general computing system Embedded system is such systems having specific functionality or software related to specific functions. If that is the case then i would say general computing system is collection of several embedded systems all together Let me know if i am not correct here😊
Thank god i have passion for right thing and thanks to you guys for holding our hands in era of DSA (I liked it but not as much as compared to firmware development ) Thanks a lot for your efforts
Thank you. Can I request you to help us spread these? We want to make enough progress so the algorithm recognizes this to be useful content and then starts recommending to more and more embedded folks :)
Please do a podcast covering how AI is going to play a role in embedded systems domain for example how can a embedded engineer leverage AI for its work what kind of “AI” up-skill can an embedded engineer can do to keep itself at pace with the AI race ..

This is really cool...! Definitely useful. I currently work in a Tier-1 Automotive company and previously worked in Industrial Automation and Medical Electronics domains. I always had fascination on exploring multiple domains and job roles, just for the experience of it. Is it bad on a career standpoint?
I love how the different yet connected fields of Software, Embedded and Hardware was linked. It has always been a blur for professionals trying to foray from more conventional sectors... Just one suggestion would be to have more inforgraphics when you speak about the various companies or fields etc.. 😊
renesas in defense, st,, si labs. secure boot, vxworks now allows containers in mc, other suggestions how to use tcp stack in mc, advanced amba(reason for suggestion is because it is in syllabus of qualcomm fresher hiring) and please see the hiring topics. thanks for the videos.
Thank you for creating such contents😊... can you also include what are the certifications and courses related to embedded systems(programming skills, os, rtos, kernel, firmware etc)can be done which is both recognised by companies and also fill the knowledge gaps between college and corporate ? Also can you suggest how can i have such diversed experience (for eg. Many of you have worked on application layer, firmware, testing etc). Its very hard to find opportunities which exposes me to different tech and many companies ask for experience even though i have knowledge gained by self learning
Thank you. Can I request you to help us spread these? We want to make enough progress so the algorithm recognizes this to be useful content and then starts recommending to more and more embedded folks :)
We think it is possible. Consider doing lot of personal embedded projects and put them on github. Use them to show your interest in embedded. It'll work better if you are a fresher.
I am currently working in TCS as a system administrator(linux), for last 2.5 years. I wanna switch to a embedded domain job. Although, I am an ECE undergraduate of 2021, but I have no working experience in embedded domain, what are the chances that I get a dev level role in an embedded company.
Its very much possible given that you have only been in this role for 2.5 years. You can start learning embedded concepts, follow our content and do some embedded project. Once you have enough confidence, apply for a few companies. And best of Luck :)
@@inpyjama Thank You for the reply. I have been following your channel for the last 3 months. And hands down, it's one of a kind content that Embedded in Pyjamas provides. I was quite sceptical about my job switch, but now that you have said it could be done I am motivated a lot.
Hello there, My name is Naveen. Firstly big thanks to one and all for doing this. I was interested in an embedded system related work from where I didn't even know that it was called an embedded system and finally I am going to start my career in the embedded system.but I don't know whether I will really like my work because i fall in love with the embedded system for working with prototyping board, sensors, actuators etc.. but I don't think there are much jobs related to this work in industry So I want you to explain and relate things with my question with the particular job roles and it would be great if you explain each and every job role with an embedded system in detail.
Great work guys.. Q. Definitely would like to understand what you guys mean when you can think in C and can't in RUST or some other language.. Also where is discord link if any 😅
Hi Sir, for get job in google , as a embedded engineer what we need to prepare, i am working a bios/uefi devloper in INTEL from AMI. please help by provide iformation.
The best way to proceed on this is to reach a recruiter and work with them to have a champion call scheduled. This way you'll get guided by the recruiter and have your questions answered more reliably. That said, something that worked for me is solving more and more embedded systems related problems, lower level and at the operating systems level. Things depend heavily on the job role that interest you so a recruiter should be able to guide best.
Thanks for replying . My another question is I am embedded engineer but I am only using the Arduino ide and stm32 ide and writing the program using the HAL layer it is good or not
As long as you understand what is happening underneath. It's all good. If not, you should try writing ur own HAL and also learn to boot the M class CPU from scratch. End to end - everything should be your code! 🙌
Being in Embedded systems industry from last 8 years, I really enjoyed the conversation... I appreciate it...Keep it up guys...
It is is really nice to share The list of companies and their work. It clearly justifies the point of having lot of opportunities in embedded domains. It also boots motivation of lot of engineers wanted to work for cars, aero craft and a lot more.

We just jotted some names that we could remembered before the podcast was recorded. Missed, mediatek! :(
I am not from the nit and iit background , then i can work in good mnc company .
Yes! None of that matters really. Majority of the members on the group are from "No name" college :)
