on 27:00 you draw a card from the Beza anyway because you draw that first. Whenever you are resolving the Beza trigger, a trigger gets placed on the stack of Caretaker's Talent; so you draw that card *after* the Beza trigger resolves.
@@CoreyBMTG hopefully soon - would love longer content on the token deck since at least for me its not that easy to see the right play and your thoughts are very helpful.
The 3rd mode must have a target chosen when it goes on the stack, NOT when the effect resolves. The mill and the second third path are added to the stack simultaneously. Since the third path must have already had a target selected, you CANNOT choose the target after the mill resolves.
@begbie0710 you can choose the order. However, when the 3rd mode triggers, the target must already be selected. You don't choose the target on resolution. In other words, no matter the order, the mill occurs after the target is selected no matter what.
It’s always important to be asking yourself questions like “do I need to cast this now or is X good enough?” It prevents us from getting tunnel visioned which makes everyone play worse. :)
Hi Corey, trying to figure out other options to replace Beza because of the current price. Any suggestions for a card that could at least replace 2 copies instead play 4?
This deck looks phenomenal. I'm so curious why this deck was thought to be terrible prior to worlds, added basically no cards from Foundations, and is now positioned so well. Maybe the format just lends itself to this deck working great now with the greater emphasis on GB and mono R as opposed to what we saw at Worlds, but it's still interesting.
I think it was because the presence of Domain back around worlds. That deck seems to smash this and that deck fell off at Worlds. Thant’s my best guess already.
Go figure, he's good at commentary. but i do learn a lot and he covers relevant and interesting decks in standard. great channel to find here. VS UW- at some point do u just let them have their 5/5 for a few turns to deck them, lol. Sideboarding wise I like Exorcise vs their 5/5 and x/4. prob better than beza cuz like u said they have 8 threats and once u take care of that its over.
curious why azorius reanimator is a bad matchup. it certainly isnt easy but my losses have been close grinds and wins are usually pretty solid. and usually i dont find my RIPs :P
By far my favorite MTG content creator. love the knowledge and excitement for the game. Keep up the great work Corey!!!!
yeah, its kind of a bonus that we get an actual professional-level mtg commentator playing games for us.
That really really means a lot to me. Thank you so much for saying that! ❤ I’m going to keep it up for sure!
@@CoreyBMTG Didn't know until today you were making standard content. Good to see, I love your gameplay and commentary.
@@stebobibohappy to have you here! Plan to keep this daily stuff going through 2024 at least!
@@CoreyBMTG Awesome! I'll be checking back for videos regularly then.

Yeah that makes perfect sense. Not sure why I got caught up on that. 😅
Def wanted this deck covered! Great content, bro!
It’s a sweet one for sure! I’ll be doing this one again at some point for sure!

Hi, i don’t understand why they can’t mill and after target a spell at 20:40. Can someone explain or link something to understand?

@ thank you, and why you can’t choose what effect trigger first?

been having a lot of fun playing mono-white tokens/lifegain, it's cool to see a full control version!
Mono-white is great right now for sure!
The patience displayed g1 against oculus was quite impressive. I would not have had such restraint casting sunfall.

Hi Corey congratulations on winning vs commander and you straight up barfed on the board with coils and Koma’s lol
What do you think about authority of the consuls in the SB against aggro and forge?
It kicks butt in the main board. This deck is unbeatable now
@ how many do you play mainboard and what do you take out?
Yeah I’m a believer in that card for sure. Going to test it out but can’t imagine it’s not great.
Exorcise is also good vs Oculus, because its exiling all of big creature plus founding

Maybe the white overlord would be good.
But beza is amazing

Authority of councils takes up another notch. It’s unbearable.

Algorithm!!!! CoreyBMTG demands your attention!!
Not all hero’s wear capes! (Unless of course you are wearing a cape) 😂
@ it’s more of a robe, actually
Close enough!
try out selesnia artifacts, deck goes so hard
I have so far been lucky everytime ive played red deck against this and was able to shut of life gain early against them
Nice! It’s like a 80 20 matchup in favor of white so nice job if you are winning!
@CoreyBMTG it might be making me too comfortable all 4 time I've played i was able to see the screaming nemesis and shock it to turn off life gain
