I have a big sage plant in the garden that makes lovely pink flowers. I will try to propagate as it is so lovely and easy to look after. - Thank you

The leaves are cut in half to reduce water loss from them, they dont need much leaf. Also its less likely that the leaves will touch and spread fungal infections. I do a similar thing with pelargoniums that are very leafy.

Wouldn't they be more open to infection now that you've damaged (weaken them) them and provided entry?

Interesting with the rocks. I never saw that before but I did use rocks instead of mulch for my potted plants before.

Thanks for the video. Is the compost sterilized? Ive had lousy luck with rooting cuttings; most rot away

I can't see where you actually cut the plant. And is this technique any different for soft wood cuttings?

Hi, can you please tell me, the reason for cutting the leaves on a angle . Why the stones and no water before the bag on top of the pot. An extremely interested newbie to getting my plants to grow and not die.

What exactly is grit? I have been trying to find good coarse sand for my cactus, succulent, and herb soil, and I can't find anything decent. Someone said I should use "turkey grit". Where can I find this?
