Thank God that this channel exists. I am a big science nerd, and the main reason I love science so much is because I see it as a tool that helps me to see the true beauty of reality. It is more than a subject because science is actually a celebration of life. Right now I am a physics major in my undergrad, and I am thinking of double majoring with a mathematics degree. After my undergrad, I am going straight to grad school to go into electrical engineering. Thank you SciShow team for quenching my curiosity and making sure that I learn something new. If I ever have children, I am going to show them the SciShow kids channel.
Don't look at any of the god claims with an ability to evaluate truth. Definitely don't read a holy book with a touch of reality while interpreting it. If you live with anyone who prefers indoctrination over the known truth...... Science doesn't favor holy books. Science follows evidence, believers make the book meet the conclusion.
@@janusatthegate6201 When I am talking about God I am mostly talking about nature itself. I am mostly a pantheist. Not all Christians are young earth creationists. Some of the greatest scientists who ever existed are Christians. @michaelmayhem350 I know. Space is what really got me and science show has been a little blah since we lost the space part. I'm just being sad is all. Lol
Depends on the tech we're looking for, and how far away. Something like the Arecibo message would be detectable with current gear if it was aimed our way from pretty much anywhere in the galaxy.

I'm sure I don't know what I'm talking about but I think it's awesome how light seems to act just like Fractals. You can take a picture of the Moon with the tiny lens on your phone or the biggest lens you ever saw. 👍
Thinking about the Sun's metallicity, it wouldn't surprise me if the long-standing accepted figure had been indirectly baked into all sorts of astronomical figures and models, simply to keep them compatible, meaning many attempts to test it would be interpreting data using methods that tacitly assume the old figure is correct...
@michaelmayhem350 I created a folder for such videos, besides the given RUclips folder of watch later. If you go to the buttons below, near share is save. Then you create a folder or save it to one you already have. Plus you can always click through your watch history and find it within a day or so.

Weird that you thank god.

Wow, this is an incredible compilation, thank you for always putting out factual, fascinating and entertaining content.
Keep up the great work! I personally don’t have any pins yet, but I want to get some eventually.
Outstanding information ❤

How many here know what size a telephone booth is?
@@hoosierpioneer roughly 7' tall, 3.5' square shaped... About the size of a 32" enclosure for a shower ..
It depends on the telephone booth! In some cases a telephone booth is actually larger on the inside than the outside.
Telephone booths became extinct when a comet hit the earth. Or they evolved into cellphones. 🤔

The whole world does not see the same "pictures" humans imagine in the sky. Cultures' imaginings vary.
So, were sharks one of the very first larger animals to evolve?
I'm not able to watch the whole 1.5 hour video - but the 45 minutes amount was awesome. ❤
Ikr I wish there was some way we could save a long video to continue watching it later instead of being forced to watch it once or never see it again.
