    *What type of minerals are you adding to your system?*

      I am adding Fe Kelp based potash and Mg S...need to get my water tested...see where I am at.

      I'm completely New, & have a DWC grow bed. pH is very High at the moment and an algae boom is taking over!
      I haven't started growing yet.
      I only have a few fish, in a 1000 liter system, & no plants at the moment.

      @@brushhippie Thanks! Are you also adding other mineral sources such as egg shells?
      Cheers :)

      try out medical stone. It has lots of minerals. Medical stone is a kind of natural medicinal ore, which contains essential elements of potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc, iron, selenium, copper, strontium, iodine, fluorine, metasilicate and so on

    Sir in aquaponics, plant raises from fish waste, then why we need extra nutrients npk like in hydroponics?

    You really should take one of my classes it would really help you correct some of the info in this video.

      Hi Potent. I know you don't like rock dust. would you like to share your mineral secrets? Cheers

    • @PotentPonics
      @PotentPonics 5 лет назад +2

      @@AquaponicsRevolution Its not that i dont like rock dust the issue is that rock dust usually has alot of heavy metals so unless you know that source is free of heavy metals in a closed loop system this can quickly build up to high enough levels to cause issues. Your far better off dosing for individial nutrients instead of azamite or rock dust. Even rock phosphate can be an issue in closed loop systems with enough dosing for the same reason. Fossilized seabird guano also can build up sodium over time as one other organic example.

      @@PotentPonics yes, any bad nutrients you use in your system has that potential.
