      @@ARDEXUK I haven't needed to. I seems to be the perfect choice everytime. Smooth flowing, smooth finish. Just need a cheaper supplier lol. I always stick to what proves itself and just like the my favourite flooring manufacturer for 20 years, Quickstep, I can only recommend NA for my jobs. Thank you

    Those bays look at most, 1.5x1.5m (2.25 square meters) and you're using a whole bag and bottle, it would be hard not to get it flat at over double the thickness of a standard 3mm screed, use a bag for 2 bays and I might be impressed

    arditex na on the bag it says use aggregate on 8mm and above and you mention it can go on at 12mm. is na ok for doing just filling some low points to just level your floor for tiling .good video

    I wish I had watched this earlier in our renovations. Have exactly the problem described with asbestos mastic now covered in paper and then plaster splatter. Is it absolutely necessary to scrape that back? If so, will have to get some professionals in to do it safely.

    • @ARDEXUK
      @ARDEXUK  Год назад

      The Asbestos is generally found within Marley tiles. Providing they have been removed safely, the loose adhesive residues should not require specialist removal. If concerned please seek the advice of a specialist. For more info, call our technical team on 01440 714939

      ARDEX UK that’s possible. On the other hand, it might not be level enough to the tolerance I have to work to which is why I always drop packers in my floor and ping a laser round.

    A builder has recommended this ardex na to level my garage floor, its slopes down from the back wall to the garage door. It's about 5.4m long and between 0 and 3m it slopes about 1.5cm then from that point it slopes badly from 1.5cm to 4.5cm so the entire floor slopes from 0 to 4.5cm over 5.4m. What's the best way to get it levelled in order to be able to use it as a gym floor. Thanks

    • @02rtjawn
      @02rtjawn 3 года назад

      No. You need a buffer with a coating removal attachment.

    Do bubbles ever form in cured Ardex screed?

    • @ARDEXUK
      @ARDEXUK  3 года назад

      Thanks for getting in touch. They shouldn't, but pinholes can sometimes appear if the subfloor hasn't been primed. Were you screeding a particularly absorbent subfloor, and which ARDEX product did you use?

  • @garywoods4650
    @garywoods4650 3 года назад

    do you need any shuttering if going up to kitchen units but not under them, or does it hold by itself. Also, can you do the floor in two separate halfs, as quick dry time, or has it got to be one continous slab

    • @ARDEXUK
      @ARDEXUK  3 года назад

      Hi, the levelling compound will flow out and stop, but you can use ARDEX foam tape or similar to make a bay. It's best to do the area in one go and if you are worried about working time, give ARDEX K 39 a try. Fresh mixes can be poured into existing material up to 40 minutes later.

    • @user-kl1tl1gj5l
      @user-kl1tl1gj5l Год назад

      @@ARDEXUK Can Ardex K39 be placed on top of a layer of Ardex NA? I have a sub-floor with some area of mastic that will need NA to bond. But also, for the final surface, as doing DIY, would benefit from the longer working time of Ardex K 39. Is it possible to combine the products in that way? Also, is K39 ok to go over the damp proof layer?

    • @ARDEXUK
      @ARDEXUK  Год назад

      @@user-kl1tl1gj5l We don't recommend applying a levelling compound of greater compressive strength on top of one which has a lower compressive strength. ARDITEX NA's low compressive strength means we would only recommend NA layered on top

    What product is recommended if the desired outcome is not to have another layer on top but just paint? i.e no tiles or laminate. The existing floor is concrete but is not level. The room is a kitchen/living area.

    • @ARDEXUK
      @ARDEXUK  3 года назад +1

      Hi Rebecca, most ARDEX Levelling Compounds aren’t designed for use as a wearing surface, but ARDEX K 80 or ARDEX K 301 have been specially formulated for resurfacing and levelling existing concrete floors to give a hard, smooth, flat, wearing surface or as a base for suitable paint and resin coatings.
