Digging the dyed rings with stainless screws. I dyed my last set but didn't change the screws. After watching this video I'm gonna order 160 stainless screws for my new set. Thanks for the video!
i waited so long for the right rims and tires badlands perfect and did die them like yours and stainless screws thanks for that info so so happy with that look it took all almost 5 hours
thanks to guys like you my rc world is great man your a big help with the stainless screws and how to dye the rings thanks my friend to the badlands we go
Chris 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 WOW !!! Your truck is looking absolutely amazing beadlocks came out 💰💰💰💰 Chris thanks for Sharing you my friend are definitely making it happen
it's going to take a little while, to watch and like all of your video's,but you have my word,in time I will watch them all, have to keep in mind, that I also put out video's,but I'll be watching in my free time, you will know, since I always comment in one way or another.
Damn they look Awesome Chris they set the X-MAXX off real nice, we are way behind here in Australia and the postage from the USA is a bit to high, the Proline rep here says the end of next month so fingers crossed. Thanks for sharing that with us it's always a pleasure watching your channel 2 big thumbs up.
I know Its hard being in your part of the world but at least you have nice weather almost all year around! Thanks for watching and your support! You'll get them one day my friend!
Mr Chris awesome video bro, you are always a great source of information. the beadlocs look outstanding my friend.. I will definitely be getting a set for mine..
Thanks bro I appreciate it. They definitely make awesome products and make sure to use my discount code to save. It can be found in the description box
Yea I know the video is old, I just ordered the screws from amazon, free shipping. I looked at another web site where the screws were from Rivercity Fastener Supply, they wanted $25 shipping for a $13 package, don't think so.
They came out great I painted my wheels too and when I put the screws back I thought I did everything right now my truck is drifting to the left. Any suggestions thank you.
Hey what’s up.? I used the silicone oil on the screw holes to allow better tightening. I went with a snug fit. If you see the headlock ring start to deform from over tightening. 👍✌️
Another quick question??? After dying the bead locks .... did you rinse them with water? Or did you let them air dry? Thanks again and keep up the great work.... I'll send you a pic of mine once I'm done
I love the color! I would love to try. My question is, do you continue to heat the water while the rings are in the dye? Or do you almost bring to a boil and shut heat off? I am just scared to melt the rings. Thank you.
Thanks bro. You basically get the water to almost boiling so it’s steaming the way that I showed in the video and you keep the heat on it. Just monitor the temperature and make sure it doesn’t get too hot and after a while if you’d like you can turn off the heat and just let them sit in there
EVERY DAY RC , LOVE YOUR SHOW !!! I ve got one question I love that mini power screw driver for hobbiests, I have never seen before online or in stores where can I but this thing???? Thank Chris any think info will help .. Thanks Stephen
What's up everyday rc! Beautiful video! Loved the proline badlands mx43 question? Can you died the rims too???? And what's the parts to died them? And the bolts you said in your video?
ah the joy of undoing and re fitting 160 screws, the blue with the stainless screw look the part👍 if you don't mind me asking what we're you adding a dab of silicone oil to holes? I've never herd or seen this before, great video .
Helps lube it up! Lol. Just helps putting some lube on the screws so that when they go into the plastic they can all be tightened around the same amount and there’s no resistance.
The amount of dye that you use Depends on the amount of water. Depends on how light or dark you want the color to be. I believe I used two full bottles for this. And when you want to dye something black depending on the amount of water you use you might need to use two bottles
thank you so much. trying it out as we speak but can't get the color to stick on test plastic pcs. Im trying to do green. bought the it dye as you used. only poured a little of it in the pot. and about 2 cups of water
Hey man I was going to ask you are you running the new 1275KV motor or the original 1600KV motor. I have been following you videos since you purchased the X maxx. I have the original 6S X maxx and am deciding whether to sell mine and get the 8S version or spending $600+ to do get the 8S upgrade kit from traxxas. Great video I like the rit dye option once they come in stock again I'm picking some up for whatever option I go with.
Nice job on the stainless hardware and rit die! I see you have experienced with stock, mad max and these proline wheels. I just blew up a stock wheel and I'm looking for a replacement set. I've heard the prolines are heavy, have you weighed all 3 wheels? Rotational mass is a concern for me since I have a 6s model and haven't upgraded any on the drivetrain but run a max 6 esc. I'm worried that too heavy of a tire might start tearing up the drivetrain.
Hi every day R/C's yes sorry I had paused it when I sent you a comment so yes I did see the whole video I'm gonna be ordering those stainless steel screws too good job thanks
Hey MIKE! You can use this method for any light color dyable plastic! The more pores the plastic has the deeper it will penetrate! They will not fade but if it scuffs it might show the user color but like i said it depends on how deep the color penetrates! Thanks for watching and your support!
Sorry but stainless stell screws are rarly an upgrade. Ther usually A2 grade which means cheese steel. They easily bend or strip. Its a mod at best. But high tensile is always better.
Stainless steel Screws for me is an upgrade in appearance and prevents rust. Correct they are not high tensile like black oxidized but I drive my vehicles in wet environments and it keeps the appearance of the vehicle looking good. If you go to River city Fastener and supply you will see that these are made of a high quality stainless steel and for the use on bead locks they will not have any type of durability issues. Most of my vehicles are converted to stainless steel and I do not have any issues. My sons Traxxas Slash Has seen plenty of abuse bashing and on the track and I don’t have any issues with stainless steel screws and on top of it all I am currently building a top-of-the-line TLR racing kit that is supplied with full stainless steel screws.
it's too bad these tires are sold out everywhere I would love to get a pair to replace my blown out stock 8's tires do you know where they may have them in stock?
i have all i need to build a bad ass xmaxx i will for real buy the rims and tires they look great and will not blow up thats all need 8s thats crazy fast but the badlands are what i need and then build time i will not do my build unless i have everything i need its not a toy and i want it right just need the rims and tires and will go fore it
Thanks! My tires will finally arrive tomorrow. I order them on April 4th. Pro-Line some how messed up my order. I called them last week and the guy was like ill have someone put them together and will ship the next day. Lol!
Once they get here tomorrow. Im going to take them apart. Im in the process of ordering the screws as we speak. Im still thinking if im going to dye them. I have to see if it looks good with my Red and Back themed Freddy Krueger show body. If not I'll dye them Red tomorrow.
I clicked on price...100 bucks per tire?... Haha.. What a rip-off. Only idiots would pay that.. You can buy real tires for a real car for 100 bucks each
I put the shock oil on the screw holes to assist with tightening the screws. I felt that they were going in very tight and it was hard to get the right amount of torque on every screw so that would be like rings would sit flat.
KNK makes great screws FYI... Mike is VERY quick to reply and one of the best stainless guys out there.. He makes the kits as well!
That’s cool I will have to check it out thanks for watching
Trying neon green. 20 min in so far and not feeling like they're gonna get to neon. Hope so... I'll let y'all know after an hour
Make It Happen! 😃🙌✌️🤞
This is what you call a quality video

Thanks Keith! Finishes off the look.
Looks Great 👍👍👍
Where did you order the stainless bead lock screws?
I think I said it in the video and link might be in description. RIVER CITY FASTNER AND SUPPLY
www.ebay.com/itm/152537898229
Great job! Love that blue accent!
Thanks for watching and the input! Im happy with them for sure~
Yea I know the video is old, I just ordered the screws from amazon, free shipping. I looked at another web site where the screws were from Rivercity Fastener Supply, they wanted $25 shipping for a $13 package, don't think so.

This is where I got them from. 17$ free shipping 160 count
Jazzy looking rig you have there dude!!
Thanks Good Brother~ !Thanks for watching and your support!
It is so common that people like ballooning tires and then complain when their tires don't last. Want to make tires last longer? Stop the ballooning.
Very true! Thanks for Watching!
They came out great I painted my wheels too and when I put the screws back I thought I did everything right now my truck is drifting to the left. Any suggestions thank you.
Thanks. Hmm the only thing I can think of is check your steering trim. Could also be that your tires are unbalanced now for some reason.
Hey bud I just did exactly what you did but I'm wondering how tight should the screws be? I seen a proline video but it was pretty much no help.
Hey what’s up.? I used the silicone oil on the screw holes to allow better tightening. I went with a snug fit. If you see the headlock ring start to deform from over tightening. 👍✌️
i love your vids i really wish i could afford these rcs but for now i have the s912
Cant see it on my phone what does he put in the beedlock screw holes?
Just a dab of silicone oil to help insert the screws so they will all tighten at the same rate
they look sick bro 👍
Thanks! Im happy with them for sure!
Nice video
Thanks for watching and your support!
hey you should look up the russian indestructible x-maxx body. it's badass!
Is that because of the steering, the tyres would rub on the chassis full lock?
Looks great man!
Thanks! I appreciate it!
good stuff man! hope one day i can get one of this beast!
YOUY will love it! Thanks for watching and your support!
Very cool video sir!
Thanks for watching!
Looks awesome man! Dang
Thanks for watching and your support!
Just monitor the temperature and make sure it doesn’t get too hot and after a while if you’d like you can turn off the heat and just let them sit in there
The hot water don’t mess with the plastic can you send me the link for the stainless screws please thank u
Just Google search "M3 x 20mm socket head cap stainless steel screws". They are cheap. No more than $10 for 100.
Tks.
EVERY DAY RC , LOVE YOUR SHOW !!! I ve got one question I love that mini power screw driver for hobbiests,
I have never seen before online or in stores where can I but this thing???? Thank Chris any think info will help
.. Thanks Stephen
Looks alot better!
Thanks TOM! Ill be hitting you up soon!
I've never herd or seen this before, great video
.
Thanks for Watching bro! The silicone is to help inserting the screws and setting them at the right torque !
EVERYDAY RC Oh interesting I'm going to try this when I put some new shoes on the baja.
Nice update
Thanks GIO!
What the reason for the sock oil be for in stalling the rings?
Lol the easter egg soup 1:22
that looks sick!
Thanks for watching and your support!
how many bolts for mx43 i have got my birthday gift last month on Friday some putting my xmaxx
Good stuff bro 👍🏼
Thanks for watching and your support!
When dying the wheels do you need to use the entire bottle ?
Yes and depending on how dark you want it you might have to use 2 bottles
@@EVERYDAYRC not looking to go that dark just blue enough to match the blue on the wide kit.
looking good man!!
Thanks for Watching f
Looks great.
Thanks for watching and your support!
This looks so good, thanks for the video. I’m having trouble finding the info for the screw size to get. What did you go with?
I showed it all in this video. Did you watch it thoroughly. They are M 3 x 20 socket cap screws. Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed the video
I knew it was an M3 X 20mm, I thought there was another number for getting the matching thread count. 👍🏻✌🏻
And yeah, I don’t know how I missed your screw section in the video🤷🏻♂️. Thanks again
What are you using the oil for?
Is silicone oil was just used as an assist to put the screws through the tires to make everything lubricated. 😊✌️
How many do we need for just the outside?
why the shock oil on the screw holes?
Helps lube it up! Lol. Just helps putting some lube on the screws so that when they go into the plastic they can all be tightened around the same amount and there’s no resistance.
looking good man:)
Thanks bro!
EVERYDAY RC your welcome Chris
SUPER
Will these fit on a traxxas udr with the body removed?
No Unfortunately not
do you pour the whole bottle of dye in the pot? and how long were they in there? thanks
Im trying to do green. bought the it dye as you used. only poured a little of it in the pot. and about 2 cups of water
why did u use the shock oil on the holes
Great video !!! I am going to try the red dye. A quick question?? Why are you using the 40 wt shock oil?
Thanks for watching! Red should look great! Im using the silicone shock oil to lubricate the crews so its easier to torque them
Red won’t work. It ends up purple. Go to my page to see how to paint them. It works great!
You needed that color on the rims brotha, nice whip!
Thanks Mike! I know right?!! Look way better! One Luv!
Yes Sir!
I can't find the screws what kind are they again

Awesome thanks I could not find em on there website
Glad you found them.
What size are the screws? Thanks
M3x20 socket cap screws. All the info is in the video and description box
EVERYDAY RC thank you for responding so fast!!!
No prob😊👍
Hey man I was going to ask you are you running the new 1275KV motor or the original 1600KV motor. I have been following you videos since you purchased the X maxx. I have the original 6S X maxx and am deciding whether to sell mine and get the 8S version or spending $600+ to do get the 8S upgrade kit from traxxas. Daniel Ruelas still the original 1600kv thanks for watching and the support!
Thanks for watching and your feedback. The prolines should work fine. They don’t balloon. Even on 6S should not be a problem.
Thanks for the reply!
Awesome!! build, where did you get the SS screws? thanks!!
+Gio's R/C's did you watch the video? I said where.
Hi every day R/C's yes sorry I had paused it when I sent you a comment so yes I did see the whole video I'm gonna be ordering those stainless steel screws too good job thanks
That's very interesting that you could just dye parts of the rim. Does the dye ever fade? The truck looks good man.
Hey MIKE! You can use this method for any light color dyable plastic! The more pores the plastic has the deeper it will penetrate! They will not fade but if it scuffs it might show the user color but like i said it depends on how deep the color penetrates! Thanks for watching and your support!
www awesome Brother I wanna buy the tires also from Proline Thank you Sir Edwards and so When You Give the Colors wat voor plant is this 👍👍👌
Glad you enjoyed brother! Thanks for watching and your support!
Howd you get your beadlocks so bright mine have a flat blue look??
you might have used too much dye
nice one
Thanks for watching!
Do they make the hardware in black not chrome finish?
of course. The hardware that comes with the wheels are oxidized.
Sorry but stainless stell screws are rarly an upgrade. Ther usually A2 grade which means cheese steel. They easily bend or strip. Its a mod at best. But high tensile is always better.

EVERYDAY RC that's the plan I check twice every day!
I called proline and ordered a set they are backordered 2-3 weeks
I got then on Wednesday finally had a chance to run then omg they are great! they should sell the xmaxx with these tires!
i have all i need to build a bad ass xmaxx i will for real buy the rims and tires they look great and will not blow up thats all need 8s thats crazy fast but the badlands are what i need and then build time i will not do my build unless i have everything i need its not a toy and i want it right just need the rims and tires and will go fore it
Thanks for watching and your support!
What's the shock oil for??
To lubricate the screws so its easier to get the proper Torque spec Thanks for watching!
M3-05 x 20? how many screws in total?
160 TOTAL! 40 each tire, 80 in the front and 80 in the rear=160 ! Thanks for watching bro!
Thanks! My tires will finally arrive tomorrow. I order them on April 4th. Pro-Line some how messed up my order. I called them last week and the guy was like ill have someone put them together and will ship the next day. Lol!
Luis L.P. RC's that's awesome you will love them! They told me the same thing!! Check your screws!
Once they get here tomorrow. Im going to take them apart. Im in the process of ordering the screws as we speak. Im still thinking if im going to dye them. I have to see if it looks good with my Red and Back themed Freddy Krueger show body. If not I'll dye them Red tomorrow.
number 213 on the likes
It's plastic or metal
Mostly plastic
$100 per wheel...
gmax876
Just clicked on price.... X4 tires... 400 bucks..... Haha.... I could buy 4 tires for my GFs Honda for 400... What a joke
lololololol... They aren't 100 per tire lol smh
I clicked on price...100 bucks per tire?... Haha.. What a rip-off. Only idiots would pay that.. You can buy real tires for a real car for 100 bucks each
You dumb sh*t it's not 100 bucks per tire... Know what you're talking about before you open ya mouth fool...
Ugh the music made my ears bleed 😒🤦♂️
Oh well , can’t make everyone happy 🤷♂️
Why the shock oil on each tire screw hole?
I put the shock oil on the screw holes to assist with tightening the screws. I felt that they were going in very tight and it was hard to get the right amount of torque on every screw so that would be like rings would sit flat.
How long did you soak the rims in dye?
Keep water warm not hot. Maybe half an hour until I feel like the color is dark enough
How many bottles are u using
I believe I used 2 full bottles to be on the safe side. Wanted a darker color
Why the shock oil in the holes?
Less friction. Got to lube the holes! 😉👍
@@EVERYDAYRC I'm just thinking about screws backing out on the track...
