I have absolute respect for Schlatt trying to get people to start stock portfolios. They're essential within our modern society where zero hour contracts, stagnant wages and other social issues limit the incomes of individuals. If you have a decent amount saved without any reason to save it for, such as buying personal items, use that money to start your own portfolios. There are a lot of really safe stocks out there that can give you a small amount of extra income that, after a couple decades, can be a significant portion of your income.

Honestly listening to Schlatt go on about investing and what-not is fun. The way he explains it just sticks for some reason. Once I start making money off of streaming I'm probably going to reinvenst it

If you're 18 like me I suggest you learn investing now because it'll save you in the long run. Never think of it as a way to get money but think of it as a journey to increase your knowledge. I started learning from the help of my aunt who's a Mexican immigrant that used to babysit kids but now has shares in different markets. I never knew much about index funds until jschlatt brought it up and I'm looking into that but as a young person you have nothing to lose so save up and put in 100 or as low as 20 to start off.

Mans needs to talk about mutual funds. Look into a broker if you're interested in investing. Investing blind is extremely risky.
S&p500 is stable 95 percent of mutual funds don’t beat the market and the s&p500 tracks the market and over long term it’s a good investment, you need to learn your shit
