Through hard times, we try to cover up our cracks, troubles, and problems. But instead of trying to cover our mistakes, we should use our mistakes, and embrace them to fix the future. Some times our problems turn us into incognetic monsters, that take us over uncontrollably. Mistakes have the power to turn you into something better than you were before. Don't hide your mistakes, or flaws. Everyone was born uniquely. You are a gift, and you are loved. We are all beautiful in our own ways. We all need to see ourselves. We need "Kintsugi" to refelct and improve upon our former being. However, most essentially, Love yourself. Love the people around you. Love you. Be bold. Be beautiful. Be you ;)
I absolutely love this song, but I feel like the video is missing a key part of the concept of Kintsugi. It’s not about rewinding back to before the damage happened. It’s about embracing the damage and consequent repair as a part of the story. The scars are part of the unique story. Unbroken vases (or phones, or cakes) are not unique. A vase that has been broken and repaired is utterly unlike any other vase. It is it’s own thing, with its own unique past.
