Sunk a Mako3 this afternoon trying to play in a stupid, chilling northwest wind! If I only known of HDR (Hunter's Disc Recovery), I wouldn't be missing one of my favorites. Now I have to decide, buy another Mako3, or buy a Hex.
I was recently so motivated to recover my perfectly seasoned, old school 1st run, Discraft predator from a pond that I fabricated an eight ft wide rake with a 15 ft pole handle. After 3 separate attempts of roughly an hour or so each time I finally saw that beautiful pink rim come to the surface and couldn't have been happier to clean her off and return her to my bag.
The longest I've spent looking for a disc is about an hour. It was a seasoned to be dead straight Glow Champ Savant. I lost it on the last hole at Nevin Park about a week before the DGPT Championship in October. I thought with all the foot traffic and the pros being in town that someone would locate my disc and call me. Well, no such luck. Fast forward to March and I'm in a new local disc shop that opened up(Down 4 Disc Golf) they had just installed a used section. I wasn't going to go through the used section but glanced over and there it was sitting on the used rack. I ended up getting my disc back after all. I was so happy when I found it. Going to play at North Cove tomorrow. Thanks for the videos.
@@tossingplastic Hunter, as I mentioned, I sunk my Mako3. I'm looking to replace it with a pretty straight mid. If you were only going to have one mid (not likely) to use for tunnel and other shots, would you go Kotuku, Piwakawaka, Hex, or something else?
@@alanlundberg4534 definitely hex but I throw pretty aggressive, for most is may not be a super straight flyer, maybe go not max wait and a less stable plastic. I have friends with the same as mine and they struggle to keep it straight

I have spent an hour in one evening plus a 1/2 hour the following morning to find a misplaced disc.
I did not locate it sadly!
Hopefully you have your name and number on the disc and a good person finds it and returns it.
