  • The first plan was to restore this Pétanque boule, which I thought was completely solid, but soon I began to feel that its density did not match the iron metal it was made of, so I decided to cut it in half to discover what was inside.

FYI that is a cheap Chinese made 'leisure' boule. The better quality French made leisure boules and of course, competition boules - which are made to a more rigorous specification - are completely hollow. The metal - which is carbon steel, not iron - used is thicker and therefore stronger. Interesting video!

Leisure french bowls are PURE SHIT....BUT THEY ARE EMPTY AND NO DANGEROUS... !!!! BUY ONLY A TRUE TRIPLETTE HOMOLOGUATED BY FIPJP... you become owner of TRUE QUALITY BOWLS ABLE TO LAST A LIFETIME (hard 45 hrc ..the less expansives among competition bowls are in more the most durable ! why buy shit piece in area or durability of purchase is essential. )

These things have been known to explode when exposed to heat. I wonder if the filler material has a different expansion coefficient than the metal, or even a moisture content that might be the reason?

I wonder how on earth they cast the aluminium around it or get it inside? Cut more things in half! 🧡

Don't think it's aluminium. Iron or Steel perhaps?

    Don't watch!
This drama queen takes over 4 minutes just to get to the "cutting it in 1/2" action and doesn't even open the ball until 5:47.
Huge waste of time. He crammed 1 minute of content into a 7:15 minute video.
