Same thing when my Blackhawks played Detroit in 1995 lost three straight absolutely decimated them in game 4 and lost in OT game 5

Oilers scouted Bob well. He handles huge amounts of shots. You need to score on him early and keep it to huge scoring chances.

Buddy chill we grabbed a 3 game lead they were desperate fora win. The Celtics won 3 in a row then the Mavs smoke them in a desperate situation. Then the Celtics won in game 5 at home and this is what's going to happen with Florida. They are an incredible team.

This is such a tired take. NHL had nothing to do with this beat down. I’m not a fan of either team so I’m unbiased but please explain to me how the NHL stepped in and helped Edmonton take this game.

I am not worried about the Panthers. They took a few punches in game 4 and will do better in game 5.
I think the key for the Panthers now is throw Edmonton’s game back at them. You need to play a complete game on both ends of the ice, tighten up defensively and strive for similar breaks like Edmonton had tonight. With the goal of scoring as many goals as possible. That’s the way. Because Edmonton at their best is a high scoring team. They need to be shut down, as well as for the final push with Florida, the Panthers need to try and score as many goals as they can themselves. Even if it’s 6 goals or more. Whatever it takes.
So what youre saying is that if they want to win they should score more goals than the other team? I agree.
Panthers will loose horribly playing Edmontons game. They need to win by drawing calls (embellishing), provoking, playing tight checking, and relying on their goalie to win games.

Boys do not worry much, you won last 6 games straight, tonight you lose, but the shit like this happens. Don’t let this break you mentally, it’s very important. Honestly Oilers didn’t play well or any better tonight than in 3 previous games, just you were not playing your style of hockey. Get rest, regroup, and finish them in game 5. Support Bobby, he is a great goalie and tonight was not his fault that our defense took a day off.

Given that Florida D pinches in alot, and there is such an emphasis on the forecheck, it was just a matter of time until the Oilers and Knobloch figured out how to exploit that approach. Long stretch passes, and burn the Cats with their speed. It will be interesting to see how the Panthers and Maurice adapt. I do think Bob needed some rest. Stolarz looked solid.

They flew their families in to watch them win the cup. Instead, it's nice that their families were there to comfort them after such an embarrassing loss.

Panther forecheck was extremely off and it allowed Edmonton to play suckhole like Dallas. You have to get to pucks first or start skating in possessions and forcing Oilers to stay home and trying to defend. You can't allow them to leave their wings floating out at red line or even the blueline which creates the stretch pass issue.
