+Jonathan yagami He was cool here and on the other early Strato-albums. But honestly nowadays i think he's pretty awkward. His songs sound very predictable and similar too. In the beginning he was more progressive. I think the new stratovarius line-up have taken that progressiveness to the next level.
@@ThordMoller Stratovarius and Timo Tolkki's writing was at the top of their game in the late 90's. After the 20's it started to go downhill... Stratovarius is great, but the late 90's just were magical for the band.
The better times of their songs (to me)!!!!! Tolkki singing and playing, that's like magic!!!!! I love the other albuns too, but the 3 firts are the essence of their music!!!!!
Why do you stare at me? It's hard to please when you're Feeling ill at ease Hey let it go You have feelings inside let them show Grim craven mind Timid all the time Can't come out of your shell It's hell Shame on you There are so many things that you could do Hey can't you see? esta etapa de strato fue genial..es definitivamente mi favorita....kotipelto es un gran cantante pero ...no se en esta etapa hacian mas interledes en als rolas
I would have rocked my ass off there, had I been born earlier....gladly I've seen the band later on beginning from '97, some 15 times...and I've been rocking in this same rock club for several times since 2003...and done over 50 road trips to metal shows in Tampere!
Though I'm keen on Fourth Dimension and Episode, I've always enjoyed Timo Tolki far better on vocals, and watching the old line-up gigging together just gives me the goosebumps!! Thx for the post Hail from Brazil
This was a time when Finnish heavy metal was in its early years. Sarcofagus had made their first proto-metallic impressions some 10 years before this and Tarot had released their mighty debut album only 6 years ago, Stratovarius had released their first LP only 3 years ago and Amorphis' debut album was released in 1992...so yeah, the early years of Finnish metal, before Stratovarius, Amorphis and Nightwish made it a global phenomenon.
***** This isn't even slightly similar to Traditional heavy metal. This is really just 80s power metal (thrash/80s speed metal fusion.) I was drawing attention to this being a lot heavier and grittier than their newer material.
Diogo Vilela They were at the end. You can never tell by a crows reaction if they are just staring and watching. It either means the music sucks and they feel like their time is wasted or they are observing the band closely and mesmerized and is hooked strong, just enjoying the music alone. Usually newcomers do that, if they headbang, usually it means they know the band's music.
Speed of light live is amazing. Do you play guitar btw? If you have played any later Stratovarius song, you'll know they may seem very easy but there are some quite tricky parts in them that make them very Tolkki-esque. He has his own style and its quite interesting once you get down to the note by note analysis that he put alot of effort into having his own "style"
Saying that some parts of band discography is real is silly. How do you know when artist fulfilled his vision most accurate? This is just your subjective opinion. After all, I agree, new Stratovarius is uninspired shit. :P
I loved early Stratovarius but it was too much of a generic heavy metal band sounding. When I started to listen to this band years ago it was the Visions album that got me hooked, but still its great to hear the early stuff as it showed how it changed.

Yes, Tolkki sounds amazing on albums but his live performances have always slacked big time. Well, except in this video. I think any guitarist can sound good in albums because you can just edit the sound through the roof. Playing live is completely different, and if the guitarist can sound as good or better as in the album version, then I'd say he's quite good
@tammysyl Sad but true. I can't tolerate that much. He was cool at a good mood and then he is like a dick the next time. Amazing influencial guitar player but definitely kind of messed up in the head, literally.
Best Stratovarius era, best guitarist, and best singer! Long live the king TOLKKI!
🤝🤝🤝🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
The old stratovarius, these songs have a kind of a dark style, dark lyrics.
+Tato Blackhorseman Timo Tolkki is the real soul of Stratovarious a genius and most of his lyrics are dark
+Jonathan yagami He was cool here and on the other early Strato-albums. But honestly nowadays i think he's pretty awkward. His songs sound very predictable and similar too. that break is pure magic
Good old days. We love you, Timo. 🍻💪
WOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HAVE NEVER SEEN STRATOVARIUS LIVE WHEN TOLKI WAS THE SINGER,
THIS IS PURE GOLD FOR ME
Tolkki era como un mustaine.. Era buen cantante y ademas hace tremendos solos y riffs
True. But iam not sure about Mustaine
@@gondorcin 🤣👌🤝🍻
My final statement after 25 years: this is an epic classic of Finnish metal, a jewel that shines through the dark, across the decades! 🤘
I miss old Stratovarius and Tolkki 🤘😎 Early days we did have good rock and metal bands: Zero Nine, Stone, Airdash, Amorphis, Sentenced.. 🇫🇮
Thank You Tolkki for Giving us this Great Band. You will always Be Stratovarus To Me. Rock On With RR.
Igualmente
This is gold! Nice to see Timo Tolkki singing back then. Sounds great here!
kind of ironic none of these guys are in the band anymore
Timo tollki no webeen lo mejor lejos x favor
better say, tragic, no matter, anyway, Tolkki raised from the ashes with great stuff than daily Strat line-up cannot deal with
This line up should play again together
Serious? Not even the keyboardist?
I love Tolkki on vocals era Strato! The stuff with Kotipelto is good too, but i listen to Fright Night and Twilight Time way more than the others.
What a drummer!!! Brilliant so much better the jorg
Thank You Timo Tolkki For Giving us this Great Band. You will always be Stratovarius to me. Rock On with RR.
ruclips.net/video/Bjtf_igVhEg/видео.html He still have the voice but he need to practice a lot
The better times of their songs (to me)!!!!!

When Timo Tolkki loved old Savatage speech! \m/
GREAT live performance of a GREAT song.
Why do you stare at me?

Grim craven mind
Timid all the time
Can't come out of your shell
It's hell
Shame on you
There are so many things that you could do
Hey can't you see?
Love is a stream that endlessly flows in me

I love this song...
I love this perfomance...
I love Stratovarius!

Tolkki is a Genius
Excelente voz de timo mi guitarrista favorito
we love you time
we loved your great voice

Awesome Voice 👏👏
I still own the cd and it's still awsome
Though I'm keen on Fourth Dimension and Episode, I've always enjoyed Timo Tolki far better on vocals, and watching the old line-up gigging together just gives me the goosebumps!!
Thx for the post
Hail from Brazil
pretty cool to see Tolkki singing
Magical performance!
Awesome!!!!
This is Stratovarius.
Beautiful!!!!!
OMG best time of Stratovarius!!!!! great vid!!! Great performance!!!
This sounds a bit like Malmsteen, and I love this performance!
verdade
i love this line up
What a lively audience , my God !!
Not my fav from dreamspace, but really apreciatte the rarity and the HQ quality thanks a lot!!
This one is from Twilight Time, bro.
I would have gone absolutely crazy at this show... 🎸✨🤘

Ahhh, the badass old school Thrash version of Stratovarius =)
Thrash? You mean good, badass heavy metal.
***** This isn't even slightly similar to Traditional heavy metal. This is really just 80s power metal (thrash/80s speed metal fusion.) I was drawing attention to this being a lot heavier and grittier than their newer material.
Круто
🤘🤘
The purest form of gold Thanks guy for this fucking insane amazing post!
The guys at the audience seems to be very excited.

]-)ΣΔ†]-[ Fair enough.
+Woofspl chilll, I just make an observation.
Timo tolkki maestro
hard rock fase,best style ever
Muito foda o maestro e unico
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
the big tolkki in his times
wow, this is really cool, love early startovarius
che gruppo della madonna..
Awesome!
Whatching this in 2018 it still seems like you should have been blind in early 90's to not see the potential of Timo Tolkki
thank u! so rare. =)
Yea older strato!
Timohan laulaa kuin satakieli! Break and solo starts at 02:15.
Sweet!
Crowd, you don't represent us.
its paralysed
Violet but if it was toumas faking it up with his backing tracks and his dark looks they would go crazy
it's in TV show, probably not even band's fans..
@@Mikau-gb8uo that's right, but I couldn't be paralysed when my favorite band was right front of me!
search for future shock by stratovarius,
tolkki is singing in that video too =)
it's kinda ironic...that early stratovarius has it's own powermetal sound in this age of typical recycled/plastic powermetal/Prog era.
If it were nightwish and toumas playing with his backing tracks and quantizing they'd go nuts.how can they just stand there?
Speed of light live is amazing. Do you play guitar btw? Essa "formação Pink Floyd" era muito maneira.
Now this is the Real Stratovarius that I know, Love and still Miss not the Imposters which are now in the band
i don't think so
Saying that some parts of band discography is real is silly. How do you know when artist fulfilled his vision most accurate? This is just your subjective opinion. After all, I agree, new Stratovarius is uninspired shit. :P
Yes I think so they haven't been the same to me since Timo Tolkki left and no matter what Koltipelto want's us to believe.
perpetual61 I like tolkki voice better
Tolkki era la ley lml :'vv
3:53 LOL
@ManawydanFabLyr
but now theres more of him to love :)
Grant voice timo tolki
fuckin' audience, this is pure class
Timo has more effects on his mic than in his guitar rig lol
Very rare footage, do you have only this video or the whole performance?
great Tolkki
saben si hay videos de tolkki cantando el tema the Hands of time???
Tolkki podría cantar tranquilamente father time o speed of light y mejor que kotipelto!
man i love stratovarius, was the first metal i ever heard (Black Diamond), and i dont think they've relased an album i dont like - A-class band
Yok böyle bir şey aq. Grande Timo...
@1futileriver not even Stratovarius seem to enjoy it,apart from Tuomo Lassila,he has always been impressive live
anyone know what guitar tolkki used in this live?
I loved early Stratovarius but it was too much of a generic heavy metal band sounding. When I started to listen to this band years ago it was the Visions album that got me hooked, but still its great to hear the early stuff as it showed how it changed.
StratovariuS = TolkkI
... how old was Tolkki back then? He looks like a teenager
Tolkki is my Hero :)..
i think he is a better composer than Malmsteen, even if Timo was influenced by Yngwie... Timo created better music than malmsteen =D.
I mean.. I love the 90% of the songs from Stratovarius... and.. there are only maximum 10 songs that i really like from Malmsteen xD

me gustaria escucharlo cantar el hada y el mago jajaj
where i can find the full concert???
@tammysyl Sad but true. I can't tolerate that much. He was cool at a good mood and then he is like a dick the next time. Amazing influencial guitar player but definitely kind of messed up in the head, literally.
Great song...the audience sure do suck...
this is the real stratovarius, nowadays sucks!
Bah! Strato keeps goin great! If you don't like the new stuff is other facts.
