You made my day. Thank you sincerely for this video. I can not express how useful this is to me. I bought a book for my mother's birthday and I wanted to give it to her, but the god damned thing was tied to my account.
I had bought Warbreaker on Google Play before buying my own kindle. Now I want to read this book on my kindle but I didn't want to buy it again. Thanks to you, I can finally load the book in my kindle!
Thank you so much! It worked exactly as shown. I like to do my bedtime reading on my phone rather than my kindle as it's less cumbersome and it's infuriating that I can't do that with the books I've bought and paid for. Huge thanks to the developer too if they happen to read this!
Thanks! Somehow it worked in the end even for Google Books, thru the Addobe tool. Just pressed to convert, without any keys, and managed to extract and then upload to Ipad! Happy reading everyone!
For Kindle this only works if you are going to open the epub file on your Kindle e-reader. If you are using the Kindle app on a different device, then it doesn't work. You'll be able to download the epub file as a pdf, but the Kindle app won't open the epub file.
Many thanks for this. I got it to work! Slightly confusing bit about what to do with the ZIP file once it's downloaded. I tried adding the zip file as the plugin but got an error message. You first have to extract the contents of the ZIP file which gives you a couple of other zip files. It's one of those that you need depending on your reader. The final bit I had trouble with was the configuration of the plug-in once it's loaded. The video only show how to configure for Kindle. You get a totally different screen if you select Adobe Digital Edition ebooks (as I needed to for my Kobo). Still not entirely sure how I did it but I googled the solution and tried a few things - it asks for a key. I clicked on 'add key' and took the default that it offered.
@@MedianRay have you tried to re-import the book into Calibre once you've made the changes? It will not work on a book that was imported before the changes were made.
You're a legend and great tutorial. We have the same Andromeda Galaxy desktop background! Also I read some of the same books such as Yuval Noah Harari's books too. I will have to try out some of those atheism and personal growth books you have loaded into Calibre. Keep up the good work :)
As long as you transfer your own bought books to other devices for personal use, the DRM deletion won't result in legal consequences as a citizen in anyway, as long as you did not have distributed your copy to other people. The most they can do is the vendor banning you from their platform because of breaching their terms. So if the ebook costs 50 cent less in the amazon store, think twice next time.
Thanks, that has worked. I bought a few books on google play, but I don;t want to sit at the computer and read the book. I finally can take the books that I bought with me, on my kindle!
how did you get it to work for google books? when you click "customize DeDRM" which configuration did you choose? i tired adobe digital editions but it said default key could not be found, i also tried eReader and it asked me for a unique key id. what did you do?
This is very helpful but I can't unlock these PDFs! They are textbooks from my school called Box of Books and its locked not matter what i try help! :c
I don't have a kindle device. I have an amazon account and a pc e-reader device on my laptop. I can't unlock it using the steps offered. How do i configure the plugin and find *serial number*.
I have a small problem, I cancelled my am,zon account without thinking they would actually block all my eBooks from the app. So even though I payed for them, and have all the receipt the refuse to let me have them again. I do believe they were on my iPad, how can I retrieve them??? Thanks in advance...

*I have a Nook I use for reading ebooks I bought years ago and the Epub files of those books are saved on my external, and now I have a new kindle fire and I'm trying to put some of my recently converted Caliber mobi books on my Kindle fire, and they all gives me a DRM error, I'm starting to hate the Kindle fire now, because I cant add a single book to my library, never had this problem with my Nook, just convert copy and read, and it seems like no one has the answer on how to fix this issue, because I tried every step and Caliber does not work, I think it has to do with the new version of My Kindle fire.*
It’s kind of a gray area I think. I feel that if you purchase something you own it and can do what you want with it, ebook distributors seem to feel differently but I doubt that would hold up in court.
I have a better solution. Fat32 format does not support DRM. So, have a usb drive, format it to FAT32, load your book to the drive, and the DRM will be no longer supported, so it will be removed.
DRM locks are actually illegal! It's is the same thing as me selling you a car then telling you can't put someone elses brand of gas in it, or go get it repaired elsewhere f them
@@KnightOfEternity13 you still are not buying the book itself but a license. When you strip DRM, you just have stolen it but it doesn‘t change what you have bought.
So if i don't have a kindle then I can't unlock drm If I had a kindle I could just read my kindle ebook on my device so I wouldn't need to convert it to epub anyway. So this is a solution for what?

@@superrinus007 You download the any ebook converter (that's the name) and then You find an older version of the Amazon Kindle software for pc, I don't remember exactly which version but it can't be the current one Because it has better security, once You get an older version of Kindle you download your kindle ebooks in it and use the any ebook converter to convert them from Kindle to Epub, that should work, at least it did for me.

I can't access your link
ur the man
So this plugin to de-DRM requires you to know the key number? What a stupidity! If I knew it, I wouldn't bother using this. Uninstalled
Can't you simply open the Kindle reader on your iPad or your phone to read the book you bought for your paperwhite? Why remove the DRM?
So I can put it on a Nook. I have no intention of doing that but the whole concept of DRMs seems stupid to me in the first place.
Yo i don't have a kindle e-reader no mo. So no serial. SHeeeeeeeeit
i dont founded the serial in my android =( u can convert for me? hahaha
can't work for Kobo device :(
Yes it does work for Kobo. See the post I just left
DRM locks are actually illegal! It's is the same thing as me selling you a car then telling you can't put someone elses brand of gas in it, or go get it repaired elsewhere f them
Not exactly. Because you are not buying the book itself but a licence to read it. You never own the book.
@@Desert371 *unless you strip DRM
@@KnightOfEternity13 you still are not buying the book itself but a license. When you strip DRM, you just have stolen it but it doesn‘t change what you have bought.
So if i don't have a kindle then I can't unlock drm If I had a kindle I could just read my kindle ebook on my device so I wouldn't need to convert it to epub anyway. So this is a solution for what?
@@makc Oh yes I understand, I just was frustrated because I had spent money on a kindle ebook and wasn't able to read it on my kobo e-reader, but I found another solution. Thanks though
@@elhistoriero1227 Can you share that solution with me please? I also have a Kobo ereader and this method doesnt work because I dont have the Kindle Serial number. Thanx!
Your tutorial is all over the place could never follow
you son of a bitch what if i dont have a kindle or kindle ID
