Wish they would give console players a fov slider

Wider FOV means considerably more things for the GPU to calculate & render. Consoles have limited processing power compared to PCs (thus their lower price). Devs benchmark their games for optimal performance vs fidelity and usually on consoles they lock it down. So, I don’t see such addition coming anytime soon on consoles.
I understand but I mostly ment on newer consoles and I do know that destiny 2 and cod has that setting and I just feel like fallout 76 could run the fov slider on PS5 and Xbox X
Bethesda already has 3 dev branches for F76. PC/Xbox/PS. Latest-gen consoles probably could handle a wider FOV, but what you are mentioning is splitting the 2 console dev branches in two. One for prev-gen & one for current-gen. This creates huge amounts of work for every new patch to be released.
F76 is already an 8 years old game. The only thing keeping it alive is that it’s “live service” and thus can still generate some revenue to keep it running (along with the failure of Starfield). But investing in more development branches is probably not worth it for Bethesda at this point.
It's almost like they should drop last gen consoles and focus on modern machines that aren't 15 years old, or whatever. Ps5 specs are considerably better than most people's PCs and it is a very focused machine and not purpose-built for general use.
The problem here is support for last gen garbage. That must mean a large chunk of their revenue comes from players on last gen consoles which says more about the state of gaming than all the crashes of an 8 year old game on ps5, which is absolutely pathetic
Along with the update they need to give consoles a FOV slider

I'm sure we will get a date tomorrow at the xbox showcase. It seems like the best time to show it and a trailer.
Based on the last few weeks, I'm going to buck the trend and say it's going to be a sneaky Thursday release.
i totally agree with you, it's probably the 25th. there is the xbox showcase tomorrow, june 9th, and im pretty sure they'll announce the exact date of season 17 there.

So, to sum it up: The update will release either this Tuesday, the next, or the one coming later in June as already announced. 🤔

The announcement that the next big update & map expansion/DLC is coming in June was officially published a long time ago.
The fact that the game receives updates mainly on Tuesdays (due to technical reasons) is well known to everybody.
This leaves us with 3 Tuesdays remaining in June. As I said: This one, the next, or the one following.
Let them take their time to work it out. Rather have it later then sooner if it means it would work smoother and has less bugs

I highly doubt it will be released the same day as Fasnacht start. It will not make perfect sense.
It would be perfect, fasnachts gonna bring alot of players online and so is the new season

25th is also the fasnacht so imo its unlikely considering they like to force new events on the hour for like 2 week period - it is tight but 11th would make most sense in that case

Its this Tuesday June 12th they just announced it
June 25th is gonna be the update day, since there will be a double score weekend the Thursday-Monday before.
Also it was mentioned a while ago it would be June 25th.
We had a surprise double score a week ago, its probably a reason for that.
As a returning player and adult who have full time job and family, im still prety far from completing current season. I'm trying to do all the daily and weekly challenges but only at level 50+ as of now, so i really hope for double xp week before new season. For me 25th is best date for update.
According to “Explore” on PS5, Skyline Valley is coming on the 12th
I kind of hoped there'd be more Vault Tec seasons coming up or more rewards from the show like the ghouls gun or buy a different version of Lucy's backpack

as far as i know there is no plan for excavator jetpack, i think they are all legacy items since there was way to add jetpack for excavator due to bug with hellcat jetpack (i think it was bug or some sort of oversight by Bethesda) while back but i think it's not possible anymore, and they are likely not obtainable anymore (if someone knows more about this, feel free to correct me)
My guess is they will move Fasnacht and it will be the 25th. They will release an updated calendar tomorrow.
They just announced it will be June 12th
We just had a double score weekend along with caps a plenty on May 23 to 27. It wasn't on the calendar but it did happen. (You can see it on Addiction Gaming's live stream from the 24th if you have any doubts). This makes me convinced that Tuesday June 11 will start the new season because the announcement will happen Sunday the 9th at the Xbox Summer Games Showcase event.
I think the same something for xbox to drop after the Sunday showcase.

Imma be real. The 25th is an L of a date if they do that, imagine launching your biggest expansion to date and pitting it against the biggest DLC of the year: Elden Ring. Its like they dont want high player numbers
That game is so hard that Elden Ring hurts itself more by not adding a difficulty setting instead of Fallout 76 having a 25 June release. Even with the DLC, Elden Ring is too hard for casual gamers, unlike FO76.

I think the 25th, they wouldn't shorten the season after launching the new "season" to 150
I'm already working on my fourth character shotgun / handgun build.. The other three are between levels of 450 and 500. Story content is slow, short and minor in this game, it's painful.
We might know after the XBox showcase on the 9th. Given Microsoft's studio closure and layoff announcements they would want as many positive announcements as possible. Fasnacht might throw a spanner into the works for the 25th - a lot of people AFK for the duration which would potentially impact the update's release.
If people aren't attending those events due to being AFK at Fasnacht it gives Bethesda less things to be able to publicise in terms of the update bringing people to the game (new and old.) The double score was planned earlier on but plans can change but if the new season started on the 12th there'd be a lot of unhappy campers.

Nukaknights' website says 25th. And has for better part of a month as far as i know. But hes also had pretty solid track record as far as ive seen

To be more specific what Nukaknight's site says: "We currently do not have an official date for the update, but due to the double score weekend on June 20th and the necessary update before the next Fasnacht event (to activate the changes), the update can currently be expected on June 25th"
But yea 25 would make most sense, 11 would be too early, 18 could be possibility but it would be weird for double score to be activated just after the update rather than before the end of the current season.

Not only are you wrong but at the time you posted this comment they had already announced it was coming out on the 12. Giving us all a nice 3 day notice to finish the season :)
