i´m from Portugal and i´ve never heard about cajun music. well, now i know how to start my day
ha ha ha
After Hurricane Katrina I spent about a year in the New Orleans area.....St. Bernard Parish. I came back to Tennessee with a love for Zydeco music.
Rosy Ledet is another you should hear.....
This is truly an awesome song!!!!!
True spirit amazing. Thanks brothers for you making us feel to dance
I first discovered this music in the film Southern Comfort and it got into my life and have enjoyed it ever since... Way to go 😎😎😎😎😎
I also first discovered Cajun music watching Southern Comfort 🕶️
Bonjour a tous,
Alain
I love this music..! I come from the Visigothic Kingdom, Burgundian French, Spanish Conquistadors and the Floridian Seminole Indians. We are related…..
I’m falling for Cajun music . Great musicians! Cheers from the Philippines.
This isn't what I would call the best example of Cajun. The fiddle player, Joel Savoy, is a well known modern Cajun fiddler. You could search videos of his family, The Savoy Family Band, to hear some good Cajun.
But you really should search Doug Kershaw playing "Jolie Blon".
Don't forget the zydeco music. Very good as well. Greetings from Sweden.
Don't you just love it when people smile when they do something they enjoy. Great music. Cheers from down under Aus.
Ireland loves this👌🌀❤️🌹
Of course it does!!
My Father brought cajun music back to our home in philly from Louisiana i fell for it and i always look back to those days when i hear it
Love this music. Very bluesy but lively and entertaining. Very similar to our traditional country music in South Arica. Well done
H,
Sounds like a mix of "Move on over" a "Long gone daddy" by Hank. And two of my favorites by Hank Williams.
Exactly! Don't you just love it? I certainly do.
You are a great Cajun band I live in Australia wish we had that music
put a band together ! and play 👍🏼🎸🎻🥁🪗
I keep coming back to this song. My heart starts singing every time. Boy I wish I could live in Louisiana in stead of Belgium. You can't find this marvelous rooted kind of music here.
There's a lot to like about Belgium too!
Live in Indiana- very diverse state.
@@ltjuglans194 Cajun comes from the word Acadian, an ethnic group living in the states of Louisiana and Texas, and in the Canadian maritimes provinces consisting in part of the descendants of the original Acadian exiles. After 1764, many exiled Acadians from Canada finally settled in Louisiana, which had been transferred by France to Spain at the end of the French and Indian War. The Cajuns make up a significant portion of south Louisiana's population and have had an enormous impact on the state's culture.

" Le moulin il est cassé " = " The Mill's broken " haha
Thanks for posting! What fun!
I'm rocking rockabilly but this is god's rocking qaulity xxxx
That singer man has the exact same experession on his face when he offers the microphone to the other guy, as my friend, a guitarist in my band when he offers the guitarsolo to some other guitarist. 😊
Magnífico!
i like
Fiddle player Joel is awsome and so is his pretty wife Kelly

If you want to understand Cajuns, read their history on how they came to be in America. My daddy is Cajun.

..Chapeau..... norbert > germany 2. febr. 2018
Wow foot tapper this one.
I want to be this
fiddler sounds good
Hi everybody ! Wonderful music really… Does anybody know where I could find the lyrics and eventually tabs ? I Don't find them on the Web. I write from Belgium.
This sounds suspiciously like The old Hank Williams song, Move it on Over! No complaints though, It sounds pretty damn good. I love me some good Cajun.
That young lady sure makes that bass sing a pretty tine.
Nadine Landry. She's married to the guy playing acoustic, Sammy Lind, who is the hottest fiddle player ever. The mandolin player, Caleb Klauder, and his wife Reeb Willms, are in a band called Foghorn Stringband with Lind and Landry, and they're outstanding.
Eu pensei a mesma coisa. Em que ano foi composta "My Time Is Gonna Come"? Veja também "Move It On Over" de Hank Williams, composta em 1947.
Very good! I think de same thing. When "My Time Is Gonna Come" was composed? See "Move It On Over" by Hank Williams , composed in 1947.
