What a fish mate! My biggest cod is only like 50cm 😂, I’m sorta new to cod fishing…. Some Lovley slabs of gold also! 10:57 I recently brought one of my mates a couple of those for a b-day, he’s since caught a total of 10 cod on them in about a week! Keep up the awesome work mate! Tight lines bro! 🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙
Nice fish Kev. Good condition on that fish. I tend to film in 3-4 min chunks in the kayak when near good timber. I don't cast if the go pro is not on. Managed to get 5/5 meteries on film, but missed a couple of cool bits of vision due to camera failure.
I generally film non stop, though because I had to scale a cliff and walk a bit I decided to turn off the camera, that's what caught me out, I forgot to start again 😂 one for the memory bank.
Nice Kev congrats on the pb unlucky not to record it mate but I caught my biggest off the top 14 years ago in the Loddon and I still remember it clearly now mate awesome session mate cheers
Jackall Swing Mikey 115mm and Jackall Mikey 140. I've had lots of success with Murray Cod and Yellas. Just have to change the hooks to stronger ones (not bigger), Cod will bend the normal hooks that come on them 🎣😉
@@Fish.adv7 mostly Bridgewater area not really a spot to recommend it all comes down to the luck on the day but try fishing the good days when the barometer is good and also coming up to a new moon or full moon 3 days before and 3 days after seem to work for me but definitely not 100% chance of catching a fish cod are sooks little change and they will not eat
Honestly, I would suggest any location from Cairn Curran all the way through to the Loddon Weir which is just past Serpentine. The river changes a lot over that journey, plenty of skinny water stretches for walking banks and also wide areas for kayaking and boating. The cod are throughout the entire thing.
What a unicorn in the shape of a Murray Cod!
Awesome 👍
Thanks mate! 💯
Wow that’s an awesome fish well done great stuff and nice yellas love the colours of yellas in rivers
Thanks, they're beautiful fish, especially in the Loddon River, so much gold 🥇🎣🎣
Legendary! Funny AF! Great fish and thanks for putting her back
Glad you enjoyed it 🍻, one for the memory bank.
Great fish mate and some good tips too.
Thanks heaps mate, I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😎

They're great lures 🎣, cod fishing can be tough sometimes but persistence and you'll find a few good ones.
Great fish mate . Enjoying your clips
Cheers for the comment and the support Sean (Legend) 🎣
Nice vid. You’re not the only one who has gone to Taylors Lake and donutted. It has a lot of big fish but can be tough on lures
I hear ya, it’s a real challenge without bait 😭
I managed a 68cm near the wall earlier this year and was the first one I had caught in a while. I do fish Rocklands pretty hard tho
@@dridgeco I haven't gone to Rocklands yet, though it's on the list. Would you recommend casting or trolling? I'm not really a bait person 😎
@@tworodsdownunder casting in the timber in 3-4m is the way I go but trolling works to

You never forget a moment like that, one for the memory bank! 🍻
Definitely mate that’s a great fish
Where at the midden do you go Kev
Nice fish by the way😃👍
Usually around Bridgewater mate.
Awesome stuff may I ask where do you get the swim mikey from
It's a Jackall Swing Mikey 115, if your local tackle shop doesn't stock them you can purchase them online 😉
What wore the brand of lures u used after the top surface ones

Quick question I’m new to cod fishing what area do you fish the Loddon do you recommend

Great cod pity you didn't get the footage 😅
Yeah, it was a bummer I missed that bit, but one for the memory bank! 😅
Rookie mistake 😢
You know what Paul, if you were there and not driving trucks, there would be footage, low dog act imo 😂

@ 🤣🤣 can’t believe you weren’t filming your pb catch 🤦♂️
