- "VEDIC MATHEMATICS", which has a list of mathematical tricks to solve maths calculations faster than traditional methods. It gives the easiest way to solve addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and related problems. Vedic mathematics can applied to pneumatics, statics, astronomy, and the financial domain
Square root Tricks:
The square root of a number is the inverse operation of square of number.
Example
Number Square of the number Square root of the number
6^2 6 × 6 = 36
√36=6
Number Square
1^2= 1
2^2= 4
3^2= 9
4^2= 16
5^2= 25
6^2= 36
7^2= 49
8^2= 64
9^2= 81
Square Number ending with following number Square root ends with following number
1 1 or 9
4 2 or 8
5 5
6 4 or 6
9 3 or 7
Number:

Step
39 | 69 Grouping: from right to left
38 is greater than 36, the perfect square number of 62, and 69 is lesser than 64, which is a perfect square number of 82
3600 | 6400
602 | 802 Therefore the given number lies between 3600 and 6400 that means there square number will be between 60 and 80
So the first number in the square root will be 6
The number in the units places is 9 so the square number should be ending with 3 or 7 (as discussed above)
The square root of the given number should be either 63 or 67
Applying digit sum method to find the square root
63 = 3969
(6 + 3) = 3+9+6+9
9 = 2 + 7
9 = 9 So the square root of number 3969 is 63

@@gyanletechlo8975 Just find the squares of numbers in 10s. like 100, 400, 900, 1600,2500.. then the given number must lie between the squares of any of these two numbers and then as we get two options as per the trick he gave, see if the number is more toward the higher limit or lower limit and so does the numbers value. For example, 1521 is less than 40^2 but more than 30^2. so it must lie between 30-40. As 1521 is more towards 40 than 30, the root is 39

2,3,4 are correct for me but the first one is coming 31
Because
Last digit is 1 is square of 1 and 9
But first 2 digits is 15 and this number is so close of 1. 15 very far of 81
1 is square of 1 and 9 so last digit will be 1 or 9 now 21 is cancelled. 15 comes between squares of 3 and 4 so answer will be either 31 or 39, now 15 is closer to square of 4 (16) not square of 3 (9) so answer will be 39

Sir i also have a trick to calculate the square roots of imperfect squares.
For example:-
if i want the value of √17 .
I will find the perfect square near 17 , that is 16 ,which is the square of 4.
Then, i will divide 17 by 4
that is 4.25 and
now, the last step,
i will calculate the average of
4.25 and 4
And, the final answer is 4.125
Note:- take only 2 decimal places!
