  • Having fun with "Arkansas Traveler" in Drop D tuning. The first A and B parts are played in D major, while the second A and B parts are in D minor. The B part really works well in minor. Let me know in the comments which version you prefer and if you'd like a breakdown video!

Great version of this tune. I'd really like to see a breakdown at some point if you would. I really like your style of teaching. I have purchased a number of your lessons. Thank you for what you do.

Very cool! Sounds like something from Griegs’ Peer Gynt.😀

I learned something from your drop d lessons and I so grateful! Thank you maestro, but this thing is too difficult for me but sounds great, thanks for your talent and generosity 😊

Thanks for the idea! I'll give it a try and bring it to my next bluegrass jam.

Hi Roberto, another great rendition of an old tune. I must admit I like the Dm version best; I suppose it is different and I like different. However, playing both major and minor together, at a jam, would turn heads. Thanks for sharing.

That's an interesting way to twist the old tune.

As a solo guitarist why did you choose flatpicking over fingerpicking/fingerstyle?

I love both styles, I started on fingerstyle but later on I switched to flatpicking because I could get a better tone with the pick.
