Chris Collins is a treasure that cut his singing career short for his own reasons. I have played his you tube presentation countless times. He is and will always be the best. Go Kingsmen.
I've listened to the Kingsmen since the 70's and just as a pure tenor, Chris Collis is the best. Ernie Phillips is very close. If you listen to one song , Little is Much, you will hear the most beautiful tenor you will hear from a quartet tenor. Hamill had it right. Chris is the best.
When Chris came on, he wasn't there yet, but he improved and grew into the spot. I wouldn't put him in the tier with Ernie Phillips, Parrack, Sheppard and Jerry Martin vocally, but he had the most improvement from start to finish of any tenor the group ever hired.
I appreciate all the men and women ,who sing songs that honor our Lord ! Amen ?

Chris is/was a great tenor. Soft and melodic voice. I can hear his faith running through his voice.

Oh i agree with you, he has a beautiful voice. He wasn't a "screecher" lol. like Parrack, Phillips, and Sheppard. :)
