I've just finished the storyline-so-far of this myself, and gosh darn was I impressed with this game. 25 hours for me, and I loved every minute. I encountered a minor bug a couple of times, and obviously there's the crazy busy server problems, but the game feels extremely polished considering it's Early Access. There are some balancing issues with certain creatures and moves and other stuff that's likely to be fixed/altered before the full release. This game is a true passion project dream come true!
Are the server problems the reason it wont let me play? I've been sitting on the screen where is says press any key for like 15 minutes and it just wont let me continue.
@@TheNellehFox not sure if it was a fix but after another about 10 minutes I lost connection to the servers reconnected then it put me in the queue so I guess it worked out lol.
Aw man, can not wait for this to come out of early access. Hopefully it does not stay in the graveyard of my wishlist with all the other early access games that never fully released.

I have to admit I prefer the stamina system here. Allows for struggle (take damage for running out of power) but you still have your unique abilities. I do feel a lot of these designs don’t have the wow factor of Pokemon designs, but its early days.
They could use a more dynamic battle map. The wind effects are good, maybe have the trees rustle and whatnot... maybe have different battle maps depending where you are

I’m a massive Pokémon fan that was massively disappointed by SwSh (haven’t watched your LP of it because I played it myself and watched another LP but your titles are making me consider it) so when I heard about this game I wanted to check it out to show my support for variety. And this vid will show me if this game is worth it, so ty. Pre Video Comment: Love the stamina system in this game, adds a layer of tactics not seen in the Pokemon games. I'm considering it, but honestly, I doubt my friends would be interested/have the time, and MMOs are not fun without them. Think I'll stick to Pokemon Ultra Violet. If I am still around in a year or two after they have done some balancing and stuff I may consider it. Nintendo really dropped the ball not doing this concept, instead of CaD'd the attempted fan MMO games they should have taken their lead.
@@snikerz5886 Ultra Violet is FireRed and LeafGreen 'Dexes in one game, allowing to catch the special event ones like Mew in in-game events. Also adds a whole new Gen 3 island.

To me the temtem designs and typing and overall artstyle along with the use of cartridges instead of balls, reminds me strongly of a pokemon rip-off called micromon which was an ios game. I mean temtem definitely looks like the superior game with the cleanest graphics and most likely the similarities are pure coincidence. But some of the Temtem designs seriously remind me of some of the micromon designs.
grab a buddy and go play co-op! is a lot of fun, and makes the dojos (gyms) a lot more interesting. They are a lot harder than the ones in pokemon, so getting your ass kicked with someone that you can shift the blame to feels a lot better

Temtem is not a clone of Pokemon, they belong in the same genre, yes but that does not mean it is a pokemon clone - that's incredibly offensive to the designer who put in effort to create this product. Yes, the influence can be seen - but you can take any part of any game and claim it was a clone of something made before. That's how it works, you take something you liked and improvise from there. Pokemon is just popular, it is not a genre and it is not a god. Don't treat it to a high standard, it's not a good one to have set anyways.
Visually it looks way better than Sword and Shield. Not that much of an accomplishment, but still. I'm IMMEDIATELY drawn to the fact that the whole game seems to be double-battles. Which clearly is the superior form of battling.

evolution is based on levels gained after you tamed them, not a set level. Just so people know.
So if you catch one at high level it will be harder or even impossible to evolve?

I didn't really notice the MMO aspect all that much until you got to the 2nd town and had *one twentieth* of what was required to buy a hat.
Sounds like they've taken to the team fortress 2 economic priorities.

They should make it an option to play offline so that servers going down wont effect players.

When the servers are working correctly, there are a ton of people always running around in the same area that you are.
If your going through the town's alot of people, but most places there will be alot less than the towns but still a bunch
