Medieval Spain and Portugal are just so beautifully rich! And I don't just mean monetarily rich by a long shot, but rather rich culturally. The music, the painting, the weapons, the erudition... It's all flipping gorgeous! What I would give to have witnessed the fall of Granada!

Not to mention that the visigothic laws were in use for much of the Christian successor states in Iberia, which was one of the most progressive laws in Europe ever, which granted rights to women. These laws would eventually form into the basis of Spanish law and pretty much laws through Western Europe.

The Catholic Monarchs of Spain are the grandparents of all the important Royal Houses of Europe. Isabel was probably the woman who had the greatest impact on World History.

Also I had a question related to the reconquista, wasn't there this Spanish king before Isabela and Ferdinand who rode his horse on the beach of Cadiz or Gibraltar I can't remember proclaiming that Spain would be reconquered one day. I think I remember you recounting this in one of your videos but I can't find it, can you tell me which one it is?

Great video, and the new footage looks awesome. Altought the Medieval 1212 mod cover from the 13th to the 15th centuries there are other mods from other expansion packs that can cover other time periods, like the reconquista.
Isabella of Castile was a remarkable queen who defended her nation from foreign & local enemies. Sadly, not all her decrees were accomplished by her subjects. She called that Indigenous people were treated as equals, but they did the opposite.
I imagine a cool movie about the fall of Grenada and the end scene could be a Courtier telling Ferdinand that a man from Genoa was hear to see him and it is Christopher Columbus.
The Graphics are really stunning !! Probably his creators must have spent a whole lot of hours designing, planning, colouring and animating. Hats off to everyone involved. Totally Awesome and Mind Blowing !!!!
The total war footage has got pretty good. If you are not using the kingdoms 1212AD mod it has pretty decent and varied unit models. Thanks for your content.

I'm interested in the topic but I find it disconcerting 2 have 2 go through so many very very short vids with breaks in between. I just think it would serve ur purposes better if the usual format of 44 min were 2 b followed at least 2 ensure continuity. But after all what do I know? Off I go 2 start slogging through Pre - Crusades 8 - 11th Century. Onward and upward!! Cheers
