I cannot listen to other guitarists these days because Marcin has pushed the bar so high. My expectations of others are also very high now. Sorry to other guitarists who feel they are not quite there... 'Keep on all playing' i would say to them.😊
You should give Animals As Leaders and Polyphia a try. Very different from Marcin but an extremely high level of technical know-how. Keep in mind, there are all kinds of guitar styles for the music that they are playing in. For example, the blues. Marcin's technique doesn't work well with the blues because it's more about feeling and groove. Pavarotti is one of the world's greatest singers-ever. But his version of Master of Puppets would just.... suck. At least in my humble opinion 😁
