I love the class 37's, I had a foot plate ride on 37401 Mary Queen of Scots a few years ago, a great experience.
I will need to visit the Wensleydale soon. The last Railway I was on was the Churnet Valley last year.

From Oz, I've been through Northallerton by rail but not on this preserved section.
Why weren't the gates closed and the stick pulled off prior to arrival?

I reckon it’s just how they do it, train comes into station then road cleared while passengers board 🤔
